This hotel is Ok. Handy location and nice bar. The hotel itself is tired , needs a refurbishment. Leather panelling in foyer is ripped. Carpet is old . Wallpaper is dreadful.

Manager upgraded our room as our travel companions had booked here previously. Room was nicely furnished but small. The one elevator we used initially stopped on every floor! Took forever to get to our room on the 4th floor. When we later asked the desk clerk, he said they are awaiting parts to fix it. Showed us another set of elevators that took us to the 5th floor, then we had to go through 2 sets of doors, down a few steps to get to our room on 4th floor. Otherwise a nice hotel in the upscale Marylebone area.

A lovely hotel. Staff on Reception and in lobby all incredibly friendly and helpful. Lovely Margarita in bar on our return from a meal out. Wonderful pillows too!

I've been staying here for over 10 years and I can say that it has steadily gone downhill to the point where I will not be staying here anymore. The bar area has lost its atmosphere. The rooms are tired, there are still one or two of the original staff members left that made it special. But it seems not to care for loyal customers anymore.

The lobby was small and the decor and walls were in need of repair. Leather peeling from the padded walls. Carpet very worn in the stair wells. Windows in our room were dirty. The key cards did not work, I went down to the front desk about a dozen times in the course of a week to get new ones.

A lovely hotel in a great location. People were friendly and attentive. Breakfast wasn’t great. So many good places to eat away from the hotel I would recommend getting out. Also, key card system for rooms is very old. Put it near you phone and it will stop working.

Very pleased with my room and modern feel of the hotel. Room and public spaces were clean. Decor is very nice. Food in restaurant, while not inexpensive, was very good. Area is excellent. Close to tube stations, Oxford Street and Marylebone neighborhood is lovely. Only complaints were about the staff. While they were friendly, most seemed to either not understand what I said or were simply unable to articulate themselves clearly. Perhaps they were new or English isn’t their first language. Finally, I came back to my room one afternoon to find a strong odor of cigarette smoke in the bathroom. As a former smoker, there is no doubt in my mind someone had a cigarette in the bathroom in my absence. The staff blamed it on the vents, but that doesn’t make sense since it is a non-smoking property. I did not want to change rooms, so front desk sent someone up with deodorizer. That did the trick, but I was still unhappy with the fact someone had a smoke in my bathroom! Aside from that unusual event, I would recommend the hotel. Just double check they won’t be refurbishing the hotel during your stay.

Clean room overlooking the street but it was quiet. Staff was very helpful. Assisted us in shipping home a package. Offered umbrellas due to the heavy rain one day. Food was excellent.

Every member of staff we met was excellent from check in to checking out! … very polite and knowledgeable. Room was spacious and clean and quiet. Location of this hotel is perfect for shopping in Bond Street, Oxford Street and Marylebone High Street. Bond Street underground no more than a 10 minute walk away so accessing other parts of London was easy.

The room and the bed is very comfortable. The bathroom is nice and the location is excellent. The hotel needs to be upgraded. One elevator doesn’t work. Access Card’s to the room don’t work carpets should be replaced. Hotel needs renovation in common areas. The hotel needs an upgrade The hotel needs an upgrade and a fresh look.

Good hotel with comfortable beds. Wifi is extremely unreliable though so don’t stay here if you need to connect to wifi. Cleaning staff ignored do not disturb signs and still knocked and entered the room. Great breakfast and the staff overall were great

Room was lovely, apart from being on 8th floor heard all the noise from outside, windows were very poor and shocking repair work. No black out curtains still light at midnight. Noise out side was dreadful all night. Staff at reception were very good. Requested an early call for 5 in morning got it at 5.15. Needed to leave for treatment by 5.30, not so good. Was able to book a taxi which did arrive on time. A positive stay with all the little problems and would stay again.

Greatest staff - so kind and accommodating. Perfect location. The hotel itself is worn down. I stayed for 8 days and was in two different room close to the elevator. There were so much noise from the elevator and hallways from 22-24 and 06-08.

I have been staying in hotels for over 30 years and this was the first time I ever got sent to a room (#103) already occupied by another guest. The dude on reception followed me up when he realised but not until I tried to get in and the incumbent guest was, understandably, pissed off. I then got told some cobblers about a problem with the booking system before I got put in the disabled guest's room (#311), aka the emergency we messed up room.. I reserved a superior room with queen-size bed, the bed was not queen-size and if the room was what the hotel calls "superior", I'd hate to see a "standard" room. Really small room, bathroom almost the same size as the rest of the room. Overall, less than satisfactory. Breakfast was good though.

The hotel staff here is exceptional! They are 5 star trained. It was unbelievable. I will only be staying at this hotel from now on when I'm in London for the staff alone. Not only are they extremely helpful, but they made my stay so enjoyable. Felt like a my family away from home!

Would no recommend this place to anybody. Staff quite rude on arrival. They charged my card without permission accusing me of damaging the carpet (which we most certainly didn’t) yet won’t provide proof of the damage nor the invoice, nor did they contact me to inform me that they would be charging my card £400. Could only recommend this place if you want to be treated by rude staff and be at risk of being charged for something you didn’t do

The staff were top notch! Just for the staff (like every single staff member we encountered) I would highly recommend. The suite was wonderful, so clean and lots of room. I had emailed the night before I arrived asking if we could store our luggage as we would probably be early for check in. I had mentioned we could perhaps try the afternoon tea at the restaurant but was not sure if we needed reservations. I also mentioned we were celebrating my mom's birthday. When I arrived, they had the room ready, and they made reservations at the restaurant AND left a cute note with a piece of cake for my mom! And that was only the beginning of the excellent customer service. The location was great. There is a restaurant connected to the hotel but you also had many restaurants and coffee shops right outside. Everything was in walking distance with the shopping at Oxford Street 5 minutes walk. Would definitely stay there again.

During my hotel stay, I requested an early check-out and was assured by the front desk that the unused night would be refunded. I was told to contact the reservation team for the refund, but I was directed to Expedia since I booked with them. After speaking with multiple executives at Expedia, I was informed that the refund decision lies with The Mandeville Hotel. I eventually contacted the hotel's General Manager, but my email was directed to the Front Office Manager (FOM) instead. I was informed that the FOM would investigate the refund request, but it has been two weeks since my last correspondence and I have not received any response from FOM or the GM of the hotel. I am confused as to why it is taking so long for them to refund my money, considering that I was confirmed the refund by the front desk staff.

Room decent size and clean. There was a cold breeze from somewhere, even with heating on and windows shut. TV contrast was wrong (as we didn't really use it didn't bother us). Every member of staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast had a good choice of food and it tasted good. 2 minutes walk from Bond Street Station so location was excellent (we chose the hotel as 5 to 10min walk from london palladium).

Loved the hotel. Perfect and quiet location that we were able to walk everywhere but get away from the busy streets for the evening. Room was small but we didn’t spend much time in it anyway. Super clean and very comfortable beds. Great shower and loved a heated towel rack. Loved the hotel staff greeting us each morning and evening. Concierge helped with questions and bookings. Just an absolutely amazing area for our first trip to see London.

Amazing location - so near to the shops and with some great eateries nearby too. The room was spacious and felt really cosy and welcoming. All the staff were incredibly friendly & welcoming. The only minor complaint we have is that we felt breakfast was a little overpriced for the quality, but there was plenty on offer.

The hotel was lovely. Nice and clean, and the staff were very friendly. Air con worked perfectly and the bathroom was spotless. The breakfast in the adjoined restaurant was a little disappointing, the pancakes didn’t taste homemade which I’d expect for the price of them. The room we were in had a door to another room where we could hear conversations and TV really loudly.
