We had a beautiful stay at the Meritage. All the staff were exceptional—so polite, friendly, accommodating, and helpful. The free shuttle to downtown Napa was a wonderful perk. We loved both the adults only pool and the family pool. I can’t wait to go back their again with my family or for a girls weekend!

Resort was very nice and we enjoyed our stay! The Olive Hay restaurant had a great breakfast and worked around food allergies! When we checked in, they didn’t have the room available that we rented. They gave us a $150 credit to use at the resort though. We were at the family pool early one day (9:00am) and there were no towels. I advised front desk staff but there were still no towels by the time we left. Overall it is a nice and clean resort!

We arrived early and they charged $90 for early checkin. We were fine with that; however, they put ius in a room with a balcony overlooking the catering storage area. We also checked in early to use the ppool. There were no towels for any of the guests until 3pm! Even those who paid for the privage lounges had no towells. Food was mediocre. We won't be back.

This property - looks nice on the website however - massive amounts of construction are currently going on - they had people working as new guests were checking in - smells of paint - it reeked. The woman checking us in then went through all the amenities to which all but 1 (the pool across the street at the other resort) were closed. The halls were dirty - there were massive events going on and the place was very loud and the hotel staff seemed very overwhelmed. Had I known the amenities had not been available - I would have never stayed here.

Always a great stay; love the pools, restaurants, and other amenities on site. We were there for the Blue Note concert series and it’s great having dining options and even room service if you don’t want or don’t make any reservations to formal sit down dining. The crush lounge has pool table and bowling along with greet drinks and food after the concerts if you’re not ready to turn in yet. Great tasting rooms, complimentary wine in room, and such an amazing view. Brunch at Olive & Hay is amazing. Love walking the grounds and the staff are always wonderful.

This resort is absolutely beautiful with many amenities, unfortunately, some were under construction right now, both pools, hot tub and bowling alley. We’re all closed. They do offer two pools one is for 18 and over and one is for families, they do have cabanas for rent. I did eat at the steakhouse at the resort, the food was delicious you can’t go wrong eating here and the service was beyond amazing. Resort has a store with a deli inside the rooms do have refrigerators and coffee makers. The bar in the lobby is always busy, but the bartenders work for really good at their craft beers cost around $10 and cocktails are about $20. I will definitely be back hopefully for one of their summer concerts. I was here for a convention and the food they served for breakfast, lunch and all of their snacks was excellent.

Facilities are very good, Service though is extremely poor. An hour long line to check in, one person only in reception, a promise of a bottle of wine as a welcome, that was not in the room as stated, cleaning of the room was poor, they didnt leave towels, or water, seemed as if you have to be on top of everything and reminding them you were actually a paid guest expecting a great service, jacuzzi was not working and never worked while I was there, great for families it reads, but children under 18 have to actually move to a different location in order to enjoy a pool and jacuzzi (that wasn't working) Poor experience at a very good facility.

Most lights in our room including patio light did not work. Shuttle that they run to and from downtown Napa was not accommodating. They run one bust and people have to sit on each others laps to make room. It was dangerous and uncomfortable.

The Meritage is promising a 5-star experience and offering a 3.5. Overall this is a decent place. The rooms were very clean and the area was safe and quiet. One cleanliness issue we saw was room service dishes being left in the hall for over 24 hours. The staff was friendly but didn’t seem to be quite at the level of a luxury resort. Don’t grab breakfast at the coffee shop, The Blend! You’ll pay top dollar for a breakfast that is premade, microwaved into oblivion and the coffee is bitter. For an egg bowl and a large latte it was $26. If you’re looking for a place that is tucked away and quiet this is the place for you.

Nice property, walked into the room with dirty glasses and dirty towels, trash and lotion in the bathroom from previous guest. Hair in the bed and in shower. Beds very uncomfortable, and when brought up to front desk they so oh well until we talked to manager even then only said they can comp the resort fee.

My husband and I were looking forward to spending a few days at this resort with our boys. When we showed up check in was great. While we were walking to our room we noticed the hallway floors were FILTHY! Once we got to our room and the AC kicked in the room had a loud noise coming from the bathroom and the patio had tons of water on it. We were given another room across the hotel and again noticed the hallway carpets were FILTHY and hadn't been vacuumed in a while. It didn't leave us confident that our rooms were all that clean because of what we had experienced at that point. We went to Olive & Hay for dinner on both nights we were there. The food was good but the first night the waitress didn't seem to want to be there and our second night we sat for 45 minutes before we were given water and even acknowledge. We were about to get up and leave but because this was the only restaurant I stopped a worker and asked if we could get water and order a drink. We finally got help by our waiter but the service was very slow. We were going to go to Mexico for vacation but wanted to support our local hotel instead and give our kids a Napa experience they would never forget. For the money we spent at this hotel and food was not worth it at all and will not recommend any of my family or friends to stay at this resort.

Meritage now charges to park on top of a $50 a night resort fee. The Blend coffee shop is closed so you have to walk across to the other propane wait in a huge line to find out the cappuccino machine is broken. Then we ordered some food from Crush and half our order was missing after a 45 min wait. When we did get the food there was hair in it. The common bathrooms were filthy and our room had areas with water damage. This used to be a lovely resort. I spent many nights here and organized company events. I'm disappointed at the decline in service and overall condition of the property.

There was water pooling in my room. My socks and slippers got wet. I called the front desk several times. They were going to send someone. No one came. Waited over an hour and a half. Tried calling again, then they stopped answering my call. Was pass midnight by then. Figured out it was from that fridge in the room. It was leaking. Valet put the boxed water in the fridge but didn't close the door well. Started to clean up the water and floors were dirty. Had to also kill a spider next to my bed and discovered the corner where I killed the spider was filthy. Didn't they claim to have remodeled this place? Just terrible.

We paid extra for a Vineyard View room with a balcony - at check in - I asked for a quiet room if at all possible. The first room they gave us had no balcony and was directly on the pool with no “view” except the loud DJ at the pool. We went back and they assured us we would then be in a “Vineyard View” - it looked directly into a parking lot with a dumpster directly in front of our patio. The bathroom constantly had ants crawling in it and we could hear every footstep of the people in the room above us. We severely disappointed especially considering the cost.

I splurged for this hotel since it was at the same property as the concert my friend and I were going to. Our room balcony overlooked the kitchen loading area. It was terribly noisy. Then, a bunch of bounce houses were set up and making even more noise. Also, when checking in they surprised me with a down payment of $150 for "incidentals", but said there was a "complimentary" bottle of wine in the room. At check out, they charged almost $60 to cover the cost of the wine. The one night stay cost me over $500. Also, the grounds are poorly mapped out and walking to the concert was difficult. I will never come back.

The bathrooms are insane. There is no privacy in any of the areas of the bathroom and no doors that actually close. The shampoo and body soap are the same. Everything is way too overpriced.

This was a beautiful resort with some great amenities. Olive & Hay and Ember Steak House were both great places to eat. The room was very comfortable. We had a view of the pool and fortunately enough it wasn’t too noisy. The only problem we had was the A/C unit was loud so we opened to window at night and we had beautiful cool evenings. We will definitely return. Loved seeing a concert venue!

Riom very ckean and glasses in room never cleaned nor changed out via housekeeping. We even tipped. Also, hostess at Olive and Hay rude during dining encounter. Vinryard view was parking lot and linen station - photo. Had them move us although paid for thae upgraded view.

Nice grounds and amenities, TERRIBLE SERVICE. Front desk was clearly understaffed. Line was very long and slow at all hours of the day. I asked the lady who checked me in which way to go to my room. Her response - “I think it’s that way.” Any time I tried to call front desk no answer. The TV in my room didn’t work and I couldn’t get anyone to answer me on the phone or via the chat bot. Restaurant food was ok, service was slow and unfriendly. Generally, there seems to be a staffing and management issue.

Front desk and housekeeping staff are rude and questionable. Bar staff, valet, pool staff are the opposite extreme of being nice, friendly and accommodating. Room was not cleaned 2 days in a row (we were out of the room 9:30-4:30). Front desk was actually rude! Actually rude! And I was part of a wedding party that had probably spent easily over 150K that weekend at this resort. Only giving it 2 stars for the bar, pool and valet staff. We were overcharged $485 and have not been able to get in touch with the hotel for three days. They have yet to send the folio as well detailing the charges of our stay. They don’t answer their phone so I’ve had to place a help ticket through their reservation line. The front desk was not able to answer our call from the room the night we were staying there either after four attempts! They never called back to see what we needed or check on us. Nice hotel but difficult to get any help if there’s an issue! One star service at best!

Stay in the Presidential Suite was good, not great. The hotel is set within a corporate/commercial building area which is convenient, but not very pretty to drive through. On this stay I roomed in the Presidential Suite was expansive and recently upgraded to a more modern look, but wasn’t perfect. For starters the views off the patio looked out onto a small portion of the vineyard behind the hotel, but more prominently over a wide, used street that runs behind the hotel. The room had various “really?” defects, such as a microwave missing its upper cover plate, dead recessed lights, a fireplace that didn’t work and which had a broken door, and a makeup mirror which didn’t work. The pool area was fine, nothing too extraordinary. The gym was okay, definitely good enough for some lowkey vacation workouts. On checkout I was charged $45/day resort fees which were never discussed with me at check in nor at checkout - only discovered when looking at the receipt later. Overall I was satisfied with my stay, but not enthralled.

Everything you’d want to do is either at the property or across the street from the property. Ex: at the property, you have restaurants, a spa, a pool, & areas to walk thru the vineyard. Across the street, you have more restaurants, a gourmet grocery store, more areas to walk. It’s fabulous!

This resort was very nice. Clean and comfortable. It was far from some of the wineries and the airport so spent a lot on transportation. I do appreciate the shuttle that took us to downtown Napa. It was a great stay overall. Food was very good.

We loved how clean the room and property is and having 24 hour access to the gym. Very centralized in Napa, driving distort shops and dining within 10 minutes. Planning on staying here again.

We were in Napa with family. Check in was good. Rooms are decent size but we were heavily disappointed with the shower. The shower looked like it was outdated. The shower head flow was all over the place and shooting in different directions. For a high end resort the body wash, shampoo was like water. Placed in a very inconvenient space. Checkout was 11versus 12. No coffee downstairs you have to go across and get coffee. Tried to order room service they said it would take 55 minutes. Never heard of that before. If I was to come back to Napa I would not stay here.

The property is beautiful, the rooms are very nice and it is great that they have a 21 pool. However, the service at the pool was terrible. We ordered $25 Carne Asada nachos, which was basically a huge pile of dry chips with very little toppings on it. Our waiter never came back to check on us so we asked another waiter if he could at least bring us a little more cheese or something because the chips were so dry. Never saw that waiter again either. Then we went bowling that night in the Crush Lounge. The food took forever… We had come early so we could eat beforehand but we ended up having to get all of our food after we started bowling which was not so much fun to eat finger food while putting your fingers in a dirty bowling ball. Also, the lane we were given was not working and wouldn’t give us a strike on the board when we got them so we had to keep asking staff to manually fix it, and the staff was not working the bowling table area so we would have to track someone down to do that every time and they were so annoyed at us but not our fault! They should have comped us for the bowling after all that trouble but they didn’t. If you go there, do not let them put you in lane number #2! All in all this is a nice resort, but for the rate that we paid, there were too many service issues and disappointments to justify paying $500 per night.

Booked Meritage on Expedia. I asked for a special request in regarding my fiancé & I, 1 year engagement to decorate the room in some way. When we got to the room they didn’t do nothing. Not sure if they saw the request or was just lazy (-1 point) There was a restaurant on site we wanted to go for breakfast which was called Olive & Hay. They were closed everyday for our 3 night stay. Really disappointed (-1 point) Room service was really slow. I requested ice be delivered to our room because front desk said there was no machine for guest to have access. We waited nearly 2 hours just to get a bucket of ice (-1 point) Overall: Property is nice, ember steak house was good, grocery store on site (over priced) & spa (overpriced — couples treatment for $500 for an hour?? Whaat?) Would not come here again but my fiancé & I made the most out of it. Also watch out for the $300 charge when you get to registration/check in. It’s mandatory they charge your card.

Good buy for the money. The check in was slow but they made it better with a glass of sparkling wine. The dining was not good. It is the first time I send a plate back. Their onion sup was tasteless.

Dining options are limited. Especially for vegetarians. My suggestion would be to go into Napa. Don't expect a phone call back from this hotel. I called 7 times and left 3 messages in regard to a room block for a conference I was going to and no one ever called me back. It is a very beautiful spot though.

Property was amazing! However we were told by staff we did not need reservations for Olive and Hay as well as bowling which turned out to not be true. We were not able to get into dinner until almost 9pm and never got to bowl, so that was disappointing. Overall great stay though.

Hands down, it is an amazing property. The bed are ..aaahhh. high quality bedding, rooms are clean, room service fast and professional. The cons were the long wait to check-in (if they're understaffed, they should move to a self-check in system) and I should have been given room options. My room was at the very end of a long hall, with a view of the parking lot. If given the option, I would have requested a better view.
