The California - Kings Cross St Pancras, London

We book a superior double and it was nothing like the pictures advertised. The room had a weird shape- double bed squeezed into an alcove & a single bed. A rack for hanging clothes and a table & chair. No carpets. You had to step over the bin between the bath and wall to get to the toilet. Definitely not superior, it made the Travelodge look luxurious. It was clean & convenient so one night was ok.

Probably the smallest room I've ever stayed in . . . in my life. Location next to the train station was my only motivation. I had to step over my suitcase to get into bed. I can do anything for one night. It worked for what I wanted.

Very helpful staff. Needed an adapter for my phone and they were there to help.

Our only issue was the room was a little small but this one comparison represents the normal state of room sizes in London. Staff and everything else was perfect. Would stay again

Room underground with dirt on sheets, no curtains and hence waking up at 6am because of that. Unpleasant night staff, acting condescendant and not friendly at all. If discounts are provided for underground rooms, specify it when we book !
