The young man at the front desk could not have been nicer, very helpful! The facility is aged and the AC was just a wall unit. Everything was clean. The only complaint was breakfast, cereal, milk, yogurt, coffee, Tang, apples and sweeteners. …not worthy of being called A continental breakfast. It’s a good value, but it’s not going to be a place that sets any high bars.

Didn’t like the location of the wall air conditioner in the very back of the room near bathroom. No elevator for 2nd floor. Staff was very polite. Room was clean. Quiet location. Continental breakfast was great to start the morning off.

I appreciate staff carrying my large luggage upstairs as I have a weak wrist at the moment. Unfortunately there is hotel construction going on & workers are using a cutting tool in the parking lot blowing dust everywhere.

The pool was closed and filled up with dirt, the bath shower had black mold and caulking was broken. The “continental breakfast” was very sub par and the coffee urn not filled. There is ease of access and it is on Main Street. In the AM the cleaning staff we’re very friendly and accommodating and even offered to help my wife with luggage down the stairs. We will not be back.

The photos depict a clean and recently remodeled hotel, but the reality was far from it. Our room was absolutely disgusting, with dust and stains on the walls and baseboards. The shower and tub were moldy and clearly hadn't been cleaned since the last guest. To make matters worse, the remodel was poorly executed, leaving large gaps between the floorboards and bathroom tiles that were barely adhered to the walls.

We booked this as a place to stay for a night after I had just gotten out of the hospital in Durango. We walked into the room and the smell of chemical cleaning products was overwhelming. Even my husband got nauseous and a headache. The front desk gal was very nice and would have refunded us if we hadn't booked through hotels.com (The booking was non-refundable.) She even offered for us to see a room in another building that a different cleaning lady cleaned. Unfortunately, the place was dark and old and just not welcoming. We opted to find another hotel. We should have just spent the extra $40 in the first place, instead of wasting $86 on a room we couldn't use and having to get another room at another hotel. Ugh. When are hotels going to learn that chemical cleaning product smell does not equal clean, it equals toxic!

Got the last first floor room, by agreeing to take a Pet Friendly room. We had no Pet. Room was pretty worn. Beds noisy when you moved felt like sleeping on cardboard. Dark room one lamp. Advertised breakfast more like continental breakfast. Never did see ice machine/vending. Won’t stay again!

It was quite noisy where we stayed. We could hear guest next door and upstairs, and teenagers talking and cursing loudly in the early morning. The room smelled bad when we checked in. The AC didn't work quite right. It was one of the worst places we've stayed at for the price we paid. Good thing we only need to stay for one night. Definitely not on our list if we're in Durango again.

Hotel room could use some upgrades. The shower had what appeared to be mold peaking through the pain on the celling. Room was very humid even though the outside temp was no higher than 70°. There were cracks in the vinyl flooring from it being a little uneven.

booked same day-expedia had two queens on the site. arrived at location to be told no more rooms with that config were available. Fine, we can make do with three guests. Pull out couch did not have bedding-front desk did not have access to bedding closet so had to use extra blanket and existing pillows to make it work. Front desk was apologetic and as helpful as could be but not a great experience.

Surprised by a manager requiring a cash deposit on a room already paid for. This is imposed on visitors from nearby towns. The clerk did not require it of me and he was very nice. However this surprise policy will cause me not to return.

This hotel is something of a scam. You have to provide 300 dollars in cash to actually check in. Yet the app or the hotel doesn’t make this clear. Once you’ve paid on the app there’s no way to get a refund if you show up without the 300 cash. A soft scam.

I was required to pay a $300 down payment, which they would only accept in cash. I was worried that I was getting hustled, especially when after coming back from the ATM to give them the deposit they had no way to give me a receipt. I was busy and so I took the chance, and they did give me my deposit back in the morning. But seriously ridiculous. I won’t stay there again if I have another option. Sad, because it used to be a great hotel.

Check in was terrible. Young Guy at front desk super rude. And was no help when there was an issue with reservations due to address input error on there end almost losing are room. Our room never got serviced the whole 4night we stayed there.a/c unit was not working correctly almost shutting off middle of night waking up to a freezing room. 5th year visiting Durango this the 1st bad hotel we have stayed at.

Whether this is on the hotel or third party, still insane. We were told that if you are “local” you have to pay a $200 cash deposit. I could not find this stated on the website, in fact it specifically says this hotel does not take cash payments. I’m not sure if the third party should be in charge of fixing this, or if the hotel needs to get in contact with them to fix this. We were also given conflicting information when we arrived. After telling us it was $200, he said he was actually $500 but was doing us this favor. I also asked if local just meant anywhere in CO and we were told yes, but when we said we lived in Denver and had a license to show it, that was not considered local. I’m not sure if it was just miscommunication, but it was confusing and not helpful. Someone needs to fix this information asap, especially because if you don’t get the cash you don’t get a refund on the room.

I didn’t give a review for the staff because it was quite different between checking in and the morning staff on check out. I give the gentleman that checked us in a 5 star and the gentleman in the office the morning of check out a negative 1 star. Also the rooms were clean but we had to air the room out because of the extremely strong smell if cleaning products.

Room was good, comfortable bed, refrigerator, good Shower & Air Conditioning. Noise level minimal. Breakfast was limited both in area to eat size wise and the variety of food selection also restricted, however the room cost was good...so they have to squeeze out a profit somehow. I would stay there again it worked great esp. for a business trip....it worked great 5 min from hotel where workshop was sited....@ 3 x's the lodging cost of the Quality INN.
