For the price listed, it was not the greatest. That being said. It wasn’t bad. Just not at currrwnt price. Checking was a breeze, finding it wasn’t too hard, parking was fine. The room had some wear and tear to its doors (peeling noticeably), its ceilings (old water damage spots). Also no elevators , with an upstairs room was a little difficult, would be great to see more assisted rooms on the second floor. With a bad foot, it was not pleasant using stairs

Great, quiet, clean, property very near the shore and golf courses that are in the area. Love it. Only negative thing I can think of is when it gets full you may have to park on the street, but it's not very far, so not too bad!

It was okay for what we paid. Good location and bed was clean, but the shower/bathroom were not that great and the carpet was damp and dirty. Okay for one night but wouldn’t recommend it for multiple nights.

Room was spacious and the beds were comfortable. However, there was an odor in the room despite leaving the door open for fresh air. There was still hair from pervious renter in the bathtubs and found wood chips in between our blankets. No extra outlets on bedside to charge phone.

There was hair shavings in the shower and bathroom floor. Dust on the bed frame. Hair underneath the pillows on the bed. Roof had cobwebs. Room had a horrible odor. I had to wipe down and clean the room myself.

The floor was extremely dirty and the bathroom had old soap scum all over the shower. We had to clean the shower are selves in order to take a shower. At times the floor will get a weird moisture like feeling. We all had to wear socks. My son ran back and forth and the bottom of his foot was black.

There was a big brown ball of who knows what under one of the beds we didn’t touch it but we’re grossed out. There is no AC so it was very hot and smelled of mildew as well it was pretty off putting.

When we checked in we heard a tapping noise right above the office, so we thought that might be some maintenance going on. They gave us our room and said it was right above the office. The room did not have a name but it should have been termed the "woodpecker room." We could have requested a different room and done fine, so that's on us, but this one had an ocean view so that was nice. Luckily the wood pickers didn't make noise overnight, but they started up around 8:00 a.m. They had a couple hindred holes in the wall right above our patio door. See pic.

Everything was basically fine with the service and cleanliness, but the property itself needs some pretty significant updates, particularly in the areas of plumbing and electric. There is no easy access to AC or USB outlets for charging devices near the bed. The property was clearly built before this was a problem, but should be fixed for modern travelers. As for the plumbing. It's just terrible. The handles in the shower were rusted, the tub didn't appear to work at all, and the shower temperature itself varied from about 80 degrees to about 130 degrees often in less than 3 seconds. That was maybe the most adventuresome shower I've had that didn't involve a real waterfall.

A very great location. Very quiet, very accommodating. There was plenty of restaurants shops within a mile radius however, the beds were very uncomfortable. But overall, a very good stay!

The location is very good, easy short walk to the ocean and easy driving distance to the cute downtown area. Staff was pleasant. Hotel is somewhat dated; they still use keys, for instance, and shower tile is from 80s. Price was quite reasonable

Loved the location and proximity to the ocean (we walked down for the sunset multiple nights). Room was spacious and had a small peek through the trees to the ocean. Beds were hard and it hurt to sleep on my side. Normally, I can handle hotel beds, but this one was just really uncomfortable. Shower had very little water pressure and there was a light out at the vanity. Yes, this place is one of the old spots, but it could use some updating.

We stayed in room 211 which was at the end of the building allowing for both a front and side sliding glass doors. It was so nice allowing the ocean breeze to blow in, and very calming hearing the surf at night. The room was nice and neat with microwave, refrigerator, tv, and king size bed. We will be staying again during our next visit.

The staff were excellent but the overall stay was just ok. It’s really bright in the rooms with no way to cover the shutter blinds from the outside lights that are on all night and the beds are uncomfortable.

Great parcial ocean view from our room; the housekeeper did a great job cleaning our rooms and very friendly. The lobby staff were very helpful and friendly. Will continue to stay at the Olympia Lodge every time we visit this beautiful area.

The room and the ambiance was standard. However, after only a few minutes, we realized the toilet in our room did not work. When we tried to use it, it overflowed. There was no one to call to fix it because the lobby closes early. There was no maintenance number to call. We could only leave a voicemail, but we wouldn't have gotten help until maybe the next morning when we checked out. Because we were only staying one night, it didn't seem worth it to leave a voicemail. We let the front desk staff know the next morning, and they felt very judgemental even though we were the ones that were very uncomfortable all night, not having a bathroom.

Terrific location! A few minutes walk down to some incredible trails by the ocean, and short drive into the heart of the town. It’s not a brand new property so the furnishings are a bit dated, but for the area and the price it’s a great deal. We even walked out of our room one morning to see a deer a few feet away! The employees were all kind and friendly, and were able to accommodate an early check-in.

This property was super cute and in a lovely area in Pacific Grove. It’s an easy walk to the beach and close to the shops in Pacific Grove. We loved sitting on the balcony and hearing the ocean waves at night.

Convenient location with a short, beautiful walk to the ocean. The hotel is an older, very "west coast beach" style which may not be for everyone but definitely was what we wanted. Highly recommended.

Room could use updating. Mattress is very old and in need of replacement, VERY uncomfortable. Staff are very nice. Continental breakfast comes in a box, that consists of a plain croissant, stale pastry, single Babybell cheese, not the continental breakfast we were expecting, or comparable to other hotel offering a continental breakfast.

Stayed for one night at the wonderful Olympia Lodge. Amenities were ok just for a night and for the price, however I probably wouldn’t book again. Recommend bringing your own pillows and towels. Breakfast was a stale croissant and a baby bell cheese.

This is a good “value” property in pacific grove. Right on lighthouse Ave, next to a good burrito bowl place for east and quiet meals. Don’t expect ocean views, rooms are spacious and beds were comfortable. Box breakfast and cinnamon flowered coffee. (Not our favorite, but you can always use coffee maker in room). This is a 70’s era structure with open stairs and sliders for entry vs regular doors. Bathrooms are dated but clean. Small fridges in room. Would return based on location and price.

Our family room was very spacious for 2 adults and 2 teenagers and the beds were comfortable. Lovely area to stay in, close to walking/running along the coast. The breakfast box could have been better, please replace the dry croissant with a banana.

Felt cottagy and homey. Great balcony with water view. Convenient location to pacific grove and monterey sights and 17 mile drive. Frig and microwave in room, as well as a little sink in "kitchen" area. Gave great boxed breakfast with croissant, cookie, cheese, and fruit, coffee, and juice boxes to grab. Would have liked to stay there again.

Only entry or window is a sliding glass door, which is a problem with no air conditioning and wanting to keep a window open at night. Free breakfast, but only 8-9am and don't dare ask for coffee before 8am.

An amazing experience!! Beautiful room, beautiful view! Really enjoyed the breakfast. Best value in California. A word of caution about Pacific Grove, however: parking in the main part of town is a trap, where the city gives outrageous fines for any car not perfectly within the lines. Otherwise, amazing place.
