Hotel was fine for a quick overnight stay before cruise. The pool is not heated (in March at any rate), but we did use the hot tub for a bit. Breakfast was pretty good for a continental style breakfast and service was great.

Front desk staff were excellent! Everything we required was at the hotel. Breakfast buffet was very good, plenty of variety. You could also order from menu. Shuttle service to the cruise terminal was streamlined and organized by reservation.

This is 3rd time staying here for the event "Conquer the Bridge Run/Walk. Our only complaint really is the elevator situation that has persisted all 3 years. At least one is not working, this year two. There are no stairs available to take below 3rd floor. 3rd floor stairs exit directly to the outside. There is no way to access up from 1st floor inside the building. We take the stairs whenever we can. This will mean we will find a new place to stay next year on Labor day as we will continue to attend event as long as we can.

All was good at this property but for a hotel this size, the elevators are not acceptable. I would have given a 5-star review, but trying to use this painfully slow elevator will leave you frustrated. And yes, there was only one working elevator out of four. Not acceptable when there are several floors.

This property is in need of various updates. Starting with the elevator, there were only 2 out of 4 that were operational. Inconvenient taking 10 minutes to get upstairs with long elevator lines. The inside of the hotel upstairs smells old and the room was a bit beat up. Beds were comfy. I booked a double queen room and just got two double beds, not queen beds. Parking is not as bad as inside LA. But when I parked up front I was harassed a few times by homeless men in the hotel area. Pool is on the second floor and heated and hot tub is nice. Pool bathrooms were dirty every time we visited.

In the room there were several issues: the blackout curtains didn’t close leaving a 1.5 foot gap because one was stuck and without a wand; there was only 1 hand towel and no wash clothes; the phone wasn’t working; the TV wasn’t working. After contacting the front desk on my personal phone, a repairman came and fixed the TV (Housekeeping unplugged it), the blackout curtain unstuck, and the phone volume fixed. My room keys were activated for only 1 night instead of the 2 nights I’d booked creating difficulty because only 1 of 4 elevators worked and there were many guests (cruising) with lots of luggage crowding the elevator making getting from 8th floor to front desk to get new keys. The 2nd night I asked for housekeeping to bring me the needed towels/wash clothes and after contacting front desk twice and waiting over an hour, at 9:40pm, I told front desk to cancel housekeeping because I was going to bed!

Although the view was fantastic, the room was very old and in need of repair. Lots of stains on the carpets and walls. We asked for towels several times and didn't receive them. Thus was after we asked ug our room could be cleaned that day and it was not. Such a bummer!

Worst hotel we've ever stayed in. Expedia should drop them as it is such a terrible hotel and reflects on Expedia. We are experienced travellers and needed a one night stay between cruises. It was so bad there was either human or animal feces on the floor of the elevator. We had a broken security bar on the terrace patio door leading to our room that anyone could get to. We will never stay at a Crowne Plaza again. We are questioning Expedia's commitment to quality as well

This hotel is totally outdated. Will not stay there again. Rooms were dirty. Hair in bathroom from occupants before. The hallways slope in the middle. The carpet is well very old. You can see the spaces underneath the door. Very insecure.

Room had ridiculously loud ac unit. Sounded like a diesel generator. They sent a maintenance person immediately. He couldn’t fix. Place was sold out so they couldn’t get me another room. This was a great experience. Very large rooms (especially for the LA area), solid daily breakfast, VERY kind and attentive service, and good amenities. The rooms are dated, but very clean. The employees really set this location apart. Every person we interacted was kind, attentive, and very helpful. A very family friendly space nestled in a cute and safe neighborhood. Enjoyed our stay!

We stayed here for one night only based on location. The rooms need to be updated and the floor had considerable sagging, which was concerning. Only one bath towel was provided for 2 guests which we did not realize until early the morning of our departure. The desk chair is literally trash.

Close to marina for cruise terminal. However, I checked in late evening and obviously was checked into a sub-par room. Someone else had been in it and left their wrlcome note on the bedside table, that I did not see until the morning. The toilet did not flush properly, a constant humming noise outside, lampshades askew, and a very tired looking room with many chips on furniture edges. Also the room was very cold, I could mot get the heat on, and the outside of the windows are filthy, which you could not see in the dark.

This is a great location if you’re looking for a hotel close to the cruise port. It’s actually within walking distance of you choose to walk, but they also offer a shuttle that’s $11 pp. There are multiple places to eat w/in walking distance which makes it very convenient when you’ve been traveling all day. The front desk staff was very friendly and efficient. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel if you’re staying in the area or looking for something close to the cruise port.

We stayed 5 days for a family graduation. House keeping only did our room twice, even though we asked repeatedly for service. Had to ask for towels and toilet paper. There were numerous cleaning staff on our floor but still no service. I understand that for the most part this hotel caters to cruise ship passengers who only stay one night. For the cost of the 5 day stay, we would have expected at least to have our room properly taken care of. The staff at the restaurant were very friendly and welcoming. This was the highpoint of our stay here.

Check in was the worse experience ever! A wait list of many pages were made for guests to check in. A charge on my card that was to be a hold was put through as a charge. Even upon check out they confirmed the reversal. It’s now being disputed. I understand the hotel team were busy, however, we felt they could have been more friendlier and need to work on their attention to detail! I can say, the rooms are nice and shuttle to the cruise port is convenient.

Stayed at the Crowne Plaza San Pedro twice both leaving for and returning from a cruise. Could not have had a better hotel. This hotel is absolutely perfect for those leaving from the nearby San Pedro port for cruise ships or whatever in the area. The port you leave from is only five or six blocks away and the hotel has two shuttle buses taking people to the port. This hotel also has a lovely bar and restaurant in it, open in the morning and evening. We got a quick bite there both times and it was a live saver to have decent food in the hotel. There's also quite a few excellent restaurants near by including the legendary mexican restaurant The Green Onion and a legendary world class Italian Restaurant, all within a rock's throw of the front door. The best thing we experienced about the Crowne Plaza was the staff. Every front desk person we experienced was awesome, great attitude and extremely helpful. Also the assistant manager we encountered both times there might be the best I've ever seen in the hospitality business. Both times we were there, the assistant manager was dealing with difficult circumstances (including a parade shutting down the street outside the hotel while dozens and dozens of cranky cruise goers were quite whiny with him) and he went above and beyond to keep people calm and take care of the hotel's guests. Really the best possible place to stay if you're going to take a cruise from the San Pedro port.

We arrived early and the room wasn’t ready yet, so they stored our luggage and we went for a walk. They called us when the room was available and we came back to complete the check-in. I really liked that we didn’t need to sit in the lobby waiting. Check-in was very fast, efficient and friendly.

Some staff nice, some rude. Hotel pretty clean. The room looked a lot nicer in the pictures than it really was. Area around hotel was ok, a little dodgy. I stayed here because of the reasonable price of a room with a “suite”. Next time I’ll pay the extra $150.00 / night to stay somewhere nicer in a nicer area closer to downtown. This place is a solid 20 minute drive from anywhere.

Very convenient walk to the cruise terminal along a pathway. Pool was a bit cool but I guess its off season for it. Check in went smoothly....was given a suite which was very roomy with lots of windows as it is a corner location. Restaurants are close by..went to Green Onion Mexican Restaurant and it was really good....busy but no wait to get a table. Would certainly book Crown Plaza again when in the area

Check in was terrible. A lot of cruisers stay here and instead of letting them in when their room is clean they make you wait till 4. That’s 100 people waiting in the lobby for hours. The bar/ restaurant was not open during this time. The shuttle was very nice. Dinning/bar staff was very nice and the food was good

We stayed here to be close to our cruise the following day. It’s an easily walkable distance, but the hotel also offers a quick shuttle over in the morning for $5 a person if you prefer (or don’t want to deal with your luggage.) The afternoon we arrived, we also walked down to tour the USS Iowa — a decommissioned battleship — which was very cool. The hotel is located in Little Italy, so there were some nice restaurants a stone’s throw away, and it’s a cute area. Breakfast was the same pretty standard continental buffet that some hotels offer for free, so I thought it was kind of pricy at $25/person, even if it was all-you-can-eat. The hotel staff gave me two free breakfast cards which I appreciated, so my kids ate and I skipped. The room was clean, quiet, and safe, even if some of the furniture was a bit aged and worn. Beds were comfortable, and we all got a good night’s sleep.

This a a great hotel for staging prior to a cruise out of Los Angeles. The area around the hotel is a little depressed and the restaurant outlook is not great. The hotel restaurant has pretty good food and the buffet breakfast is good.

I stay here because I was taking a cruise from the nearby port however my room overlooked the garbage and pool chemical areas, the area was poorly maintained or kept clean with a bad odor, my room lacked a closet for hanging clothes, no hair dryer and half of the light bulbs were burned . Next time I’ll stay at Long Beach hotels and use an Uber to the San Pedro cruise terminal
