The only downside to the stay was that the hot tub drain was making a loud annoying noise. Hard to relax completely and enjoy the hot tub with the noise.

Nice place with great access to the coast. Bicycles were welcome. Continental breakfast got us going. The room was neat and clean. Elevators nearby. Hot tub was warm and the pool cool. Tub did not blow air. No drying towels found poolside. Covered parking. A great stay.

Quiet neighborhood, parking was close to the door. Had an elevator, which many other hotels nearby did not. Hot tub and sauna felt good after walking all day. Near the lighthouse, aquarium and restaurants. Fresh squeezed orange juice and continental breakfast of muffins, bagels, boiled eggs, instant oatmeal, etc. Refrigerator and microwave in room.

Room was large, blackout curtains and fireplace daily complimentary fire log a huge plus! Decor a bit dated but comfortable enough. Curtains in room 108 ripped/snagged and slightly stained, soap dish had soap scum residue in it before we even used it(not a plus), screw dropped off screen when opened but slider still functional & the doors to closet did NOT slide easily AT ALL, and the shower head had some strangely colored reside all around it. Water pressure adequate and water warmed very quickly. Pool hot-tub wonderful. Beds comfortable and clean. The nicest staff were there only on our departure day. The location is stellar—walkable/very close to restaurants, shops and the beach! Will return here in future!

We were quite pleased with our stay. Nothing fancy, but comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our room and public areas were very clean and had everything we needed. Microwave, frig, coffee pot and the towels and linen were perfect. The breakfast room was clean with seating inside or outside overlooking the pool area. Parking was easy. The hotel was in the best location for us, close to a golf course and not far from the bay or downtown. We will return the next time we are in that area.

Our room was very clean. It could use a new mattress but over all we were comfortable for the two nights we stayed. The grounds and halls are well kept and beautifully decorated. The pool is a comfortable temperature. The staff is pleasant and helpful. Breakfast items were sufficient for a good morning start.

Was an okay stay. When we checked into our room and opened the bathroom, there were so many dead gnats all over the floor. I opened the toilet and there were like 15 just floating in there. It didn't bother me too much though I just plugged up the cracks in the window, cleaned the floor and shut the bathroom door when it wasn't in use and it was fine. The AC was broken though; we got really hot one night and turned the thermostat to 65 degrees. We woke up an hour later sweating to the unit blasting out hot air and the room was at 80°. Tried calling the front desk for about a half hour but no one answered. I don't blame them though it was midnight and maybe there just wasn't anyone to cover the shift. Overall it was fine, nothing inherently bad about the stay. It was a very large room and the sheets and bed were clean. Probably won't stay again but it really wasn't that bad. Free breakfast was nice.

The hotel room was good, the TV is slightly old but as long as you bring something like a Nintendo Switch or Firestick, you are able be alright. The curtains are see through which threw us off heavily but at night its hard to see through.

This property was nearly perfect. Our bed was small for a queen and uncomfortable. The pillows were flat. But the room was excellent and clean. The staff very friendly. The shower had good water pressure and heated quickly. The balcony allowed fresh air into the room. The continental breakfast was just that but the bagels and muffins were fresh.

Our king size room was very spacious and comfortable. The bed was comfortable. I enjoyed going down in the morning to get a good cup of coffee, fruit and a bagel (there are other items as well, but this is what I got.) It is an older hotel, but bright and airy with lots of natural light and plants all around. The refrigerator in the room was a little loud at night, so I just wore ear plugs and then slept well. Overall, it's not a fancy hotel by any means, but more than adequate. I recommend it.

The hotel was clean with good parking. Unfortunately, the beds terribly outdated and worn, which caused me and my wife to not get a good nights sleep, along with aches and pains. The room nor have air conditioning which caused a couple hot nights sleeping. If the beds are updated, it would have been a great stay.

Would not recommend if you want to sleep. Paper thin walls and very creaky floors. Due to this, we were woken up by the upstairs room at 6 am and then kept hearing loud stompings from both upstairs and next door. We asked the front desk staff to move, but they lacked to confirm if they did and give us a time, so we naturally missed the window to do so. After inquiring about this, they shrugged their shoulders and said they couldn't help and to request a 2nd floor room next time. Quite rude, sadly. We had to buy earplugs to sleep and we were happy to leave.

Conveniently located and VERY quiet. Rooms are outdated but roomy, and the beds are super comfy! Having coffee and pastries in the morning is a nice addition that not many other places include. Can’t beat the price.

Rude front desk: here, sign this. What am I signing? Read it! Rez was 2 people/4 days. One bath towel was all we had! Unacceptable! Continental breakfast was a sugar/carbo explosion 💥 Yogurt was all flavored (sugar)Oatmeal was flavored (sugar). Baked products were all white flour! Where’s the Greek yogurt or whole wheat/whole grain bread? The only protein was cold/super dry hard boiled eggs. Inedible! The room and bedding reeked of soot from the ancient fireplace. Our hair and clothes began smelling like we had been at a campfire. Unhealthy and uninhabitable The TV offered no option to download an app. The channels were limited and the picture was fuzzy- Unwatchable! The Wi-Fi only offered 1 bar of service. Could not make a phone call from our room! We left a day early. Waste of time/Waste of money! How does this qualify as a recommended 8.2 property? No way!

The property did not deliver what i purchased. I had reserved a 2 queen, balcony with a sofa bed and a fire place. I called before my when my reservations could still be cancelled to confirm my room and was told that was what I'd get and noted i would check in late. The balcony, fireplace, and sofa bed were missing. My son had to sleep on the floor. There front desk closed so i had no one to talk to. The next morning when i talked to someone they said there was nothing available, not even a roll out bed but gave me extra sheets. I tried to cancel my second day and then suddenly they had a 3 bed room.. But no fireplace and balcony.... For $20 more!! I explained how i understood the difference but i expect the same understanding that the first room wasn't what i had paid for. Did will talk to someone... Quick to charge me the extra $20 but no compensation for their mistake. Really unfortunately, i referred my family to a different place because they would also just get scammed for our reunion. I still haven't heard from the hotel...

Very nice location away from traffic and in very nice area. Conveniently located near 17 Mile Drive, and easy access to Hwy 1. Room was very clean, bed not as soft as others, but still comfortable. Will stay at this establishment again.

Best place to stay in Pacific Grove. My wife and I needed a place that was close to Carmel and Pebble Beach. Everything is in a 5-10 min drive with a 5 min walk to the beach. Pacific Grove is also a very nice and quiet town to stay in to get away from all the action.

Stayed here for years and always love it. It is out in a quiet neighborhood and a short walk from downtown Pacific Grove and we even walk into Monterey. The ocean is a few blocks away and even a lighthouse. It never changes and we love that.

I liked the hotel's location close to the Monarch butterfly sanctuary and not too far from the beach. Walking anywhere from the hotel was subject to no sidewalks, so one had to look for oncoming traffic and didn't feel safe to walk

I like this hotel because it is affordable and about 2 or 3 blocks to the ocean. It is a older hotel but they keep it clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. It is very quiet neighborhood and I feel safe walking around.

Comfortable 1 bedroom suite, complete with a kitchen and full size fridge. We didnt know to bring bathing suits, but saw people having a blast in the heated outdoor pool and hot tub. Decent breakfast selection. Great location.

The interior of the hotel is delightful with many skylights showering an indoor garden with light. Each room has a balcony. The pool is in an interior courtyard, shielding it from the wind, also a hot tub. Location is in a quiet neighborhood. Breakfast was generous with oatmeal, bagels, muffins, fruit, etc. Would stay there again!!

Clean, comfortable well located hotel. The breakfast was good, Eggs, fruit, yogurt, croissants, milk, OJ and good coffee. They had instant oatmeal, would have liked plain instead of only the sugary ones and dry cereal would’ve been a good option. Otherwise the breakfast was good. We would stay again.

Property near the ocean and handy to downtown Monterey. Probably very nice at one time, but needs updating. Plenty of parking. Needs more outlets for charging, electronics, etc. "Continental Breakfast" was much nicer than we expected including eggs, fresh fruit, delicious pastries.

Large comfy clean room with a fireplace! We enjoyed a fire & hot tub every night! Helpful staff. Nice amenities. Breakfast was ok but I’d like it if cereal was offered.
