Hotel California is a great, adults-only place to stay and relax in Palm Springs. Walking distance to Koffi and nearby restaurants but still quiet and not crowded. Easy parking, lovely kitchen / breakfast / snack area, beautiful pool and jacuzzi. Will definitely be back!

We actually liked the property as it was much smaller and convienent for us. We liked that it was adults only so it was much quieter. We appreciated the microwave, toaster,mini fridge, snacks in the room and coffee maker in the room and the acess to the kitchen and snacks in the common area of the hotel. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. The one drawback was that parking was a little tight, however we will definetly be back and we enjoyed ourselves immensely.

Wonderful staff! Very cute boutique hotel and they offer lots of amenities. Everyone was so welcoming and accommodating. Pool and hot tub were great. Location is close to downtown and some beautiful hiking spots. Just wish the room had a full length mirror, that’s nice to have when traveling. Definitely would come back. Thank you to Tracy & Maria.

I love the small environment and very intimate setting. The staff here is amazing. I did not know what to expect. I really thought this was just a regular hotel but it is far from that. There is a kitchen that is open 24 hours with snacks. The pool is heated and there is a lounge room with movies for you to bring back to your room. I can’t wait to come back and spend more time here

Just simple accommodating. Walking distance to downtown shopping and food. Or walking distance to the Supermarket.

We LOVED this hotel and are already planning our return! The staff were so friendly and welcoming it made us feel instantly at home. The courtyard area is lovely - we honestly spent half our trip happily hanging by the pool. I adored the attention to detail - the kitchen is fully stocked, the pool has everything you would need to enjoy it, great snacks provided, etc. You just realllllly feel taken care of in a way I haven’t really felt at a hotel before. Book this place!!!

The office staff was very friendly and helpful! We really enjoyed our stay here and the ambience of the pool area and patio. It was also nice to be provided with snacks and drinks in our room. The only suggestion I would have would be to invest in new bath towels and patio lounge chairs. Thank you for a relaxing few days!

When we first checked in totally helped us out cuz I had the month wrong. The whole staff was excellent!! The property was clean and very beautiful if you like nature like we do. Going to stay there again for sure!

As a retired general contractor I did maintenance for hotels and residences, old habits die hard, when walk on a site I look for things that need to be repaired, I looked over Hotel California during our stay. Site was spotlessly clean, landscape well taken care of, unit my wife and I stayed in was perfect, clean and in good shape, my wife is very picky and she was happy. Linda was the onsite Manager and she was great,got the site tour, and answered our questions. Was always available.

The community kitchen that is open 24/7 is more than well stocked for breakfast. If you desire to cook or have your own food the kitchen provides all the accoutrements you need. Warm pool and even warmer hot tub is lovely along with the overall sweet garden feel of the pool area. Rooms are comfortable. It might be nice if they consolidated a couple rooms to make a suite as all rooms are small. Only changes I would recommend is to upgrade pillows and tub/shower could be upgraded. Great home base for getting to know the Palm Springs area.

Though built a long time ago (1940's) the hotel has been well updated while retaining the rustic atmosphere. Everything is well-maintained and the staff is great. The location is also very convenient for checking out local attractions and restaurants.

Wonderful little place to escape to. Everyone was so very nice and helpful, and the location is great as the property is convenient to downtown. I enjoyed talking with one of the managers and learning the property's history. They provide continental breakfast, coffee and tea 24/7, and snacks. Beautifully landscaped hide-away, which was lit by votive candles all around one night and tiki torches another. We found the bed to be a little too firm, and the pillows were a bit lumpy. There were spares, but they were quite firm.

Floors were filthy--I walked barefoot and a few minutes later the bottoms of my feet were black. Also they launder the sheets in detergent that has a really strong odor and it made it almost impossible for me to sleep on them--I had to cover the pillows with my tee shirts. The pool was generally murky and in need of skimming/cleaning. The bathroom is in need of an update, for sure.

The building was older than I thought when we first arrived, but it has a charm about it that really grows on you! The staff was very attentive and the bed was the best ever! It was small and quiet also, all pluses. There were amenities in the room and there was nothing that we were missing. I would stay there again for a short stay.

This is a small botique hotel and we really enjoyed our 4 night stay to start off the new year. The staff is wonderful and we liked the complimentary breakfast. The pool was nicely heated and the hot tub was very nice. We stayed in room 15 and the bed was really bad. It was sunk in the middle and my husband who had his hip replaced a couple months ago was miserable. The most comfortable seating table and chairs were right out side of our room and most mornings we'd wake up, still in our pjs and open the drapes to people staring in at us. Very awkward. I'd love to go back if we stayed in another room with a better bed.

Felt at home staying at this hotel. The Manager was so kind and thoughtful. She really made our experience and first visit to Palm Springs memorable. The hotel has a vintage charm that is really quite unique. The all inclusive snacks and refreshments was such a nice touch. I really can’t say enough about this place. Definitely my favourite place i’ve stayed.

From the moment we arrived the host was amazing , he was kind and offered free drinks and a tour. The hotel is small and beautiful. The room had 2 beds , small kitchen and a bathroom. We had issues with the safe but that was resolved quickly. There was a free breakfast that you can select and take to your room. We would stay there again in a heartbeat. The only thing that would improve the stay a little better would have been an extra chair in the bedroom .

I was pleasantly surprised with our stay at Hotel California. The staff accommodated our late check-in right around 9pm with ease and our 'little late' check-out around 11. The staff is SUPER friendly. The complimentary snacks are phenomenal and the coffee is the community room is the best that I have had so far. I would highly recommend this property while in Palm Springs.

I could have had a wonderful weekend until I asked at 3 pm the manager when can I get my room cleaned? he answered me very sarcastically why didn't you put your sign on the door? that's how we know when to clean... first of all, its a very small and remote motel with a maximum of 8/9 rooms and there was just 5 people at the motel...there was no sign whatsoever in the room to out on the door, it was just a very unfriendly answer and I will never recommend that place, for the price I paid $800 for two nights and be pushed away because my question was stupid `

Great quaint little boutique hotel. Very comfortable and relaxed environment. Only issue was we arrived at 10:00 pm and there wasn’t anyone there to check us in. Called many times and finally got someone to answer and give us check in instructions at about 10:45. Or really wasn’t that big of a deal thankfully and the rest of our stay made up for that little snafu. Very nice friendly staff. We’ll definitely stay here again.

What a wonderful little hotel! If you're looking for hot action, this may not be the place. But if you'd like to chill in a beautiful, comfortable room then trip a few steps down by the beautiful, relaxing pool and sip hand made margaritas, this is the place for you. Oh, and the staff at Hotel California are literally the nicest, most accommodating hoteliers I've ever come across. We loved them, we loved this place, and we'll be back!

We LOVED this hotel and are already planning our return! The staff were so friendly and welcoming it made us feel instantly at home. The courtyard area is lovely - we honestly spent half our trip happily hanging by the pool. I adored the attention to detail - the kitchen is fully stocked, the pool has everything you would need to enjoy it, great snacks provided, etc. You just realllllly feel taken care of in a way I haven’t really felt at a hotel before. Book this place!!!

It was a great location to either head up to downtown Palm Springs or out to Rancho Mirage/La Quinta areas. Relatively close to the airport without being in the flight path. Would definitely stay again.

Hotel California is a great, adults-only place to stay and relax in Palm Springs. Walking distance to Koffi and nearby restaurants but still quiet and not crowded. Easy parking, lovely kitchen / breakfast / snack area, beautiful pool and jacuzzi. Will definitely be back!

Hotel California in Palm Springs is a delightful place to stay. It's a convenient drive to downtown. My room was very clean and comfortable and they include a lot of amenities like snacks, water, and soda. The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. Breakfast consists of prepackaged muffins, toast, cold cereal, yogurt, some fruit, coffee, and tea. There's a common kitchen and barbecue as well. The freezer is stocked with ziplock bags of ice, which is a nice touch. The pool area is nice with chairs and some tables around. Some of the rooms have their own seating area outside of their room. The only thing that kept me from giving this 5 stars is that the property is on a somewhat busy street, so there is traffic noise when you're hanging out at the pool. It was quiet in my room, but just not as tranquil as I would like outside. Fortunately, there isn't a stop sign or stoplight nearby, so the traffic just goes by, and it's not going particularly fast because the property is right near a sharp curve in the road. Aside from the noise of the cars, I thought that Hotel California was fantastic!

We absolutely loved our stay at the Hotel California. It was relaxing and magical; the first things we noticed when we walked through the gate were all the hummingbirds floating around. The staff was so friendly and helpful. At night, they light a bunch of candles all around the courtyard. The hotel is small, so we had the hot tub and pool all to ourselves a few times. And the location was convenient to the airport, hikes, and downtown. There was a complimentary bottle of wine waiting for us at check-in, and they have a happy hour every afternoon. If we ever visit Palm Springs again, we will definitely stay here again. Our friends staying at nearby hotels were jealous of ours!

I was pleasantly surprised with our stay at Hotel California. The staff accommodated our late check-in right around 9pm with ease and our 'little late' check-out around 11. The staff is SUPER friendly. The complimentary snacks are phenomenal and the coffee is the community room is the best that I have had so far. I would highly recommend this property while in Palm Springs.

Beautiful small hotel. We were so happy to have use of the heated pool in the middle of January. The staff is lovely and the rooms are very nice too. There are lots of free snacks and beverages available which was extremely convenient. A wonderful value for the price. We would definitely stay here again if we return to Palm Springs.

I love the small environment and very intimate setting. The staff here is amazing. I did not know what to expect. I really thought this was just a regular hotel but it is far from that. There is a kitchen that is open 24 hours with snacks. The pool is heated and there is a lounge room with movies for you to bring back to your room. I can’t wait to come back and spend more time here

Wonderful little place to escape to. Everyone was so very nice and helpful, and the location is great as the property is convenient to downtown. I enjoyed talking with one of the managers and learning the property's history. They provide continental breakfast, coffee and tea 24/7, and snacks. Beautifully landscaped hide-away, which was lit by votive candles all around one night and tiki torches another. We found the bed to be a little too firm, and the pillows were a bit lumpy. There were spares, but they were quite firm.

I love this place! It is well located to downtown Palm Springs. The rooms and surrounding areas were very clean and the staff was very welcoming and ready to assist anything you need. I also appreciated the breakfast that had a good selection of great food. I will definitely stay there again!

We had an excellent reception and upon arrival when they found out, it was my birthday they gave us a few extras that made the trip extremely pleasant. It was wonderful and we truly appreciate the help and the people there. Very clean and welcoming . Above and beyond expectations.
