Worst experience in my many years of traveling. 15 steps to enter hotel, making it very difficult to carry luggage up. Elevator holds only 2 people. Registration is on the 3rd floor. WORST OF ALL, the floor-to-ceiling drapes collapsed. The night manager tried but was unable to rehang them. Since there were no other rooms in the hotel, we were transferred to another around the block. We were not given any refund or reduction. The night manager was outstanding. Otherwise a horrible experience.

Rooms are small, but very nice. Bathrooms are not separated by a “real” wall, only by a glass window, so you need to be very comfortable with the person you’re sharing the room with. Staff is awesome, the breakfast was very delicious and they offer laundry service. Highly recommend this hotel !

We only stayed for one night so we didn’t take advantage of all the amenities on offer. The map takes you to a wrong gate, a call button and they quickly tell you where to go. There is about 6 steep stairs and then you go to the third floor to check in. The two young ladies who helped us when we arrived were fantastic! Friendly, poked after bags, arranged an airport shuttle, joked with us and told us everything we needed to know.Our room was great. Small is but well priced and super functional & clean. They don’t have air conditioning. But a window opens and lets good air in, it’s noisy from the street below but it was a nice chatter and restaurant flow vibe going and beautiful food smells, which drew us out.They have one of the smallest elevators. Near the Cuban district and easy walking distance to the Acropolis!. Bed was comfortable, shower nice. Lady that followed us to the lobby at 5:45 am was a bit overbearing. We had arranged for a airport transfer so we took our bags down to the ground floor to make it easier from our 1st floor room (remember the tiny elevator and reception is on the third floor) She came down and asked are you checking out? We said yes shortly. She said do you have a key? As soon as we drop our bags…. When I went up, she continued to grill me on why we were leaving? Why he left the door open? he is taking 4 bags down the stairs on his own. You don’t know what Taxi (explained yesterday) Why would you leave? 3rd degree grilling! Like I was running??

When you first walk in, you are actually greeted by the spa desk. You need to travel three flights up the stairs to find the hotel check encounter. I think I would have appreciated having the hotel check encounter right at the entrance so they could also monitor who comes in and out of the hotel. Hypothetically speaking, anyone could have walked into the hotel at any moment which would not have made me feel safe. Otherwise the hotel is lovely, the rooms were cleaned every day, and the balcony we had was great. Smaller rooms but I have learned that is just part of European culture.

Location is good for walking to the sights. Right next to a fish restaurant, transfer couldn’t get to the hotel , so had to walk with our bags through this very busy fish restaurant. Reception was on the 3rd floor. Elevator extremely small enough for 2 people or 2 large pieces of luggage. Our stay was OKAY, we asked for late checkout at 1pm since we were leaving Athens that day. This hotel will store your luggage if needed.

Perfect little spot within walking distance of the Acropolis and other ruins. The area around the hotel is full of flea market shops and small local eateries. If you are taking lots of luggage, it may be difficult to maneuver on the streets around the hotel and in the elevator, but we made it work! Very nice cafe on the top floor as well.

If you are looking for a property that is clean and serves a great breakfast with a view, then this is the place for you. Step out of the entrance and you are already in the middle of vibrant eating and shopping lanes. Close to the train station. Would stay here again.

Excellent hotel! Small and not touristy. Clean rooms, lovely shower, delicious restaurant, great service! Staff was so helpful! Beautiful views of the Acropolis from hotel restaurant. 10 minutes walking distance from all major sites. Excellent fish restaurant right outside the hotel door. AC worked great. All was fantastic! And very reasonably priced. Hamman located right in the hotel. I can't say enough about this hotel for its amenities and value. Thank you!

L'Avventura is a well designed hotel located within an easily walkable area, close to the Monastiraki metro station. The room was really nice, if cozy, and the large modern bathroom was a welcomed change from other properties I'd stayed in in Greece. The staff was incredibly helpful and I was shocked more people weren't taking advantage of happy hour upstairs. The vibe of rooftop bar is fantastic - I always sat at one of the tables with the view of the Acropolis.

This is a really nice hotel. The location is absolutely brilliant. It is on a side street just off a main street but maps bring you right to the door. The reception is on the 3rd floor but there is a small lift. Check in was easy and the staff were lovely. The room was clean and very comfortable, the only issue was there was a smell coming from the bathroom but it wasnt unbearable. The room was made up each day. The little restaurant was nice and the staff were very friendly, the food was lovely. Some of the tables have a view of the Acropolis which was lovely. Check out was straight forward. This hotel is a great spot for a few days, the city sightseeing buses go from just up thr road. You can walk to the Acropolis and other attractions. All around I highly recommend staying here.

The hotel was very clean. The receptionist was very welcoming and assisted whenever it was needed. They also provided recommendations of things to do throughout the city. The room was very clean and spacious. I would recommend this hotel to anyone that is staying in Athens. It's a nice walk to the Acropolis day and night.

Overall very good location in the center and the room felt very clean. However one big problem was that our shower was completely blocked, the water was not moving down at all and there was no separator between the shower and the rest of the room. As a result we had to stuff every towel possible to keep the water from not going all around our room, and even then it was not possible. I don’t understand how this was missed if the shower was cleaned. That was my main concern, and the fact that the hotel was sending me messages in WhatsApp without asking me for permission first, to propose private transport from the airport.

Beautiful hotel, very friendly reception at check-in. Good location, very central! beautiful room with large balcony! beautiful view of the city from the restaurant. What we did not like was that we found a lot of hair on the mattress and under the pillow, which I found very unhygienic and unpleasant. (it was dark hair and we are blonde ourselves so it was certainly not ours)

This property is really nice especially if you need like a 1-2 day stay. We stayed for one night before leaving back to JFK. Staff is amazing however this part of Athens does have a sewer issue so there is a stench in the hotel off and on. Also construction was loud outside the room early in the morning and during the night the AC hummed on and off. So it’s not that quiet if you are a light sleeper. Parking was off site and can be an issue. We parked about a 4 minutes walk away. (Extra cost). But very close to everything!

A very nice property. We had a good sized room with a large bed. The bathroom and shower were great. Nice veranda we didn’t really use - the view was not great. Walkable to some very nice restaurants. The staff was very friendly.

A wonderful overall experience. The room has A/C but it only works on heat and cooling according to the dates set by the hotel operations. An A/C in the room is one of my first "Go-To" when I choose a room. It was so hot when we arrived and the A/C could only be set to Heat. If I knew that in advance I wouldn't choose to stay there.

We stayed one night in the room with the fantastic view of the acropolis on our private patio. We ordered take away and had drinks and dinner there as the sun set. The room itself was large with many amenities. There was even a view of the acropolis from the shower. The room was very comfortable, and we wished we had stayed longer. A few blocks in one direction the neighborhood seemed a little iffy; in the other direction it was a vibrant, interesting, neighborhood, especially at night.

The room though is very nice, modern and spacious. The bed and pillow are very comfortable. It was also very reasonably priced. The first desk staff were very nice and they very happy to help with anything. The bathrobe and slippers were also a nice addition. I also liked that the safe was big enough to fit a laptop in as I happened to be carrying mine this trip. The mini bar was also nicely stocked with tea and coffee being free. I didn't take anything else so I can't comment on the prices. However, it can be very noisy outside in the evenings/night but I get to sleep pretty easily and don't get too disturbed by noise. The shower in the room and is completely transparent. Definitely not a room you'd share if you weren't with your partner. As a solo traveller I didn't like that there was no peep hole or lock in the door. It's not the end of the world but would have made be feel a bit better.
The room though is very nice, modern and spacious. The bed and pillow are very comfortable. It was also very reasonably priced. The first desk staff were very nice and they very happy to help with anything. The bathrobe and slippers were also a nice addition. I also liked that the safe was big enough to fit a laptop in as I happened to be carrying mine this trip. The mini bar was also nicely stocked with tea and coffee being free. We only stayed for one night so we didn’t take advantage of all the amenities on offer. The map takes you to a wrong gate, a call button and they quickly tell you where to go. There is about 6 steep stairs and then you go to the third floor to check in. The two young ladies who helped us when we arrived were fantastic! Friendly, poked after bags, arranged an airport shuttle, joked with us and told us everything we needed to know.Our room was great. Small is but well priced and super functional & clean. They don’t have air conditioning. But a window opens and lets good air in, it’s noisy from the street below but it was a nice chatter and restaurant flow vibe going and beautiful food smells, which drew us out.They have one of the smallest elevators. Near the Cuban district and easy walking distance to the Acropolis!. Bed was comfortable, shower nice. Lady that followed us to the lobby at 5:45 am was a bit overbearing. We had arranged for a airport transfer so we took our bags down to the ground floor to make it easier from our 1st floor room (remember the tiny elevator and reception is on the third floor) She came down and asked are you checking out? We said yes shortly. She said do you have a key? As soon as we drop our bags…. When I went up, she continued to grill me on why we were leaving? Why he left the door open? he is taking 4 bags down the stairs on his own. You don’t know what Taxi (explained yesterday) Why would you leave? 3rd degree grilling! Like I was running??

The young ladies at the front desk were absolutely amazing on 8/2/25. They kindly stored my luggage and allowed me to sit upstairs to write my postcards. One of them even looked up the nearest post office for me and offered to drop off the postcards herself—an incredibly thoughtful gesture that truly warmed my heart. She went above and beyond. In addition to the exceptional staff, the hotel is centrally located and surrounded by great brunch spots and convenient meeting points for popular tours. I will definitely book again.

Our Greek language skills were very limited and our taxi driver had difficulty finding the location, but the receptionist was contacted by phone who facilitated our locating the hotel successfully. Breakfasts were well above average fare.

L'Avventura Athens is perfectly located in the city and will allow you to walk almost anywhere to the main attractions of Athens (10-20 minutes walk). Location is key, room were comfortable and clean. Cleaning Ladies were so friendly and double-checked on me to make sure I had all I needed. Front desk were very friendly and helpful especially Nora and Anna. There are a lot of great restaurants right under the building (try Atlantikos and kalamakia o Elvis) it is great for days you do not feel like going far. I would return to this property or their sister one next door if I am ever in athens.

The property was in a great location, close to Monastiraki square! The Ancient Agora and Psirri square. The staff was very helpful and accommodating but getting to and in the hotel was difficult for mobility impaired persons, narrow alleyway and stairs up to hotel.

The rooms are really well designed. The windows are well insulated so noise is reduced. People were friendly. There is a stunning view on the 4th floor of the acropolis. BUT Its a very odd hotel. Its the devil to.find. it has steep steps going up into the hotel - after having hoiked your luggage up alleyways to get there. And if youre weary from travelling... The lower levels are above noisy popular but narrow st of restaurants and view is into buildings. I was a bit worried about security - the front door is open most of the time and reception is on the 3td floor. Anyone can get in and get to any floor. And then a couple of things on service - when I discovered my room was on the 1st floor I asked for higher. She said they had one but I had to pay the difference €116 . Which I understand but usually a hotel will upgrade you if the rooms are free. And - on the day i was checling out there was a taxi srtike. I found out at 5am when i looked at my.phone. No one at the hotel had warned the guests - and the reception staff all knew id need a cab on that morning. And yes i realise these are things i should expect but it makes a huge difference in recommending. Having said that they were super helpful when i asked for specific things. Location is pretty good but next time i would stay in plako. This area was kinda grungy funky and a bit of a dump. (Hotel is great - good contemporay design).

Perfect location in the city center of Athens. Just a 3 minute walk to Monastiraki Market, the metro station and Psiri. The area is so vibrant and we had so many great meals and cocktails! Quick walk to Ancient Agora, the Temple of Hephaestus, Library of Hadrian, the Parthenon and Acropolis. The staff was SUPER friendly and helpful! I would definitely recommend having the desk order transportation. They arranged our return to the airport and upgraded us to a lovely car and driver.

Rooms are small, but very nice. Bathrooms are not separated by a “real” wall, only by a glass window, so you need to be very comfortable with the person you’re sharing the room with. Staff is awesome, the breakfast was very delicious and they offer laundry service. Highly recommend this hotel !

There is a wonderful breakfast available upstairs on the 4th floor veranda with a view of Acropolis Hill. The bar opens for a midday break or evening refreshment. There are many dining options available in the neighborhood within walking distance and tourist attractions! Staff was knowledgeable and helpful on many levels, booking transportation, making recommendations and storing our luggage until check in time while we explored the area.

Pros: Property was in a great location and the staff was very responsive. The restaurant has excellent home made food and wonderful buffet spread. Cons: the hotel photos do not fully represent the views or overall condition of the hotel. The only views are from the 4th floor restaurant and even then there are only two or three tables that have a view. We had 4 rooms for our family and none of our key cards would work by the end of the day. Showers have open doors to the room and some have windows into the shower and toilet. They do not provide lotion but have great bath products otherwise.

The staff was nice, straightforward, and a pleasure to deal with. The hotel is centrally located yet in a fairly quiet place (and merely closing your windows will be enough to not be bothered by the alley noise)--there is a hammam (independent) in the same building so you can treat yourself from your room directly to it and The Atlantikos next door offers affordable and excellent grilled fish. I'll be back in Athens and I'll be back at The Avventura

Beautiful views of the Acropolis from hotel restaurant. 10 minutes walking distance from all major sites. Excellent fish restaurant right outside the hotel door. AC worked great. All was fantastic! It was a great stay! The area of the hotel could not have been better, because all of the most popular sightseeing places are within 10min walk. Lots of restaurants around in the tiny streets/alleys. Breakfast was amazing and portions are really big. A bit of a buffet services for coffee/tea, porridge, oats, pie/cakes and then your main food you can choose from the restaurant menu.
