Positives were - good location, nice surroundings by the harbour, bar and restaurant space were nice. Negatives - I booked a family room with cot and asked for a cot on the booking. I also called two days prior and requested confirmation of the cot. Arrived at the hotel to no cot and queried it at reception. Had not arrived by babies bedtime so asked for it the next morning before her nap. Did not arrive for the second night again. Partner who had just done the London marathon slept on the uneven sofa bed. Broken toilet that was not flushing was to be fixed by maintenance - again did not arrive. Dated in areas such as the access to the spa and those facilities. Poorly maintained - broken lift, no alternative directions given. No water for the sauna and no staff around to support - I used four cups to get to 60 degrees. One shower out of order, another cold water. Two water dispensers in the changing area - neither had water. Overall disappointed with the services and finish of the property.

Although the hotel was nice, the staff were shocking, i parked my car at the hotel for £85 per night, on arrival they took £170 out of my account for 2 nights parking, and also extra for a romantic package i bought, the second day another £170 went out of my account, when questioned they said it was £100 a night they placed as holding on my card, but that worked out at £200 not £170. I quiestioned 2 members of reception who both gave different reasons as to why the payment went out, with one of them trying to cover up what had happenend and the other openly saying they shouldn't have taken the payment twice, it was a mistake, and it wouldn't go back on my account for 3 days. I asked to speak to management and the receptionsist spoke to the manager on the phone, who then told the receptionsist to tell me they were too busy to see me!! I wont be staying here again, much better staff at other hotels in this area.
