Amazing stay! Everything was above expectations. The room was great. The Food was excellent. The app let us set up our dinner reservations we used to app to order food to our room, super convenient. The shows were very exciting such high energy from all the performers. Staff was very friendly, Claudia helped get us started. We had our first ever couples massage and facials (highlight of the trip) Veronica & Daisy did wonders. The pool view was excellent as well as the entertainment, Allan was fun and hyped the crowd. Filiberto at the pool made the best Paella. We will definitely stay again and highly recommend.

Amazing hotel, service, & food. We liked everything about this resort, and we highly recommend for couples looking for a all adults only resort. Everyone provided an excellent service, specially Ignacio swing up bar, Manual pool bar, Steven & Francisco at the Thai restaurant.

Smaller property which is nice if you dont like being around too many people. Food was great. Drinks were pretty good. Limited on top shelf liqour but had enough to satisfy me. Rooms are awesome especially the hot tub. Room service was a plus. The Thai restaurant was our favorite. Would be nice if they provided free transport to and from airport. Also to and from other resort that you get day passes to explore. Didn't like the fact we had to pay expensive taxi for that. Staff was always nice and friendly and helpful. Everything was extremely clean. Nice chill all inclusive resort. Only wish they had more bar options to hang out at night and a late night buffet. Overall expensive was nice.

As someone with OCD let me say, this place was clean, always attentive with members and non members . The attention to detail is amazing and all the pools were fun! Shout out to Jonathan, Jesus, Monica at the pool party for keeping it entertaining and doing yoga and pool Pilates for beginners! Silvio was our pool bartender and he was amazing! Jesus at Aurora was so knowledgeable about every dish! FYI the spa is awesome! Can’t wait for next vacation. Will definitely be going back!

The experience at Sun Palace was a pleasant surprise! Extremely welcoming reception. Excellent quality room. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Wonderful food. Very attentive, friendly and welcoming staff in all areas of the hotel. The butlers were very attentive and kind. Full gym and spa, truly a quality differential. Wonderful beach. Everything was charming. Unforgettable experience Weak points: They didn't give us a room upgrade or a late check out! They claimed high occupancy.a Benefit from VIP clients expedia.

Just returned from a wonderful week at Sun Palace and I am already counting down the time until I can go back. The resort was very clean and the property itself is well maintained. It is a bit smaller than other resorts I have been to. The breakfast buffet was one of the best I’ve had. There’s only 4 restaurants on site. Thai was our favorite followed by Fuego but overall the food was just okay. They have a good variety of liquor options however they don’t always display them so you have to ask for them. There is only one bar open at night. We happened to go on a busy week so we did have to wait a while to get a drink at night. The coffee shop could also use another person working especially during peak hours to avoid long wait times. Overall I highly recommend Sun Palace!

Nice clean property but limited lounging chairs by pool area. The pools are small and too crowded . Spa area is coed and crowded . Didn’t like that we have to make reservation for dining. I like the walk-in system better. This is an all inclusive resort, we shouldn’t have to be limited on where we can dined. Staffs are all wonderful and friendly. Rooms are well stocked with drinks and are always clean. The ocean views are spectacular and never noisy

My friends and i were sitting down at the pool area. There is only one waiter for the area near the quiet pool and above by the luxury area. So our drinks took forever. The pool area with the music there was absolutely not place to sit because all the other people who have places there get priority over people who vacationing. Not right!

Roach in our room. Limited food options, greasy, salty food. Left us bloated. Limited minibar snack options. No loungers on large balcony. Room service took 1 hour. Not a lot of activities at hotel… They are predators to new guests. They lie to get you to attend membership breakfast. Where the car salesman, get you drunk and sign you up for expensive vacation membership and refuse to let you out of the contract. Even when you try to cancel within allowable timeframe. Don’t fall for the money grabbing scam. The upgrade to Leblanc isn’t free, it’s built into your contract, if you try to cancel, that down payment is forfeited. The scam starts from the airport, just get your bags and walk straight out to your car service. None of those people in the passage way have your best interest in mind. They work for the vacation membership groups!

This was just what I needed - lounge chairs by the beach and the pools, cold drinks, and good food. I was at Sun Palace for 5 days before Christmas and had a great stay. My room was beautiful. Everything throughout the resort was spotless and attractive.

Great room, excellent service from the front desk to house cleaning. Drinks came quicky and were tasty. Wonderful warm service in all the dining facilities. Buffet breakfast was a great selection. We enjoyed the Trattoria the most and the pool side snacks. Spa was very pleasant but the massage certainly not the best I've ever had. Unless you're using resort credits i would skip that. Beach was clean and had excellent service as well. Nice balance between a mature crowd and some fun partiers. Convenient location to the airport. Decent food, not amazing but not terrible. The service and sunshine made up for it Bed very comfortable with nicely stocked bar and huge soaking tub and rain shower. I could hear the people walking above me and the toilet flushing early in the morning, ask for a high room if you're a light sleeper. We would recommend sun palace. Pedro, Alejandro, Javier, Jose, Jilet, Oscar... everyone was great. Thank you

First time staying in Cancun Hotel Zone. We had “basic” room and thought it was excellent. Liked that everything was in one building. Pools overlooking beach were amazing. Beach was clean but couldn’t get in water b/c of boulders and waves. Food was excellent at every restaraunt.

The property was very nice and elegant when you walk in and they greeted me with a flower. Check in was easy and same with check out. The room was amazing so beautiful and view was amazing. The bar was great and the pools great. Everything was perfect and this was our first here and we were in love.

The staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was spotless and the A/C kept it nice and cool all day and night! The activity at the party pool was Excellent! Jonathan and Pedro deserve a medal for entertaining us all day!! The food was better than any resort we’d ever stayed in Cancun. We’d definitely be back!!

Great stay. A few items did fall short. Our room was not ready upon arrival (after 3pm) and we received 2 full beds vs the king we had reserved. The room was ready around 4:30

We enjoyed our stay, but we will not go back to this resort. What we didn't like: 1. It was impossible to sleep in, due to noise: you hear it a lot when room service moves around furniture to clean the rooms, and they start from 8 am in the morning. You hear it more when it's a room close to you (like a vibration alarm), less when they start further away. We woke up involuntary because of room cleaning every single day. 2. Unless you go to have dinner at 6 pm or 9:30 pm, you won't get a table in the restaurants because they are above capacity. If you go anywhere at 7 pm, they'll tell you that you will have to wait at least one hour to get a table, or get room service (i.e. burgers) instead. Unfortunately, you also cannot make reservations for the restaurants, so your best bet is to eat at 6 pm or very late in the evening. We really liked the food, the hotel stuff was really friendly, the pools were nice, the rooms were well maintained and clean. However for this kind of price, we would like to have a quiet hotel room, and would like to have dinner on our schedule.
We enjoyed our stay, but we will not go back to this resort. What we didn't like: 1. It was impossible to sleep in, due to noise: you hear it a lot when room service moves around furniture to clean the rooms, and they start from 8 am in the morning. You hear it more when it's a room close to you (like a vibration alarm), less when they start further away. We woke up involuntary because of room cleaning every single day. 2. Unless you go to have dinner at 6 pm or 9:30 pm, you won't get a table in the restaurants because they are above capacity. If you go anywhere at 7 pm, they'll tell you that you will have to wait at least one hour to get a table, or get room service (i.e. burgers) instead. Unfortunately, you also cannot make reservations for the restaurants, so your best bet is to eat at 6 pm or very late in the evening. We really liked the food, the hotel stuff was really friendly, the pools were nice, the rooms were well maintained and clean. However for this kind of price, we would like to have a quiet hotel room, and would like to have dinner on our schedule.

So recommendation: have a dehumidifier or install a ventilation system above the Jacuzzi. Other than that it was an amazing experience. Will definitely come back but will book a room with the Jacuzzi outside.

As a VIP Expedia member we received an upgraded room to an ocean front honeymoon suite. The room was a super large with a big jacuzzi tub. We also received an extended checkout time until 2pm. Be aware the $120.00 resort credit is a bit of a scam. The food was excellent in all 4 restaurants, but if you are here for a week, with only 4 restaurants, you'll be going back twice to some..we didn't mind, but if someone is here for longer than a week, it might be an issue. The beach is fabulous; clean, white sand and fun waves to play in. If you walk down to the south end of the beach there is a little cove where you can snorkel. The resort has three pools. The best pool is reserved for the Palace Diamond members, the pool next to it is in the shade for most of the day. The third pool, the largest is the activities pool, which is loud and has limited seating. We spent our time on the beach which we loved, but if you are a pool person, this resort might not be your best choice. The staff and service were all excellent. Overall a nice experience.

The best thing about Sun palace is the wait staff and bartenders, They were fantastic! The resort was clean. Food was ok. The bad part is the front desk agents are super pushy and use super pushy sales tactics to try and get you to go and try other resorts and book things. We got there and was sat down and hammered on going to a 90 minute thing. They even went so far as to call our room to remind about that, rather then checking on our stay. One lady said we had to bring each of our IDs and credit cards. It was overbearing and because of that we won’t go back. It’s sad, because we had such a great time with the waitstaff and how friendly and informative they were.

The room was very clean and cleaned everyday. All the staff were exceptional The beach staff who brought drinks and food were exceptional very thoughtful. From the lifeguards to each server, coming to the beach we knew we would be taken care of. Sweet and Coffee has some of the best staff each and everytime we came there the sated has a smile on their face and was willing to make the drink we wanted. Able from Trattoria was an amazing server he served us 2 times and was always pleasant to talk to -Francisco from Thai was a pleasant server always kind and at service there was never a dirty plate at our table. -Adrian from Trattoria was a very sweet server he asked about our stay and found out it was our honeymoon then made us a special dessert with our names and a heart, made our dinner that bit more special. -Brenda from front desk was always willing to help and answer any questions if we had any. I cannot say enough about this resort. My wife and I just spent a week here and we did NOT want to leave. Everyone from the wait staff, bartenders and entertainers was phenomenal top notch service. Shout out to Johnathon and his crew for making our pool days and evenings exciting and welcoming. You guys are amazing and deserve a raise! Miguel and his crew at The Bar were so attentive and had our drink orders memorized by the second day. It was our anniversary and my wife’s birthday and cleaning service brought up champagne and cute cards saying happy birthday and happy anniversary. They even brought balloons into the room on her birthday. The room service always kept the mini fridge stocked with beers, water, and soda and the room was always tidy when we returned from the pool in the evening. Room service was always prompt. No longer than 30minutes. Even when we were placing wild drunk orders at 2am. The waiters were also very aware and cautious with my wife’s food allergies. I cannot say enough good about the wait staff. They even had nesting sea turtles every night on the beach around midnight. We would bring our drinks out on the beach and watch the turtles burrow and lay their eggs. Overall wonderful experience and cannot wait to return in the near future. The property itself is on a beach that is almost unwalkable throughout most of the day. That was a disappointment. The food was above average, if not excellent, at some of the restaurants. In particular, the Italian restaurant with our server, Aron, was superb. (However the check-in process with the hostess was ridiculous. The only restaurant where you had to wait 15 minutes to be told there was a 30-minute wait.) Fuego restaurant is excellent as is the Thai. The mexican dinner was awful with a very limited menu. The breakfast buffet was good, not great, but Mario made the experience feel special! Upon arrival and after check-in, the tour desk (which is really the timeshare-like membership sales staff) approached us. We did not know this property had a "caste system" with the different color wristbands telling the staff if you were high enough to get their service. If you had a black wristband on, you were given all access and the best seats for dining. The timeshare conversation became pushy and the woman would not stop. I finally got up and walked away. It was just after we arrived and she was disrespectful of what we said. Be sure to read the fine line - they say $299 is the price but the fine print says you have to pay the additional $$ to get the discounted rate if you do a membership. Daniel on the beach was OUTSTANDING and every day he made sure we were happy with our chairs and umbrella\'s. I you want sun all day, this is not the hotel for you.

You did feel safe. It is not walkable to anywhere, but we did feel safe going on our morning walks. Dining options are limited and food was only average. Italian restaurant on site was awful. Wound up eating room service that night as nothing they served was eatable. Other restaurants were okay, but not world class (as advertised) by any means. Fun place, lovely beach.

Anytime we asked for help, they told us to “contact Expedia.” Only one restaurant was open during the day, and it was terrible—bad food, almost no variety. The Italian restaurant(only dinner) was the only decent option, but you’re only allowed to reserve it once. After that, you're stuck with room service, which was sadly the best food we had. We had reliable transportation arranged (as we’ve done on dozens of Mexico trips), but the resort refused to assist us and told us to leave the area—just because we didn’t book directly with them. Don’t expect a beach: it's rocky, steep, and completely unusable. The two pools are small, and there’s zero entertainment or atmosphere. It was boring and disappointing from start to finish. Most guests had different wristbands, while ours had the Expedia logo—clearly marking us as low-priority. We understand tiered pricing, but this level of exclusion and poor service was unacceptable. After visiting Cancun, Playa del Carmen, Cozumel, Tulum, and Isla Mujeres over the years, this was by far the worst resort we’ve experienced. We’ve already warned friends and family—don’t waste your money here.

We did a quick 3 night weekender. Checked in friday mid-day and went to Fuego first night. Wife woke up with projectile vomiting and it lasted 20 hours. Doctor came (at our expense) and determined the obvious. Food poisoning. Even after front desk summoned the Dr. no one checked on us, offered any help, nothing. We just had to wait around in our room for our ground transportation to show up, which never did. So we had to hire a taxi. However the sales pitch people called our room over and over. We have been on many trips but I wouldn't go back to this place for free. Pick another place, there are many nice ones.

We absolutely loved our stay! The hotel is fabulous and the staff are incredibly kind and helpful. We loved our server Abel at the Italian restaurant! All the restaurants are delicious and we are foodies ❤️ it is such a relaxing hotel. The infinity pool looks over the ocean. We loved the sound of the waves from our room. We have already booked another visit for March!

Thr marketing team has you sit and go over their point system for future stays. Not what we wanted to do after traveling. Request that this be done after you settle in. Make sure you understand the the airport transfers as it's a separate reservation that needs to be made prior to your travel. The transfers are free only if you stay four or more days and book your stay on the Sun Palace website.

My wife and I contracted Salmonella at the Sun Palace in July 2023 that lasted over a week. Halfway through our six night stay at the hotel we became seriously ill with stomach cramping and chronic diarrhea. The sickness was overwhelming and ruined the last three days of our trip. When we returned home we continued to experience the effects of the food poisoning for five more days and then were diagnosed by our doctor with Salmonella and given a strong antibiotic to remedy the food poisoning. Since then I have been emailing Palace Resorts and providing the medical documentation they requested to verify the food poisoning. My wife and I have been loyal customers of the Palace Resorts and we expected a resolution to our complaint and a refund for our stay at the Sun Palace in July of 2023. After providing all the requested information to Palace Resorts they now have resorted to ignoring our emails and phone calls. We contracted this serious illness because of improper preparation or negligent handling of the food by the hotel staff. It's bad enough that we contracted Salmonella at the resort, but then to have our complaint ignored for over three months adds to the frustration. I would not return to any Palace Resort and I would encourage others to stay away from the Sun Palace, unless you want to get deathly sick and then have the Palace Resorts Customer Service team ignore you and not take responsibility for the serious illness they caused.

We loved Sun Palace, they offer several pools, great atmosphere, nice spa, great resturants, we liked the Thai a lot. I'd recommend it for a nice get away.
