Aquamarina Beach Hotel

We really liked the pool options and the easy access to everything and the friendliness of the staff, you can tell it's an older place but it's well taken care of and the price was right for us.

Great service and nice pool and restraunts. Beach is kinda small.

I liked the hotel..clean, friendly, good food...Nice pools..It's has a small gym with dumbbells & a life fitness multi exercise machine plus treadmills..It's close to a beautiful mall..There's a bike path for walking, jogging, rollerblading etc...very safe..Across the street there's a good taco place & also a 7 eleven type store for water etc... it's two blocks from a ferry for Isles de Mujeres island..$30 round trip...beautiful ferry..

Muy atractivo para familias, las piscinas y chapoteaderos excelentes, el desayuno y almuerzo muy ricos, la cena algo no muy acordé a cena y los horarios de apertura de la piscina algo reducidos, la atención limpieza y sobre todo los servicios de bar y actividades muy agradable y buena

Excellent resort with a family environment. Adults can enjoy an excellent swimming pool with bar as well two fantastic jacuzzis. Kids can enjoy a water park with swiming pool areas. Daily fun activities for kids and adults. Food is delicious offering a great variety of international culinary dishes with an emphasis of Mexican and southamerican food. I strongly recommend it if you want to enjoy vacations in a family environment.

Un todo incluido muy cómodo. Con lo necesario. Las instalaciones están en buen estado. A mis hijos les gusta. Una cosa que sugeriría sería que limpien su playa está muy pequeña y no la limpian ya de por si el sargazo es molesto creo que eso estaría muy bien

Camaristas, recepción, meseros, personal de restaurantes y limpieza super buena atención, muy amables. Uno de los guardias de seguridad de recepción un poco pedante jajaja pero fuera de eso excelente. Las areas de albercas muy padres y la bahía privada super tranquila con camastroa y palmeras.

I did not like how the pool area closed at 8pm and the security guard was also rude about telling guest to get out of pool. I was unaware of the pool hours which I think the front guest should have given me a schedule of activities the hotel hosted as well as what time things closed. She did not disclose it.

Enjoyed a couple of days. Mostly Mexican families with fun pools and large splash pad. Quiet at night. Sweet small beach with palms. Food was okay. Service outstanding.

La propiedad esta ubicada en una muy buena area playa cerca y muelle, personal muy amable, lo que no me gusto esq se ve viejo y aparte me toco ver una cucarachota grande muy grande como del tamaño de mi pulgar😢 y eso pues no me gusto para nada xq tenia miedo q se fuera a meter al equipaje

This is a terrible overpriced hotel that I don’t recommend anyone to stay in. Very Filthy hotel. Rude staff. No one understands English very well. Filthy washroom with old rusted shower. It’s open from all sides when it comes to the hotel exterior construction, lizards can come in the room easily. I checked out two days early and will be coordinating with Expedia for a partial refund although I know even Expedia won’t be assisting. The hotel stated to contact agency (Expedia) for a refund. This hotel is not even close to the pictures it’s advertised as. Some rude staff at the pool side also

I complained about roaches being in the restroom, and on the bed. So they put a towel down in the restroom. The shower was stopped up and wouldn't drain. I was fighting roaches, And all sorts of bugs. Tv was only in Spanish, and only one person in the entire resort spoke English. The service was okay, but you had to go get your own drinks each time. The staff didn't ask, nor bring drinks to you on The beach nor pool area.

Nice and relaxing resort with good variety of activities/ food. Staff were friendly and spoke English. Wifi signal was very bad; hardly any signal in the room or common areas ( good way to detox).

Beachfront property but Overpriced 1. The best thing about the property is the beach access. 2. The pool and jacuzzi are good, poolside bar and snack bar were nice and not that expensive 3. There is a Starbucks, oxxo, and money exchange nearby But it is not worth the money you pay overall! 1. The rooms are old, not like the pictures 2. The bathroom is so small and old and the door was not sliding properly, The Shower is the worst, lukewarm water only no hot water. 2. Towels are in the worst condition ever

This place is nice enough. Everything is average.The staff is nice, but not going out of their way to make sure your have great stay. They charge you to turn on the refrigerator. The breakfast was good. The walls were so thin that I could hear the cellphone alerts from the room next door. I could hear their snoring as well. The towels were all very work out and ripped. There is no wifi. They claim there is wifi but when you arrive they tell you the wifi isn't working.

Everything was good in my opinion. It is kid friendly prepare for that. Seems like alot of locals which is fine. Hot tub is nice. Drinks were good and cheap if inclusive package isnt done. The beach is ok i went in an my feet sunk a half a foot lol probobaly not the best. The only negative is the wifi signal needs to be stronger especially being on the 6th floor alot of cut in an out

The staff were super helpful especially Daniel . The room is dated with some better decoration would be amazing . Difficult to charge phone and laptop as power points are limited. Nice overall stay 🙏

Some of the staff were very friendly, others were standoffish, not sure if that was due to language. The hair dryers didn't work. The safes were broken, we got a letter saying that they weren't responsible for our valuables if they're out of the safe. But in the end nothing got stolen, the housekeeping staff were very nice. Hotel was quite run down. Food was ok. Air conditioning worked well, bed was comfortable. Really good price. They charged us $21 per day to use the fridge, plus some other fees that were smaller. Not perfect but good for what we needed.

Muy cómodo con una excelente vista. Si un poco ruidoso. Creo me tocó habitación que usualmente las venden compartidas y se escuchaba fuerte los sonidos; pero por lo demás excelente ubicación, preciosa habitación y vista. Ojalá tuviera más opciones de Restaurantes. Muy complacida con la estancia.

the ocean view and beach condition are not great. Too many boat-docks blocked the ocean views, and a lot of seaweeds on the beach. The neighbor hotel holds very loud music party until 4AM. it s so load and people can't sleep well.

poor wifi

The staff was good, I just did not appreciate the extra fee at the check in and making you sign that you agree of to pay that fee otherwise you must go to another hotel. also they give you a tv remote control and check in and must return at check out, in all of my travels I have never seen this, not even in two star hotels. and the wait at the check out so they can check the room before they can gave me a receipt, I do not know is this common in al the hotels, but definitely I will not book that hotel again

Got there at 9:40am i was on line and they called over the lady behind me and asked how can we help you totally ignoring me and my family. They stated we can not give you a room until 3pm when they acknowledged me. We had to sit in waiting area until 11 were permitted to go into the buffet section where the food was not good at all and it was the repeat items daily. At the pool section there was another buffet and one day i went in with my daughters in our bathing suits as we would get in pool after and they told us to get out and go put clothes on i was truly upset with the experience i also brought insulin with me as i am diabetic and noticed fridge in room was off i asked and they wanted to charge a couple hundred pesos to use it which i did not pay. A lot of money spent and felt horrible the whole time.

Su proceso de checki inn es muy ineficiente La recepcionista no encontraba la reservación de expedía y me hizo dejar una noche en garantía en efectivo . A las 23 horas hablaron por teléfono para solicitar que recupere mi depósito

en recepcion me cobraron $189 mas sin razon alguna, supuestante cuando se hizo la reserva a ellos no les llegaron los datos correctos.

The front desk was terrible in helping out with anything! No American money-all change given in pesos. All inclusive is limited - room service not included. No alcohol available with room service. Only good thing was it was clean! Staff was always cleaning!

Horrible experience! Rude and unprofessional staff at the front desk that don’t seem to care. The check-out process is a hassle, they make you wait for room to be checked and they lack communication. I waited over an hour to be told that it was ok to leave. Only plus was the guy at the pool bar and girl doing the games by the pool. It’s a cheaper option that caters to mostly locals. Stay away from this place and spend your money elsewhere! I won’t ever stay here again.

Pleasant stay. The beach isn’t what it is on the south end of the boulevard and caters more to Mexican tourism. Definitely worth the reasonable price.

O quarto e a estrutura como um todo é muito boa. Limpeza bem feita, poderiam somente melhorar algumas opções no café da manhã. O estacionamento é gratuito e os carros ficam em frente, na rua. A localização é um ponto forte, proximo ao centro e a zona hoteleira.

I like the location; I can go anyplace I like. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Cleaning was excellent. Breakfast has many good choices. Overall, I will recommend this place.

Buena ubicación

I liked the location because there is the harbor, parks, and restaurants within walking distance. The staff was so friendly and the activities on site were very entertaining.

Clear and affordable for a fair price. Location is center to most tours. The beach is o not for swinging, you're better off going down the road. Its the coubtry inn of cancun.

Het hotel en de kamers zijn schoon en service gericht. Het personeel is heel vriendelijk, en het hotel is op een a1 locatie met restaurants om de hoek. Er is ook een veerpond op loopafstand van het hotel dat naar Isla Mujeres gaat met bounty witte stranden en lichtblauw helder water(echt een aanrader) Wij hadden niet all inclusive geboekt omdat wij graag lokale restaurantjes bezoeken. Enige probleempje dat ik heb gehad was dat ze mij in een kamer hadden gezet zonder zee zicht, terwijl ik een kamer had geboekt met zee zicht. Toen ik het bij de receptie had aangegeven verontschuldigen ze zich en gaven me nog steeds de kamer met zee zicht. Ik kan dit hotel zeker aanbevelen!

Menú muy poco variado

Listen to the other bad reviews and do not stay here… if you do, do not pay the all inclusive package. The food is horrendous, they had raw meatballs on the buffet that were nor hot or cold… The midday “snack” is watered down nachos, and the cheapest looking pizza I’ve ever seen, imagine worse than Totino’s frozen pizzas if you’re from the US. We basically ate salad there and had to get food other places.They say they will charge you if you use the mini fridge or kitchenette in the room, normally those are INCLUDED in a All-Inclusive package?? The towels they have are extremely rough and ripped up. The bathroom has no exhaust fan, once you shower it stays humid in the bathroom until the next day midday. If you have asthma or mold allergies I do not recommend this place, I had a very bad flare up in my 3 days stay. The service at the front counter was awful, Esther is a very rude. The breakfast waiters are also VERY RUDE. If you have CHILDREN, this place closes the pool at 8. If you plan to stay here and go to the beach all day there will be no time to enjoy the pool when you get back because they close it so early? The beach area they have is black and full of seaweed… The most disappointing part. The margaritas and pina coladas are also pretty bad, watered down and chunky ice. Beds are hard, they are also not a queen size my husband and I sleep comfortably in a queen size at home but here we slept separately because the beds are so small . Not a 4 star hotel.

At the front desk we were told to pay extra $300 because we are Americans. What? I had to call Expedia to figure it out but no luck as all phones are robots. Food is not good, limited, no fruits, no snacks. Will not recommend it.

Nice quiet hotel. Although it's big, there were hardly any people. Looks like these people have a day-pass to spend time with family. Most of the tourists were local. We really enjoyed the resort mostly to ourselves. Excellent service and hard work from the restaurant staff. The food is delicious, just limited choices. The wine was very good. Beach is loaded with thick seaweed, but luckily we found a nice seaweed free small area 5-10 minutes walk to the right. It's a beach belongs to Occidental hotel, however the beaches in Mexico are federal and anyone can go in the water. Just can not use their chairs. We didn't mind walking 5-10 minutes to another beach, although inconvenient, because you can't swim in Aquamarina's beach. Their pool were super hot too. Well it's 90-100 degrees outside. The staff was nice and friendly

If you want to experience a vacation in Mexico in a place that mostly cater to latin guests and therefore cater food wise more so to the latin tastebuds, then this is your place! They do have hamburgers, pizza and hotdogs too but who goes to Mexico to eat Hamburgers? Here we are talking fresh made corn tortillas, hand rolled and fried right infront of you, food that I have never tried before and everything was great, I stayed for one week with my 17 year old son who might not as adventurous with food as I am, but he ate well every day thanks to a buffet with a wide vierety morning and lunch and different themes every night. Staff are very nice, some limited in English but you are in Mexico, have fun and practice the Spanish you know and they will embrace you.Our room was nothing fancy, but it was clean, and it got cleaned everyday. Beach was nice, Pool are very clean and nice, gym small but clean and nice. My son and I enjoyed walking the shore line every morning. You will see some presence from the police but we just found that ensuring of safety. We did not venture out at night but enjoyed dinner and entertainment on the property every night. They have entertainment for kids and families throughout the day. A nice swim up bar with shade next to the kids pool. Towel service. The beach has a nice palm tree shaded area if you want to hide from the sun. For us this was a great experience and we will visit again.

The place was clean and the stuff was great!! The only thing I would love to see improvement will be a better food quality.
