Overall stay at Bailey’s was very lovely and cozy in nature. The hotel bar is beautiful and a great gathering place for friends, and the cocktails were fabulous! A few minor negatives were that the temperature in our room was quite warm no matter how we tried to control the thermostat and the bathtub side height and narrow nature was quite difficult to comfortably use. However, the heated towel rack, bed comfort, and other amenities far outweighed these minor items. Very pleasant staff and location to Gloucester station was absolute key for us! One added bonus for us after a day of touring the city was to come back to the lobby decorated for Christmas and looking absolutely stunning!

We had a wonderful stay at The Baileys Hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful, room was beautiful, and we enjoyed the Afternoon Tea. If I had one complaint it would be the shower. Since I have had both knees replaced recently I struggled with getting in and out of it. But that is truly my only complaint. It was a lovely hotel.

From check-in to check-out, I can say I was extremely satisfied with The Bailey’s Hotel. The staff are friendly and attentive to one’s needs, the hotel is very well-kept with numerous amenities. The gym is not substantial, but a nice-to-have for those looking to stay active during their stay. The restaurant and bar within the hotel are very nice too, with great food. Daily housekeeping keeps the room stocked with complimentary waters and Nespresso pods. The Bailey’s Hotel is a wonderful place to stay in London, and is very close to the Tube for easy transit around the city. I’ll gladly be back the next time I’m in London!

Very nice stay, spacious rooms (for London!), helpful concierge/doormen and good vegetarian room service menu! The only minor comment I'd make to the Room Staff would be to consider what's been used by guests ... and please replenish exactly that! ... so since my wife is a big coffee drinker, then notice that the coffee pods have been consumed and add a couple of replacements ... My new favorite hotel for this area of London. The Bailey's was a really pleasant surprise. Very nice, upscale feeling but at an affordable price (at least in January). - Pleasant, helpful staff - very clean, quite large and comfortable rooms (more U.S. size than typical European size rooms as a reference) - a nice bar and restaurant - a small but decent enough exercise room - neighborhood with with a ton of pubs and restaurants, grocery and convenience stores, etc. surrounding the hotel - super convenient to be right across the street from the tube, so easy to get around the city I'll definitely go back the next time I need to stay in this part of London.

The hotel is beautiful, wonderfully clean both the rooms and the hotel in general. The bar is such a lovely place to reminisce about the days events. The small details water in the room replenished daily also the tea tray. Mirrors with great light, sockets were they need to be air conditioning. The staff were polite and attentive. I can’t wait to go back.

Great location, friendly staff, comfortable bed. My bedroom was small and poorly lit. The light over the dressing table/desk flickered on and off and was impossible to use. The bath/shower was very poorly designed. The rain shower head was too close to the narrow end of the bath - which was so narrow that I had to stand with one foot behind the other to get under the shower. The bath was slippery and the grab handle was definitely needed. The carpet and curtains seemed grubby. The safe was on the floor of the clothes closet and required you to get on your hands and knees, or even lying down, to get at it to set the pass code. All in all, not a great experience.

Rooms are spotless and good looking, and fresh towels everyday. I was in a small single room and I wish there were a small side table or shelf next the bed. In the bathroom a shelf for toiletries would have been helpful as well as a hook for used towels.

Property lovely. Clean bathrooms. Fresh bed linens. Did have to call for coffee pods 4 days of the 7 day stay. Also had to call for bath towels. These items were not left by the daily room attendant. The staff that brought the requested items were very gracious and apologetic. I would stay there again.

Booked King Size bed in a quiet situation and not in front of the elevators. I got a room with so much noise from the machinery in the inner yard that I had to change room in the evening. I then, after a lot of hassle, was given a very small room with a Queen Size bed, in front of the elevators! The room was so small that I have big blue marks after walking into the furniture. When looking at the map of the rooms sizes and pictures of the rooms on the Hotels own homepage i discovered that the descriptions and pictures of the rooms are not accurate with reality. The hotel was not at all fully booked and I was not offered any compensation.

The lobby and restaurant are gorgeous, but the rooms aren't nearly as fancy. My room was perfectly nice, but I don't think it matched the price or how ostentatious the rest of the hotel was. It was a solid 3 star hotel room, clean and comfortable with all the amenities, though was a bit dark because there's no overhead light and the window didn't let in much natural light (it was blocked by the opposing wall of the hotel). The location was hard to beat though, right next to a tube station, near the V&A and the natural history museum, in a beautiful area full of lots of restaurants and parks.

I was using 2 different rooms. First one was nice. But 2nd room was so bad. My room might be near the metro station. The noise from train couldn't get me sleep. If you stay there, you have to ask the receptionist where your room is.

While making a reservation, we chose the double bed room over the king bed room option as most our vacation with my daughter would be spent outside the hotel. However, upon seeing our room, we could not believe our eyes. The ultra small room had no walking space once we opened our suitcase on the floor. The room had a window that the back and did not open, and against the wall was a 4ft wide and 6ft 3 inches long (120cm wide and 190cm long) even though the room was marketed as 'double' occupancy. Even more surprisingly, despite the wall-mounted bed headboard being 140 centimeters, a 120 centimeter bed was placed inside, which was quite perplexing. It is not fair to expect two adults to sleep on a 120 by 190 bed when the headboard is 140 centimeters. In researching other applications and websites, I learned that when guests requested a larger bed under the same conditions, the only option offered was to upgrade to a larger room for an additional fee, which I concluded was a marketing strategy. Over the 3 nights we stayed, we tried to alternate sleeping at the head and foot end of the bed, but we couldn't sleep well, and just when we were able to fall asleep, we were awakened by the person at the wall needing to go to the bathroom. While the breakfast was enjoyable, the debacle we experienced in the room made our holiday very unpleasant.

We didn’t like it because the rooms are incredibly small, dark and old. We didn’t have natural light because our window was facing a brick walk. No windows open . Bed too small for 2 persons. Bathroom floor , uneven. Pipes make terrible knocking noises when you showered. Staff outside the room makes a lot of noise when they cleaned the halls, other rooms. Wouldn’t return.

The room was very small making it difficult for 2 people to easily move around. The shower is the smallest I’ve been in. However, the location of the hotel is excellent as the South Kensington area is so safe. Walked to the museums and lots of good restaurants in the area.

The bed was comfortable if a little on the small side, but that was built in the price. If you call yourself a green hotel having a large overhead shower is surely a very heavy use of water. Also pumping out air conditioning when windows could be opened is also very bad for the environment!! But it seemed to be impossible to open the windows!!

Great location. Kettle and tea provided which was appreciated. Single room was very small but adequate- had everything I needed. Air conditioning was hard to control - was on the whole time and quite noisy. I thought I was getting a walk-in shower but it was a bath with shower which proved to be quite a challenge - a rubber mat would have helped as the bathtub was very slippery and made exiting dangerous.

mostly nice staff at the reception, some were definitely more helpful than others. Clean and tidy, smaller room than expected but definitely worth the money. Excellent location. If anything could be better, the mattresses and pillows could use an upgrade. Very hard bed and flat pillows.

The Concierge service was horrible. They were curt, aggorant, and condescending. The staff was unhelpful in presenting printed out receipts at the closer of our stay. We only had breakfast there, and it was questionable both regarding the food but especially the service. My wife and I were overlooked for coffee and had to wait several minutes before I brought it to the attention of the servers that we had not been given any coffee when several had entered after us and were served. It was this experience that made us decide to eat elsewhere. It was not a positive memorable experience!

We loved your hotel being in a safe area and with great transport systems nearby. Check in was not great. Your computer system was not working and it took 4 of your people figuring this out behind the counter before one looked us (the customer) in the eye to say sorry for the delay. Handing me a drinks voucher does not instill confidence that our room was reserved and waiting for us. Zero communication and zero eye contact for 5 minutes was not what you want after flying in from the US. I must say after that our stay was great.

The staff were fantastic. Paul the restaurant’s server who served us Afternoon High Tea was super. He was engaging and was interested in how we were enjoying our stay. The concierge Magic was superb. Enthusiastic, honest and full of great recommendations and suggestions. To me he was a perfect 10. 🇬🇧💂His colleague Nik was extremely helpful and very knowledgeable. My wife and I first visit to London. Hotel, city, and all we did exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend the Baileys hotel. Steps from the underground tube. Great vacation. Thank you for a highly enjoyable trip!

The welcome from the lady checking me in was non existent. There was no greeting or welcome and the manager did not respond to my check in feedback survey in regards to this. The saving grace is that the location is excellent, literally steps from the station, however the surrounding area is filthy and the rooms are bare bones minimal. If you just want the very basics and easy access to Central London this would probably work for you, but if you’re wanting excellence in service or a comfortable room look elsewhere.

So my girlfriend was traveling from US to visit me. I booked the hotel. Heathrow airport shut down so mid flight ✈️ they turned back to the US. This is early hours of Friday morning, I call the hotel at 5am exposing the situation, First Lady very nice and said call at 9am, so I did, spoke to the reservations manger, Clementine Manzo, and said can I get a refund due to the exceptional circumstances, flat out NO! Even then said to me “put yourself in my position I have to stick to policy” I couldn’t believe what I was hearing!!! I said well just give me a credit and I will stay another time, answer NO! So rude and had no empathy what so ever to the very stressful time that myself and my partner were going though…terrible on so many levels!!!!

Great hotel with a tube station across the street and lots of restaurants nearby. The concierge desk was kind enough to let us use their wheelchair all week for my dad which made things so much easier. Thank you for a great stay!

This is the best location imaginable. After a long day of walking around London, it is incredible to step out of the Gloucester Road tube and walk just a few yards to the hotel. The lobby is small, but cheerful and pleasant.

A very cozy and charming hotel – clean and nicely decorated rooms. The breakfast was okay but could be improved a bit. Some of the staff were extremely friendly and service-minded, while others not quite as much. The location is great, in a lovely and pleasant area. Overall, I would recommend staying here!

Well presented comfortable hotel. Excellent food in the Bugis restaurant and great cocktails in the Bailey’s Bar. Rooms air conditioned and well equipped, heated towel rail a nice addition. My only negative is that the bar is under resourced, it popular and the staff work very hard but frequently absent making coffee and teas in the kitchen or sorting out afternoon teas which I thought could have been done by the restaurant staff.

From the moment we checked in to the moment we checked out the staff were so lovely and helpful and friendly. We were upgraded for a birthday treat and the room was a suite and was absolutely beautiful. The hotel is stunning and the breakfast was really lovely. Amazing staff and amazing holtel, loved it.

The Hotel was fantastic and the staff were really helpful. It's in a great central location, perfect for visiting the Natural History Museum. It is also next to Gloucester Road tube station. We parked in the Millennium Hotel next door which was had preferential parking rates for Bailey Hotel customers. The only negative point I can think of was that the buffet breakfast was a bit ropey: but there are so many other places to eat nearby that didn't bother us too much.

The Bailey is a grand Victorian hotel that has been nicely refurbished. It’s right at the Gloucester Road tube station. Good amenities in the room including an espresso maker, upscale toiletries. The furnishings include a comfortable bed, ample desk space, and well made chairs. The weakest link for me is the food in the in house restaurant. There are many restaurants nearby. I would have been more satisfied having a meal elsewhere. The hotel breakfast was also nothing to write home about. Lots of over cooked eggs, breakfast meats and unimaginative breads. But there is variety in the breakfast buffet. I may have made bad choices.
