Building work on the mezzanine floor. I was surprised to still be hearing drilling late at night.

Bar staff add on 7.5 per cent for pulling a pint. Also bar closes at 10.30. It only stays open for residents who have paid a 50 pounds deposit for extras. I did not do that as I like to pay as I go. Even as a resident they would not take my order and pay by card or cash. I won’t be staying again.

Staying prior to our cruise. My rating is based on the restaurant who really destroyed our stay. The service was horrible. Took forever to get served dinner and this morning we sat for 15 mins then we left. No one even approached our table when after telling the waiter we were ordering off the menu. The front desk people were great and the housekeeper dos a great job.

Amazing service from all staff, nothing is too much trouble! Twin single room very comfortable fresh clean bedding, huge tv, good size fridge, tea/coffee, iron and board, fresh bottled water every day, lifts never too busy, excellent service on concierge and reception, great for disabled access. Restaurant good but if there was a little more range of wholesome English food on menu, would be great.

Great location being right next to Victoria station. The hop on hop off bus picks up and drops off at the station. Easy to get to most laces in London by transit or taxi. The hotel is very nice inside. Having a bar and restaurant on site is a plus.

First time stay in London so chose this hotel bcoz of proximity to Victoria station. Hotel was under renovation, so the main lobby isn’t convenient. A bit of a bad smell outside elevators. Rooms are too small for 3 or more guests even tho u pay for 3. Staff were awesome and very very helpful. I’d only return to this hotel bcoz of the staff if I had to. Thx Ali!

The staff were very pleasant, kind and helpful. I loved that they offered the service to keep your luggage before check-in time and also after check-out. That was really convenient. The location is great as it's 3 minutes from the Victoria Station and also walking distance to restaurants. The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. Easy check-in & check-out process. Overall a great place to stay in London.

We were there for a funeral of a family member. At 9am construction crew started using jackhammers to break up concrete directly outside my first floor window. It was so incredibly loud that we had to get ready early and leave. When I talked to the front desk I was quite rudely told that they are allowed to do construction within certain hours of the day. My point really was that we were NOT informed or warned that this was the case when we booked the hotel OR when we checked in. This is unacceptable as far as I’m concerned for a Hilton and for the price I paid to stay in this hotel. When I pushed further the front desk continued to be unhelpful. I have a video of the noise and it shows the proximity of the construction to the hotel room window….DIRECTLY outside the window. I plan to persue this further and am thoroughly disappointed with the stay at this hotel and with the way the staff handled my complaint. As stated, I was there for a funeral with my elderly and handicapped mother and we couldn’t even stay in the room to get ready for the funeral before our check out time because the noise level was so uncomfortable. I will never recommend this hotel to anyone and feel strongly about the price I paid to stay for this kind of negative experience.

My stay was made disappointing due to renovations. There should have been a large discount instead of a substantial increase from the price I paid a year ago.

The Double Tree Hilton is a great location to get around with all sorts of transport very close by. It is walkable to a number of shops too. Our hotel room was small and the cleanliness of our room poor due to hairs found particularly in the bathroom. The maintenance of our room was below par, due to large black marks on one wall and the air conditioning panels hadn’t been cleaned in a while.

Staff friendly, beds and pillows very hard neither of us slept well. The grouting in the shower around the tiles was very black need cleaning but the shower was hot and powerful.

Check in was a pain as they said I hadn’t booked and took 20mins to sort it. Bathroom was so mouldy you could smell it when you walked into the room. Noise from railway is bad and goes on throughout the night. You can hear the underground as well and looking over the waste management site for the railway wasn’t great. Room was tatty and beds were very uncomfortable. Breakfast was great and staff were polite. Won’t be returning at this price.

Very small rooms. Sink was plugged and they asked to wait for the morning to have someone come up and repair. Blood on Duvet from previous guests and we asked them to change when they serviced room. They did not change it and were bothered when we asked them to come back and change. They left an opened and slightly used water bottle from previous guests as one of the water bottles for us to use.

My room was right by the train tracks and was a filthy mess! So many stains on the wall, tea kettle, sink faucet and floor. The bed had hair and stains on it. I wouldn’t be surprised if house keeping never changed the bedding from the last guest! There was someone else’s food STILL in the fridge! Five minutes after I got to the room, the receptionist called to ask me was I OK with the room. When I explained to her, I didn’t know I was going to be next to the train tracks and that its a lot of noise outside PLUS the room didn’t seem very clean. The receptionist said she would speak to her manager. She called back two minutes later saying they have no control of the trains and that it typically stops running around 9 PM. What was the point of her asking how I feel about the room if she’s not gonna give any solutions!? The manager could’ve easily asked if I wanted to change rooms further away from the train tracks. But she didn’t because they truly don’t care and it’s just their policy to ask. The next day I woke up with an insect on my pillow right by my head! I left for the day for 10 hours and when I came back, my room wasn’t cleaned. I had to go downstairs and let the receptionist know that no one cleaned my room and I needed fresh towels. The day before check out, I got a call from the receptionist asking how my stay was. I didn’t even waste my time explaining it because I know they weren’t going to do anything about it. I just decided to make my notes to post online.

Everything was as it should be for a four star hotel and in a great location just behind Victoria Station. Lovely room, very clean and comfortable. The staff were all professional, efficient, and friendly. I would definitely stay here again.

This hotel was just in the right location - and VERY handy for us to get to a train at Victoria in the early hours of Saturday. Check in was efficient and the staff were friendly. The room was comfortable ... but the view was dreadful! All we could see was the back of some air conditioning units! We did not use the refreshment faciltities but the menu looked very good.

For a 3-person family room, this room was a little short on space. We didn't have enough space to open our suitcases easily without tripping on them.

When we first entered the front desk was under construction with no direction as to how to complete check in. Wandered to the front desk and waited, someone finally came out from a back office. The air conditioner in our room didn’t work, when we asked them to look at it, it was clear two maintenance men went into our room but did not fix it or give any answers as to why they did not fix it. The thermostat was sent to 33C (91F). No matter how many times we lowered the temp, it did not cool down and just reset itself back to 33c. We basically slept in a sauna for two days.

Make sure the air conditioning is working It wasn’t when we stayed and the room remained unbearably at 25 degrees all through the sleepless night and all they offered was a free breakfast so will be asking for a full refund or chargeback

We had no air conditioning. The front desk said we needed to change rooms. After (we) moved all of our luggage to a new room, our second room also had no AC. The next day, we learned (from a maintenance man in the hallway) that the AC had gone down for the entire hotel. The front desk staff would not admit the problem or make any adjustments for our inconvenience. The hotel also seems to have IT issues. On checkout, they could not print a summary of our charges. They had to go to the dining room and individually print receipts for each day. Overall, I would say this property is not up to Doubletree standards.

the property and stafd were lovely. only issue i noticed was the lower the floor is on the building, the louder you can hear the train tracks as you are next to the victoria station. otherwise is great walking diatance to everything

I have stayed at many Hilton’s and must say that this was very disappointing, I would advise that you do not stay in room 321 as the noise from traffic was appalling. I am a heavy sleeper and it still managed to wake me up ! Other wise the room was ok. The manager didn’t show any real sympathy at all when I advised on the windows not sealing out any of the noise they may as well of been open, it was like being at formula 1 and simply said perhaps next time you stay we will put you on a higher floor. Very disappointing 🙁

Had a very bad night sleep - room right by lifts and was very noisy from foot traffic and the noises outside. Room got very warm too. Disappointed with the room for the price

I was staying here for one night whilst on business, the fire alarm went off just before 6am and then again 15minutes later but when I asked reception what happened and if we needed to evacuate the woman laughed. I then went back up to my room and had a shower when I got out the whole bathroom was flooded and under a decent wedge of water. I walk with a stick so was a total liability trying to get out of the bathroom. I rang reception who sent maintenance a hour later but by the time it was sorted it was 9am and I had to leave - honestly reception were terrible when I raised it on checkout. Could not have been less interested in hearing it and purely said ‘if it was fixed like you asked what’s the issue’. I struggle to understand if the shower had been cleaned how the flooding didn’t happen then. The rooms are great, the hotel is great but the reception staff are awful. Every time I’ve stayed here there has been something wrong, last time it was my husband and I arriving separately and not being able to issue separate keys that worked so as soon as he checked in mine no longer worked and I got stuck in the lift unable to get to my floor without a working card. All a bit shoddy to be honest and a lack of interest is more annoying than a lack of care!

Lovely hotel and very convenient for transportation hub. Staff were great especially Oscar in the restaurant, he was very professional, friendly and a real pleasure to talk to. We will definitely stay here again!

We stayed over after a cruise and it was great. The staff from the front desk to the restaurant were so efficient and friendly. The 2 concierges we interacted with gave us wonderful restaurant references and ideas for what to see in London in a day and made reservations for the hop on hop off bus and arranged for transportation to the airport on the day we left.Warm cookies were a nice touch.

Slow check in process

We had a great stay at this DoubleTree during our quick London trip! Staff was welcoming and helpful and our stay was quiet and relaxing! We wanted to be near the London Victoria station and it was the perfect spot!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff were very warm, friendly and helpful. The team at the restaurant was amazing. The location of this hotel was ideal as it was very close to the train station and getting around was very easy. I would recommend staying here.

Front desk in the three days we were there not once was available to answer their phones at all, day or night. Had to go down to the desk to request what we needed and actually knock on the desk to get assistance. When we let them know, we were told we weren't the only guest in the hotel, funny! My husband is a General Lodging Manager and has been in the hospitality industry for 41 yrs. You don't make excuses!!! No microwaves in the rooms not even the suites. very inconvenient. Kitchen staff was wonderful! Checkin was very friendly and concierge very nice.

Average stay for the price of accommodation in the area. Beds are very hard and uncomfortable. Housekeeping was a hit or miss. Went 3 days and they didnt stop in at all to make up rooms and replace items even though we were out all day and requested service. Fire alarm went off as false alarm twice during 5 night stay. Once in middle of night and second time very early morning before dawn. Staff did not communicate that these were false alarms. I suspect this happens a lot. Overall average stay albeit a convenient location with lots of amenities close by, ive stayed in better hotels in the area. Will most likely stay elsewhere when i visit area again.

I lived in this area of London when the hotel was being built. It's a great addition to the area with rooms the right size, good amenities and close to everything. The staff were wonderful. We actually liked the view of the Victoria Station Yards, too.

The staff here are super helpful and friendly. We enjoyed the 5 nights we spent here after Christmas into the new year. Breakfast was excellent. My 11 yr old son and I were sad to leave. Beds were so comfoetable especially after being jet lagged after 10 hr flight. Lastly the shower was amazing had great pressure and water was always hot.

Overall, very nice. We stayed twice in one trip (before and after we went to Scotland). Would stay again. Very convenient to Victoria station. Safe area. Rooms are standard size for London but nice. Only true negative is restaurant/room service prices. Quite outrageous. Just get your breakfast/food elsewhere, and otherwise it’s great.

Breakfast room had been moved due to renovations and food was poor, fried eggs could have been cooked a day before. Double bed in room by a wall and the most uncomfortable have ever slept on. Reception staff ignore you when you walk in. Have stayed there on many occasions but maybe time to try elsewhere.

Very good location for visiting London accross the road from Victoria station and underground. Excellent rail link to Gatwick. Breakfast was adequate with just enough variety to satisfy most people. They ran out of strawberry jam for 3 days and marmalade for 1 day which seemed odd. The room again was adequate but nothing special.
