Stayed in a historic room - so much charm on the property. It was built to be a YWCA campsite. If you know and expect that going In, you will love It. If you are expecting luxury and modern accommodations, this Is not the spot for you. Amazing property and I liked/knew that the rooms would be old (built in the 1930s), small, and without TVs so none of that bothered me. However, I think two people in a double bed room would be TIGHT. There are no fans or AC and since I stayed in August, the rooms were a little hot. I was on the second floor so I didn't mind opening the windows, but would not have felt safe doing so on the first floor. Also, then some mosquitoes got in and I had ants in my shower. Walls are also very thin.

Asilomar has been a go to for many years, and this time around the room was even better then expected spent a great birthday/anniversary at the location. Parking can be a bit tricky but other than that staff very accommodating, breakfast (good), room good and balcony was good. Highly recommended if you enjoy the woodsy feel and listening to the ocean waves…

NO AC! I wish that was posted on here. I would have never booked if I would have known. Rooms were very outdated and dirty.
