Excellent airport shuttle service

Great room, friendly staff and the shuttle was great so we didn't need a car.

I waited 30 minutes for the shuttle pickup and another 30 minutes for check-in at 10:30 pm.

Didnt get the room we reserved. Reserved a room with a king bed, got one with a double bed and broken pull out couch. When I notified the front desk, they responded that they were sold out and therefore we couldnt switch rooms until the next night. Swapped rooms to a king room, there was a dishwasher in a box in the middle of the room. Tired, we just pushed it out of the way so we could get some sleep. That night my car got broken into and property stolen. Also, they have people who are clearly staying there, very long term. We checked out 2 days early and got an air bnb. Best extra 50 bucks a night ever spent.

They offer a shuttle from ferry to hotel and from hotel to airport. That was nice!

Hotels.com does not allow enough space for a complete description of the problems with the hotel, so the following is cryptic. Adequate rooms (but see below), poorly run hotel. Too many people to fit in shuttle at airport. Driver said he would return in 5-10 minutes for the rest of us. Didn't reappear until about 25 minutes later, with people inside that he had to deposit at the terminal before getting us. Obviously did not just turn around to come get us. Hotel misnamed. Not suites, which have more than one room. These are single rooms with a kitchen at one end. Noise during night when refrigerator turned on to cool down. Frequent episodes during night of noise of water rushing through pipes, presumably from guests in other rooms running water or flushing toilets. Sometimes rather loud. Reserved two rooms months in advance for 6 of us. Arrived about 11am. Hotel does not do check-in before noon. Left luggage in storage room, went to Juneau to do things. Returned about 5pm. Got rooms at opposite ends of third building instead of together. Desk clerk said, "...so they are on the same floor." Apparently might have been on different floors! One was inadequately cleaned with sticky floors. Had called 2 weeks in advance. Was told shuttle ran on hour and 1/2 hour, register for it the day ahead. However, when tried to reserve shuttle for 5:30am next morning, was told that it was taken by sister hotel, Juneau Hotel. Had to take 5am shuttle instead. Just delightful.

My biggest complaint with this property was that I was the newest thing on site, and I was born in the 80s! 😂. I was traveling with eight family members fresh off of a cruise ship and we had lots of luggage. The check-in process was very easy and the hotel staff offered to keep all of our luggage in the back office until we could check into our room four hours later. All of that was quite nice. The buildings in the room however, are extremely old and dated and I don’t think have seen a paintbrush or fresh carpet in 30 years. The floor trim was missing in places, the mini blinds that were covering our window were damaged and frayed, the windows were difficult to operate. And for a hotel in a northern area like this where it’s daylight 20 hours a day, the fact that they did not have curtains was rather surprising. There is no air conditioning, and the ceiling fan left a lot to be desired as far as making the room cool enough to be comfortable. Even though the heat was turned off and it was 65° outside the hotel room was about 75° when I opened the door. The kitchenette was convenient as we ordered some food to go and we had a nice place to eat at the counter in a microwave and a sink to clean up. We did get two rooms and one was on the first floor and one was on the third floor. The elevator in our building was broken and there was no way I was lugging eight suitcases up three flights of stairs so they managed to get us a room in a different building, but inconvenient.

kitchenette was nice and hotel was quite. Only issue was we had to park in the back which was further from our room and the parking spots were very small.

The shuttle needs to go until the last flight in to Juneau. Waited 45 minutes for a cab from 11:30 pm until 12:20 am. We picked hotel because of shuttle and didn’t say it ended at 11 pm.

The location is good being close to the airport and the shuttle driver is able to arrive quickly for pick up. The morning shuttles were sometimes full requiring us to use a taxi back to the airport. The hotel is generally clean and the beds were comfortable.

Room is spotless, large and staff is accommodating.

Dirty bedding. Missing pillowcases. Dirty room/dust etc. Three days and not once did housekeeping even enter our room. It’s obvious that drug users are staying at the hotel and using it to further their activities. Do NOT stay here.

The hotel itself is a little dated, but it is close to the airport. The staff was friendly and helpful, and our room was spacious and very clean.

Sheets were dirty on bed, lots of hairs and definitely sheets from people before. Rest of apartment clean. Staff did not have any clean sheets so I slept on blankets that were in the clean laundry.

The hotel was just a few minutes from the airport, which was great. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel was a little dated, but our suite was very clean and met all our needs.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms and/or certain things in the room were not very clean. For example the dishes were dirty, most of the moving parts in the shower were dirty,

First room was dirty and unmade. 2nd room was nice..but the dishwasher wouldn't work and the housekeeping was basically non-existent.

Very spacious room with kitchen and separate bedroom. Close to the airport and the complimentary shuttle to the ferry and airport makes it very convenient.

Room was noisy from outside mechanical equipment

TV cable or streaming did not work. kept pausing on all channels. Ceiling fan was loose and noisy and could not turn on .

Hotel room was facing the sun it was like a sauna in there, no a/c and they left a tiny fan on the dresser. Didn’t sleep at all

The room was okay and close to the airport. However, the internet did not work, and the front desk just said it was "spotty." I'm not a fan of hotels that advertise on the internet, which does not work. The room was also uncomfortably warm, and the blinds were broken, letting light in (a big deal in Alaska in the summer). Finally, it was booked for three people, but there was no bedding or towels for the third person. Finally, we were told the morning shuttle to the airport was canceled to run to the ferry. The next morning, after calling Lyft, we found out that was not true.

This property is very convenient to the airport. The suite was well equipped and would be great for a longer stay. The hotel was clean and the staff was very cordial and helpful. The property shows some age in a few places, but nothing that bothered me. No restaurant on premises, but there are a couple of options very close and more options with a little travel.

Good location by the airport and bus stops. Comfortable suite with full kitchen allowed us to by king crabs right off the boat and cook them. ( had our own steaming pot)

No air conditioning in the rooms and no Resturant near

Its a nice place. Staff is friendly. They do not have air conditioning. I was miserable for the 2 evenings. It was hot and very stuffy. You can open a window. There are 2 small fans. Niether were not real helpful. On top of that the loud car noise going by. Since the window needing to be opened. You had to wait for the night cool down. When i was ready to sleep i could not because it was so hot. It was hard to breathe. I would go back again if they had air conditioning.

The room was old and dated . It had an old smell to it . The TV picture was not clear . The shower handle was impossible to set to a comfortable temperature. It was either really hot or cool . The room temperature was warm . With the window open it was still hard to get a breeze in the room probably because the roof of the property next door was so close .

Booked 2 kings - got one and a sofa bed Same for others we were traveling with Rather suspect they don’t actually have rooms with two kings , just photo-shopped their ads

They were very friendly and when our tv was not working they fixed it with out any problem

We had to call the hotel twice for the shuttle from the ferry. When we got to the hotel we waited in lines for 30 minutes to check in

If the check-in process had been tolerable I would probably be average on everything. But I sat there and watched dozens of rooms be given to someone else who came in after me. This was crazy. Granted it looked like my grandmother was working the desk, in fact all the people we saw looked elderly. And I'm prone to be very gentle with such but I hit my limit after waiting almost 6 hours to be checked into a room. No place to eat in the area without a mile walk and the hotel shuttle could not go anyplace except to/from the airport.

The hotel cashier check in person is behind a cage leaving me to wonder how unsafe is this area. Not feiendly staff. Late airport shuttle. Creepy people in the parking lot. Woke up to the smell of marijuana smoke in the room. In the parking lot a kid was digging in someone's truck bed. Room was clean and spacious.

Staff friendly and very helpful. If we had a problem they addressed and solved it quickly. Would definitely stay with them again.

An excellent place to stay between the ferry and airport - and the shuttle service was great between both destinations. Our room was a large and comfortable suite, and the hotel is within walking distance to restaurants and also along Juneau's public transit system - with a bus stop conveniently located near by.

Hotel was very quiet and comfortable, if a bit dated. It was convenient to the airport and a couple of restaurants. A grocery store was 10 minute walk, if you want to use the kitchen. The shuttle bus was a big savings, because taxis are expensive

Spartan at best. Made an effort, but this is a basic property without much to rave about. Shabby construction throughout, nice people but surrounding area pretty grim.

Probably should make sure staff checks that all light bulbs are working. Very convenient to the airport.

Location is excellent for me. Easy walking distance to everything I need. I stay here twice a year for a week at a time, and though it's the best for me, it's def not the best place. Needs a complete update/reno. Nevertheless until something FAR BETTER is built in the same location, I'll be staying here.

It's no great shakes: a little run down, but it's clean and doesn't pretend to be more than it is. It has the best location in the valley: walking distance to the airport, Nugget and Mendenhall malls, bus stops, post office (for shipping), restaurants. I always stay there, and only there when I'm in town.

It’s a nice but older facility. The people are wonderful. The area around the hotel has seen better days.

Very convenient for the airport. Buses every 30 minutes into Juneau. Staff are all amazing - so helpful.

Had a good stay. Walked to local bar/restaurants and took rideshare downtown. Close to the airport and staff was very helpful.

Room was large and adequete. The restaurant on the property was closed for breakfast, but just a 2 minute walk away was a great diner for breakfast, reasonable prices, good food and service, mostly frequented by locals.

Frontier is a good hotel, it's in town near the airport. They also have a few freezers to put your fish in upon arrival and departure. A friendly shuttle service, and a good Filipino restaurant down stairs. I use them everytime I go to Juneau. The rooms aren't to bad either.

Shuttle service to and from airport was responsive and comfortable. On-site restaurant was a plus even though we did not have time to use it.

The attached restaurant shown by Orbitz and Google is closed indefinitely. The Valley Restaurant is a few doors down to the south and their food is quick ans good.

Property was very close to airport and transportation provided was excellent. Reserved and paid for suite with queen bed, suite had a double bed, management was indifferent, told me they didn’t know what size beds were in the room and there was nothing they could do. Website says restaurant on site, the testaurant is closed.

Enjoyed the king suite and appreciate the fact that it was clean and spacious....felt more like home! It could use wine glasses and a few more cooking utensils. The restaurant on site was not good. Front desk personnel were not very friendly or helpful but the room was great and would stay again at the Frontier.
