The hotel is pretty good, affordable and higher standards it has multiple options for food & coffee, 24hr room service really good amenities the hotel has a bar area where they do live music/karaoke. It has a nice smell the minute you walk in. Stayed multiple times on a one week span and my girlfriend and I really enjoyed it.

Second time I stay here. Nice and modern hotel located in the heart of Santo Domingo business district. One issue I had was my room location which was across from the ice machine. The noise of the ice machine making new ice was loud and frequent. Next time I will ask for my room to be changed but there probably should be a room there to begin with. There is no door to the ice machine but there should be to reduce the noise. My room was also next to the linen room and service entrance. Overall service was good. Decent food selection but limited. Restaurants downstairs are good but remind the servers you get a 10% discount. The sushi place is tops. In the gym it’s a little warm and there are some attachments for the weight machine that are missing. Good price for location in Santo Domingo.

Brand new hotel. I understand they opened the day prior to my stay. The room is very comfortable. Perfect bedding. Perfect air conditioning. Very clean. Very large corridors. No noise. However, the first day, there was no hot water, no pressure in the shower. That was fixed the same day in the afternoon. There is no handle in the shower door. They provide drinkable water but there is is no glass. No "do not disturb" sign. No coffee maker. No complimentary tea or coffee. No dental kit. They do not serve breakfast at this hotel. All these amenities and services, you expect to have in a hotel of that price and standing. The staff is extremely nice, from the front door personnel to the manager. They try to go out of their way to please you. They offered a simple "snacked breakfast" the second day to make up for the lack of hot water, but it took more than 30 minutes to get ready. I guess the infrastructure is not ready yet to open this hotel. They need about a week to get ready. That is why I am giving them an average grade. But they have a huge potential. And I would gladly return if the current issues are fixed. Waiting to see other people's comments in the next 2 months.

I tried to involve management and they was no follow up. The location is ideal but I was very disappointed with their lack of accountability and poor customer service

I had a great stay at the Aloft Hotel! The atmosphere was modern and vibrant, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the room was clean and comfortable. I especially enjoyed the breakfast. Presento una queja formal y categórica contra el personal de recepción. El trato irrespetuoso, abusivo y carente de profesionalismo del señor que me atendió fue tan grave que me vi forzado a abandonar el hotel, perdiendo mi estadía pese a tener una reserva válida. Sin embargo, tiene varios aspectos negativos: 1- El parqueo es costoso (US$10 por día), lo cual no parece justo para una persona que está alojada. 2- Las atenciones del personal son lentas, solicitas un servicio a la habitación y no llega o llega tardío. 3- El personal accede a tu habitación sin importar que estés dentro (supuestamente para revisar que todo esté bien), no me parece adecuado.

I recently had a very disappointing experience at Aloft Santo Domingo Piantini. Upon arrival, despite having a confirmed and paid reservation, the hotel did not have my room available. To make matters worse, the staff was incredibly rude and unprofessional, offering no assistance or explanation for the situation. Their claim that I attempted to check in and then decided to leave voluntarily is completely false. Why would I leave after arriving and paying for the room? To make the situation even more absurd, they requested an ID for my young daughter, which is completely unnecessary and not standard practice for hotel check-ins. It felt like they were grasping at straws to cover up their lack of preparation and availability. Given the poor treatment, I was forced to leave and find another hotel, which was not only inconvenient but also frustrating after having already paid for a room at Aloft. The entire experience was unacceptable, and I would advise anyone considering this hotel to think twice. There are far better options in Santo Domingo where customer service is taken seriously, and you won't have to deal with rude staff and false claims. I highly recommend avoiding this hotel if you're looking for a smooth, hassle-free stay.

The hotel is good. The valet service is not reliable. If you have transportation reserved make sure it is yours. It appears they have connections with taxis and will lie to get you in their taxis. I had a reserved taxi and the valet said my taxi was there. I got charged for an airport trip after telling the driver I reserved online and I wasn’t paying for a trip after I had already paid and reserved. Beware!

What a great experience staying at Aloft! This was a not a lucky week for us and we ran in to several issues. At every step of the way, the staff was fantastic - even though the situations were personally difficult. They were kind, supportive, patient and just had GREAT attitudes. They were always willing to go above and beyond! Two employees were absolutely the best - Jacinto and Naraye. These 2 employees made us feel at home. We were so grateful to have them in our lives at this time!

Clean room, great service at breakfast and good breakfast options. Parking was easy to get in and out of. Hotel was good location, about 20-25 minutes drive to the malls ( blue, agora, sambil), malecon and colonial area due to traffic. Would recommend and stay here again.
