Our stay was ok to a point. The room was nice but the bathroom had definitely seen better days. The restaurant was great and the staff were extremely helpful and polite. Sadly not the same experience with other staff. We were given one toilet roll for the stay and when we ran out and asked for another we were told it would be sent soon. An hour later it still had not arrived. When we checked out we mentioned this and were told that housekeeping did nit start until 8am. Fine except they hadn't responded by 8.50. Also there was no information in the room on items in there and whether they were chargeable items. For a Hilton hotel the customer service and welcome were very sadly lacking and while our stay was ok we left quite underwhelmed and probably won't go back to this hotel.

We got to a bumpy start with Andre at the check-in desk. He could have been more polite in informing us that the check in starts at 1500 (we got to the hotel at 1054). My parents are in their 80's and dad finds it difficult to walk for long periods. We went out for lunch and came back at 1600. We were greeted by Alan at the front desk and he made us forget the unsavory experience with Andre, earlier. Alan quickly checked us in and we settled into our rooms. I noted that the toilet could do with a proper cleaning. This was immediately actioned by Vincenzo, who had the housekeeping team do a through deep clean of bot our rooms. The breakfast was good and the restaurant staff were all very courteous. Having been to Hilton properties in the Middle East, I find the Hilton properties in the UK lacking overall - be it the rooms, the amenities or the food selection. That said, A 'not bad' experience.
