We booked this hotel as it had a swimming pool. On arrival we were informed it was closed as it was outdoors and therefore out of season. Clearly this needs to be highlighted on both Expedia and the hotels website. False advertising. The walls are paper thin. You can hear EVERYTHING your neighbor does or says. The in room water is a WHOPPING $5 per bottle. I have no idea it has been in the room. This is absolutely ridiculous considering the price we paid for the room. I will not stay here again. Finally there are renovations going on during our stay (16 March). It would have been nice to be informed of this fact before we booked. Not happy room 225.

Property was nice - but it is dated. the workout facility is very small and cramped....there are no signs for ice machines so have to look around. everyone working there was very nice and approachable.

The hotel check in was easy, though a later arrival and earlier checkout seemed short staffed. Everyone was very polite and knowledgeable. Plenty of parking, breakfast was nice and presented well. Room was in very good condition and housekeeping did a great job. We’d stay here again :-)

They made you sign a quiet policy and yet the other guest repeatedly slammed doors all night. As well as dogs barking all night. There was mold on the shower curtain.

Overall not bad, clean but older bath/shower. Only real issue was sheets were so threadbare that my pillowcases had holes in them. When I went downstairs to ask for replacements they had none. The girl at the front desk tried and found one wrinkled, clearly dirty case from the laundry room that she handed me - but needless to say I didn’t use it. They obviously need to invest in new sheets, otherwise fine for a night or two.

The hotel itself is pretty nice. The pictures are a little misleading because it looks like the pool is a rooftop pool with a great view, but its not. The pool was good, but wasn’t clean when we used it. There was a lot of hair floating around. The room was nice and a good size. It was 2 adults and a child staying in the room. The bathroom should definitely be bigger because its hard to open and close the door once you’re inside. The room looked like it had been cleaned prior to our arrival, but the carpet had a lot of animal hair. We noticed it because we were walking in our socks and when we looked they were covered in animal hair. We didn’t ask to switch rooms because we were exhausted and only there for the night. The extra blankets were super stiff and had hair on it also. Overall our trip to Mystic was nice, but not sure we would stay here again.

Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Room on 3rd floor was beautiful, and newly renovated. The bed was comfy. My only complaint would be that the room was not cleaned properly before we got there. There was lots of little hairs in the edges and corner of the bathroom and shower. There was also lots of dust in the room; on the top of the headboard, window sill, and telephone, etc. There was also a dirty bandaid on the floor in the hallway during our entire stay. I would absolutely stay there again though, but just would rather there will be more attention to detail when cleaning the facilities.

Hotel staff was wonderful. Lobby and rooms were spotless. The room was spacious, 2 double beds, L-shaped sofa, desk and chair. The bathroom however, was the length of the standard tub and less than 3 feet from the edge of the tub to the door. The toilet was squeezed into the end of that space. One literally has to step around and behind the door to close it! The shower was nice, plenty of hot water and pressure. The sink is located OUTSIDE the bathroom facing the ends of the beds. This means that one has to handle the door with unwashed hands to get to the sink area. GROSS! The beds were comfortable, but a bit high for those of us under 5'2". Breakfast ends at 9am, much too early, so we didn't partake.

Had a pleasant stay. The hotel is very close to Olde Mistick Village and Mystic Aquarium, and just a short drive to Downtown Mystic. We stayed in a two double bed room. The room was large, but oddly configured. Beds and a small bathroom are crammed to one side of the room with the bathroom sink being right in front of the beds. There’s a large sitting room with a pullout sofa and desk on the other side, but lots of wasted space. Would have been great if there was a table and chairs in that space. There is one tv that is shared between the two sections. The room would great for large families who need the pullout sofa and maybe some cots. Despite the odd configuration the room was clean and beds were comfortable.

The room was clean and spacious. The beds and pillows are very comfortable. The outdoor pool was clean. The only drawback is that the sink is outside of the bathroom; and both are located at the foot of the beds...so anytime you need to use the toilet and wash your hands - you could disturb the others.

So we stayed in double with my father, my husband and 3 kids. It fits 6 people, however, the bathroom wasn’t ideal. It’s small and the toilet is very close to the bottom of the floor. My father who has trouble walking and bending had a very hard time using it. Also, our floor had a weird smell to it, not the room but the floor. The pull out bed wasn’t that comfortable too but it’s a pull out bed so it’s what is expected. The room was very clean though and the staff was great. If we were to stay again it probably would be separate rooms for more space and because of the pull out bed.

Everything was good, just to complaints. One ( the room was next to the elevator so you heard that the entire stay) 2 ( you could hear people peeing just above you as if they were in your room)

Don’t stay here if you are disabled, especially if you and your companion are both disabled. Manager insisted my service Animal was a Pet charged me a security deposit for my Service Dig AND gave us a room with a bathroom that the door could not be shut when using the toilet because there was no place to step back from the door to close it- you had to go into the shower to do so. There was no place between the bed and the large a/c unit jutting out taking up all the space. For two disabled adults with mobility issues, having a bed that was so high we could not easily access it without standing on our luggage. It ruled our safety. Although the Manager was very unsupportive the front desk woman Amy and the Maintenance Man were very helpful and extremely kind. The Manager needs to take a course in ADA Compliance. She said she was giving us a very good room and gave us one of the worst room we have ever stayed in. The Hyatt is NOT what it once was. It had a kitchen area with no sink and no trash bin. Stay at a Hilton but forget Hyatt in Mystic. They violate ADA laws and the Manager iis passive aggressive.

Read the reviews of many places in the area, this one had good ones. Did not live up to the reviews. The Good: the room had a couch in one area, bed in the other. That was nice to be able to relax without sitting on the bed. The room was clean. The bad: the staff took forever just to check us in, then gave us rooms right next to the elevator even though we were some of the first to check in. They later said we requested rooms near each other, I didn’t care, and never asked them that, but they said they were looking for rooms near each other and the two by the elevator were the ONLY ones available; they didn’t say, “these rooms are by the elevator is that ok?” I would have expressly said NO. Instead they handed us key cards and I had to ask where to go. People were in the hall until after 11:00 pm and loud!! We ran the AC’s as long as we could to drown out the noise. But you cannot sleep with them running because it sounds like you’re in a cargo airplane, it’s so loud. Then the second night, dogs in the hall after 9:00 pm, barking! On checking out, we waited while they hunted down a bar of soap for a guest. Then dismissed me. We had high hopes. I don’t travel often, so this was supposed to be special. Getting in and out of the hotel parking lot was not always easy. And although they advertise “walking distance” to some of the attractions, there is no way to walk to them; You have to drive even though it’s 2-3 minutes, if that. There are other hotels in the area, go there!

Gonzo and rest of staff were awesome when i came to check in my room was not ready but i had an appt so Gonzo said we can check you in and hold your bags and note your acct of late check-in. "We will be ready when you return". And what a beautiful room i had. I will be back. Thank you team great job! Oh and also signed me up for rewards program.

I asked for the room to be cleaned and the cleaning person said that it was already completed, which it was not. I needed to request for more toilet paper and towels. I called early in the day to request an early check in and not one room was available, this has never happened in the any of my travels. We were always permitted to check in even if it was 30minutes early and this was not an option here. They said there was a restaurant, which there was not you could Order food but no restaurant on site, very misleading! I would not come back again nor would I recommend this hotel to anyone.

We missed our ferry to Orient point so got a last-minute reservation, and went and had dinner in Mystic and then drove to this property, so we got here at about 915, and the entire evening staff was all sitting in the office for a solid 8 to 10 minutes as we were standing, waiting to check in and another group of six people in front of us were all standing at the lobby, waiting to check in. When the people finally came out of the office, it looked as though they were having a dinner break with no one on the floor in the lobby. We easily could have taken all of the snacks and beverages from the open Area or for that matter thieves could’ve walked into the lobby. There really needs to be some evening shift re-training.

We needed to change rooms and staff went above and beyond to help us. Our stay was very great! Hyatt Place Mystic is perfectly located near attractions and the highway, making it the perfect place for us to stop mid-way when we travel to visit our son in NYC.

We stayed overnight and loved the proximity to downtown Mystic. We walked there and back and explored, shopped & dined in between. We didn’t make it to the aquarium, but that was literally a 2 min walk the other way. The staff we met were all lovely and helpful. From Jeff who grabbed us additional linens and towels to Zule at the front desk who showed us the best walking path and shared. a few other booking tips. Katie at check in was also very kind. Great quick trip and lodging. Hyatt Place is always dependable!

This was a great hotel for our family with 2 teens. We had 2 beds & a couch. It wasn’t fancy, but it was clean and felt comfortable. It’s not really walkable to anything, but it was all close enough to drive in a short amount of time.

The Hyatt is a nice looking modern hotel near everything. Check-in was easy. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The elevator was easy to get on. Our room was small and just big enough. This caused some awkward spaces such as behind the bathroom door making it hard to close. The shower had good hot water and water pressure. The breakfast Buffett was lovely. Lots of options. The food was fresh. Wednesday night 7:00-9:00 was happy hour with live music and some half price drinks. The bed was very comfortable. It was a pleasure to stay at this Hyatt!

We stayed at this property for one night—we were in town for a wedding. Our room was very clean and spacious. Breakfast was included in our stay and it was just okay, but it was busy all morning so maybe it just wasn’t our style. Would recommend for a quiet, convenient place to stay.

The hotel is very clean and comfortable. Shopping and dining options are very close and accessible. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. What we didn't like is the breakfast setup. The fact that breakfast is free is wonderful as are the breakfast options. But it is mass chaos getting breakfast. Guests are all crowded in the buffet area going all different directions and it feels very hectic. The staff does a great job keeping breakfast choices stocked however.
