Lovely staff and service. They are doing a good job changing th e persona of the hotel environment especially in the Mayfair Bar where over the past 20 years has been a club at nights and has made it a much more social and comfortable environment even at night while keeping it hip but not trashy .

All good, stayed many times - lots of pluses- location/staff lobby / bar etc - definitely rooms need an upgrade and disappointing to see bar still closed on a Sunday - gives poor impression- chairs on tables - not sure of any other 5 star that closes its bar offering on a weekend day.

I arrived into Heathrow airport and this hotel is so incredibly convenient, located a minute’s walk from Green Park, a straight shot from the airport. I’d taken a red eye from the US so it was amazing to have an unexpected early check in to recuperate. Lots of staff, very attentive and friendly. A beautiful bar & restaurant. Highly recommend this lovely hotel.

Great stay , staff are very attentive , a free drinks voucher was issued to us when we checked in for the hotel bar which was a nice touch . Easy walking access for our night out in Covent Garden & the valet parking was a bonus as parking can be tricky .

Elegant property tucked into the ultimate spot for walking to high-end shops and countless dining options. My Studio suite was spacious but a bit bland. Best part of our stay was the excellent Concierge services which we took full advantage of and were so happy with. The only drawback was the dining/bar situation. There is no grabbing a cup of coffee and a small breakfast bite here. You agree to full breakfast every morning or go somewhere else. To even enter the elegant Bar/Lounge you must be admitted by multiple security/doormen and then shown to a table or the bar. Grabbing a cocktail to bring to the room is an ordeal. Spa services were great but steam and sauna is coed.

This was my second stay at the hotel. Unfortunately, my first stay was a disappointment. I was met with a dirty bathroom, with – to put it mildly – dried urine on the toilet. After complaining, I had to wait several hours before a new room was ready. I did receive an upgrade, but in reality, it was a downgrade since the original room I was given had already been a double upgrade. I was also given a voucher for the bar, but later discovered that this is something all guests receive as standard. My second stay was fortunately much better, though still not without issues. In the middle of the night, the fire alarm went off, and the staff were in no way proactive in communicating with guests. A simple solution could have been to place staff by the elevators to inform guests that it was merely a false alarm, so we wouldn’t have had to go all the way down to the reception to find this out ourselves. All in all, I expected more from a hotel in this price range (£450–£560 per night).

The ground floor has a complete flavour compared to the upper floors Superior bedrooms are just average, mattresses uncomfortable, bedding dirty and instead if being changed turned inside out! no safety in bedrooms, not enough space for clothes and the shower screen are to small and whilst showering the all floor get flooded The bathroom are really old and the bedroom do not smell nice. The carpet and furniture have been renewed; however, with a range that screams CHEEP!!!!! And smells in accordance Cleanliness not good at all dust everywhere even on hangers and bedding full of human hair and marks of blood disgusting The rooms are iper hitting and there is no way to turn the temperature down; the sounds for outside is ridiculous and the tv was self turning on all night The mattress was the mist uncomfortable we ever slept We got up with terrible pains everywhere The breakfast good but the restaurant inconveniently small and tipe if tables not adequate; having to share your table with others like if you are at a canteen not nice at all At our arrival we were given a bedroom which wasn’t the superior we booked and it had a window to a light-well with obscured glazing and a sound of an engine that was ridiculous We had our dinner booked and by the time we got moved to another room it was already too late! Everything was a recipe for a disaster for the price we paid quite offensive… the hotel is maximum 3.5 stars To access the bar it was necessary a reservation so wrong

The staff were fantastic across the whole hotel. The rooms however were not clean & very tired. There was debris in the toilet and rubbish shoved on top of the wardrobe. OK for the price I suppose but wouldn’t stay here again.

Hotel great, service in hotel great, cleanliness - immaculate, breakfast - lovely, bar - wow but on check out the receptionist did not have a clue and had to be helped. If you are in a 5 star on a busy morning checkout and I know people Need to train get them Supervision or put them on when it’s quieter. An amazing weekend ruined by 1 thing

Everything was excellent fo our stay. Room 701 was large, clean and well equipped. Very quiet too which is unusual in central London. All staff friendly and helpful, Sadie on reception was especially kind. All in all, highly recommended. A real 5* experience.

We have been staying at The Mayfair for years and this was the worst room we have had! Room 110 was dark and dingy with a fire escape for a view! Badly designed room with the Tv on a side wall and some suspect stains on the bedsheets! Not sure that room should qualify as a Superior Room (Collection) - more like a budget option!!!! Very noisy room too with water noises from other rooms and constant noise from the nearby service rooms! The shower was over the bath in a small room with a broken toilet seat….. Not our usual experience at a 5* hotel. This stay has now made me question if I would come here again!

An excellent hotel that exceeded all of our expectations. The location is absolutely perfect for getting to everywhere we wanted to go, and a 2 min walk to the Green Park tube line. We couldn't have picked a better property to stay at. Very happy with our decision. The room was also much larger than we expected. We will definitely return to this property in the future.

TV didn’t work, hair dryer didn’t work, room was in noisy location at elevator lobby, room chairs were uncomfortable, many more. This hotel only has location going for it. All else is average at best and inferior to many other chain hotels nearby.

Great hotel. Conveniently located to explore the city. A block away from transportation and city tour buses. The only note for this hotel is that on the 2nd and 6th floors they allow guests to smoke on their balconies. There is no guarantee that if your room is located in these floors, it won’t smell like cigarettes. That was our case. They acknowledged it and gave us an upgrade. So make sure to ask to stay away from these 2 floors. Everything else was great. Amazing staff.

We stayed in one of the craziest rooms ever. Glass bathroom doors, a tiny shower with no curtain and with less than an inch high drain pan, which meant the floor flooded every time you showered, no wastebasket in the bathroom, the open closet was in the bathroom right next to the toilet. I have no idea who designed this room but no person from the hotels management could ever have tried to use it.

My recent seven-day business trip stay at this hotel was nothing short of a disappointment due to its extremely poor service. Firstly, the hotel failed to deliver on its promise of adequate heating as advertised on their website. Despite being in the midst of winter, my room was inadequately heated, necessitating the wearing of a down coat indoors throughout my stay. This unacceptable condition resulted in me falling ill on the final day of my trip, adding further discomfort to my journey back to the US. The thermostat was non-functioning. Even after confirming our contact details, there has been no attempt to rectify the situation or provide an explanation for the subpar service experienced.

Excellent breakfast. Doorman was intermittent tending the front door. Turndown service was missed every night of our stay despite repeated request for it. Friendly staff. The hairdryer is oddly attached inside a drawer in the closet. Awkward. The magnifying mirror is located very low on the wall and doesn’t raise. Difficult to use.

Arrived at check in time after a 24 hour travel period, room was not ready so I had to wait for 45 mins. I then had to ask if the room was ready, they forgot I was waiting. Room was indeed ready some time prior. I then got to the room, my luggage was not there. I called and asked for it. Told it was on its way. I then waited. Waited some more, and eventually had to go back down stairs and ask for my luggage and take it up myself. An average start to the stay. Hotel is somewhat tired as it is old, however worn carpets in the hall ways is a little cheap for the price being paid.

Love the Mayfair and its neighborhood. Close to the tube, great dining, shopping and even a grocery across the street. The staff are super accommodating and the taxis are always available. Great for theater, runs to dinner where you may be more dressed up. Otherwise easy to walk most places or take the tube.

A staff member entered into our room early in the morning when we were still asleep and woke us up. We were startled by the incident and, although they apologised for the intrusion (they tried to explain what happened but we were so confused and still half asleep that I don't remember what the explanation was). We couldn't get back to sleep, so that was terrible. The hotel should have a system to indicate to staff what rooms are occupied.

I was disembarking the Gatwick Express when I got a phone call from the May Fair to tell me they were over booked and I could not stay there. They arranged for me to stay at The Londoner which was nice but my friends were staying at the May Fair so it was not ideal.

I was underwhelmed. I was never offered any of the VIP items until I submitted a review. I believe I should have been notified of the adjacent construction reality. Concierge service was mediocre. Room service was very good. Solid location. Team members out front are exceptional.

Staff amazing throughout stay from checking in to check out to bar service. The room was a standard room which was ok for a 1 night stay with all normal amenities. Room service food was very disappointing and really cold, they took of the service charge but not the food bill which again was disappointing considering I could not eat the food as it was so cold.

Breakfast very small and chaotic. Shared tables not what you expect for 5 star hotel. Long queues for toaster, have to find waitress to order eggs. Food trays left outside many rooms for hours on end. Shame as the hotel itself has a luxury feel, would only stay again if had breakfast in room but would probably go elsewhere

A very busy hotel, obviously popular with business travellers and event organisers. There were a couple of small issues with the room however it was clean and spacious. The in-room and buffet breakfast selections were the highlight for me - Exceptional.

Forth time staying here and still a great hotel, great location… this time really let down by breakfast…. Long wait to be seated, wasn’t offered a breakfast menu which most other tables were and had to ask 5 times for coffee which took 10 mins to come… a shame as the first time this hotel has dropped the ball for me..
