The room was clean, modern and with all of the basics. I met my husband there for his second night and he assured me that it was clean and didn't smell bad. Well, my husband can hardly smell anything! When I arrived and met my husband outside, his clothes had a really funny, not-good smell, like my grandparents old house. And sure enough, it was the room! Now granted, I have a very acute sense of smell, more than most. Opening the windows to air it out helped a bit. After a while, I got used to it and was able to sleep ok. I did need to wash all of my clothing upon returning home. It was clean, and the grounds were lovely with planters full of flowers. And if your nose is like my husband's, you won't even notice the old-building smell!
