The staff at the Rookery were wonderful! They were personable, professional and extremely helpful. My first room was on the top floor, and many flights up stairs. I was already exhausted and in pain from a tour I had been on, and just could not deal with more steps. The staff were amazing and were able to switch my room to the 1st floor. The hotel location in an up and coming area of London is interesting and convenient to many interesting sites south of the Thames, as well as Heathrow. I love the ambiance of the hotel and room comfort, but having only a clawfoot tub in the bathroom was a challenge.

Just a one night business stay. Stunning interiors and very comfortable. Wonderful friendly staff. Close to tube/train station and loads of bars/restaurants. Only caveat - there are no lifts, not a problem for myself but it could be for others.

Our room was quirky, quiet and comfortable, and service was impeccable from the moment we arrived. Being greeted by Bagheera the cat was a bonus! There are countless restaurants nearby for dinner and our room service breakfast including Brick Lane bagels was incredible! The two honesty bars in the lounges were also well stocked and a nice touch. One small thing - the bathroom it our room was very much designed for style over function. The shower was difficult to get to the right temperature and left the bathroom floor covered with water. Overall we had a brilliant stay.

Lovely decor! Price is a bit too high for the size of the room and the bathroom sink could be bit more modern along with proper ventilation and bigger sized TV but overall it was comfortable. Great cleaning from the housekeepers!!! They deserve a pay raise! Kudos to all of them!!

This is a charming hotel, although it feels a bit tired. Room was overly warm and could not cool it down, even though it was not hot outside. Bathroom lacked outlets. Breakfast menu was uninspiring. Location is good with easy access to transportation. Area is a bit dead on the weekends but during the week there are multiple restaurant choices close by.

The Rookery is an old beautiful hotel. The interior was lovely! After staying at three previous places in England, we were surprised that breakfast was not included in the high prices and also each item of water or tea, etc was also an itemized charge. The location was a little loud at night with the neighborhood bu8t seemed safe.

A great Boutique hotel with lots of character. Friendly and professional staff. Would like to have seen a in room coffee machine but other than that it was perfect. Breakfast was very well presented and good quality. Highly recommended!

Beautiful property and great staff. No tea or coffee in rooms and my neighbour snored like an elephant all night and it was like he was in my room. He then got up super early and was very loud and inconsiderate.

This was my second stay at The Rookery, The entire place, rooms included are beautiful. The room service and food were was very good. The staff were excellent! We had a cell phone and credit card issue and had to tie their desk phone up for awhile. They could not have been friendlier or more accommodating. This is a quiet neighborhood with the underground very close by which is great. I highly recommend Thr Rookery!

The Rookery is an old beautiful hotel. The interior was lovely! After staying at three previous places in England, we were surprised that breakfast was not included in the high prices and also each item of water or tea, etc was also an itemized charge. The location was a little loud at night with the neighborhood bu8t seemed safe.

A great Boutique hotel with lots of character. Friendly and professional staff. Would like to have seen a in room coffee machine but other than that it was perfect. Breakfast was very well presented and good quality. Highly recommended!

A travel in time. An "Edwardian" / "Victorian" boutique hotel with fantastic staff (and cat). In-Room breakfast at a very reasonable price. Honesty (gin) bar is available 24/7. Every room is unique with a lovely interior. Beware of low height of ceiling on upper floors...

This was my second stay at The Rookery, The entire place, rooms included are beautiful. The room service and food were was very good. The staff were excellent! We had a cell phone and credit card issue and had to tie their desk phone up for awhile. They could not have been friendlier or more accommodating. This is a quiet neighborhood with the underground very close by which is great. I highly recommend Thr Rookery!

This is a charming hotel, although it feels a bit tired. Room was overly warm and could not cool it down, even though it was not hot outside. Bathroom lacked outlets. Breakfast menu was uninspiring. Location is good with easy access to transportation. Area is a bit dead on the weekends but during the week there are multiple restaurant choices close by.

Our room was quirky, quiet and comfortable, and service was impeccable from the moment we arrived. Being greeted by Bagheera the cat was a bonus! There are countless restaurants nearby for dinner and our room service breakfast including Brick Lane bagels was incredible! The two honesty bars in the lounges were also well stocked and a nice touch. One small thing - the bathroom it our room was very much designed for style over function. The shower was difficult to get to the right temperature and left the bathroom floor covered with water. Overall we had a brilliant stay.

Loved the Rookery. Very homely, comfortable, and enjoyed the fact you got Breakfast in bed! Bagheera, the cat, hosted well (although a bit aloof).

This property isn't for everyone; there's no elevator and there was only a shower tub. It's an old building so the floor above squeaked. That being said, the staff is amazingly friendly; very clean; very convenient to the tube; honor drink bar in library; and nice cat Bagheera.

I absolutely cannot wait to stay here again. It is absolutely stunning and the staff is so friendly.. the beds were comfortable and the bathtub was the perfect thing to come home to after a long day of walking in the city. The little lounge areas sporadically placed along the ground floor were also beautiful and made the stay feel more home-y. We also love a property that includes a friendly cat.. haha ;)

Wonderful boutique hotel. Lovely bedrooms and communal lounges. Fab location for the Barbican, easy walking distance. We took breakfast in the library which was really special. The staff could not do enough for us, we will definitely be going back.
