Good place to stay, the only call out is their super strict adherence to closing the pool area at 8pm. While most other places keep their pools open until 10-11pm. Would have been nice to let the kids stay in the pool a little longer. When we travel we let our 6 year old stay up a little later and it would have been fun to not have to rush out of the pool.

The property was fine. Just a standard Holiday Inn. The hot breakfast was wonderful. The indoor pool was absolutely terrible. It was small, freezing and had the most slippery tile floor I’ve ever encountered. All 3 of my kids slipped while walking and my son split his face open with his fall. The manager even warned us before we went in. They really need to do something about it.

Staff was great, room was very comfortable. However, sitting by the window eating breakfast, the railing by the AC unit was very dirty so the view wasn't very nice. Pool looked greenish and 2nd floor was closed so exercise room was not avaiable

Good hot breakfast. Room was clean. Nice location near Mystic seaport museum. Only negatives - pool was really small (not really for swimming). Hallway had lots of food crumbs on it.

Had a quick staycation with my kids. Was able to check in early which was a plus. Room was clean. Had to get sheets and blankets for pull out couch from the front. But it arrived as soon as attendant could bring it. The pool area could use a fresh update! Its very dated. Hot tub/jacuzzi was no longer an option. They should update website. Wanted to work out but gym had a strong repugnant smell of mold. Breakfast was decent. Plenty of options. Workers were very friendly. All in all i would rate our stay an 7.5

We really love staying here.But When driving in to park, when there aren't enough spaces in front you have to drive around the to the back parking lot. From the front it turns into a very small and bmnarroe and twisting road to the back upper lot. At night its almsot impossible to see where your driving because its not lit. The back lot which has alot of spaces has one lonely light pole way to the back that is never lit, At all! Its very dangerous to have no lighting in the back, not only because its hard to see whereyour going but because anyone can hide and jump you at any time. Last year it wasnt lit and this yesr a year later amd its still not working. We had to oark jn the back twice this weekend and it was completely dark except for the light from the neighboring Rio restaurant. PLEASE HAVE THEM REMEDY THAT ISSUE. It is a safety issue.

Check in was good Check out the guy on our last day had an poor attitude - when I went to confirm the late check out I asked for the night before that was already granted he told me the guy should never had done one at all and cut it back half an hour When I asked home when the laundry was he neglected to tell me I would have to go back to home for the detergent Pool room had no air running in there at all it was oppressive (compressor is broken) There was to much colorín in the pool and hot tub Telephone cord broken Fan in bathroom extremely loud When I ask the service people just for towels and nothing else I didn’t get them For the price I paid this hotel is not worth it. I was very unhappy with the condition and disappointed in the service

Tiny pool no hot tub shown in pictures. Were only 4 chairs out at pool. Manager could make small improvements to make huge changes in reviews. As of right now i wouldn't stay here again even with the great location

Disappointed. Rug in room not vacuumed. Dirty bandage on floor. Wallpaper peeling off wall. Toilet paper and tissues looked like they were wet at one point. Exercise room was not vented, extremely stuffy and stunk. Positives, bed was ok and coffee downstairs was good.

Staff was wonderful , room was as dirty. We walked in and floor was sticky and dirty. Room darkening shade did not come all the way down and what did was torn and worn out you could see thru it.. the sun shade behind had a big black fat dead bug in the crease . The shower was a walk in and the who grout strip to walk in was covered in mold.. for over $ 500 I would have expected a much cleaner room.. the staff was very nice. When I brought this to who was at the fest he was very apologetic it said he didn’t have the authority to discount or do anything especially because I paid in full a head of time..

Reception area and food area was in good condition. Hallways and elevator were clean. Our room had scotch tape to fill holes in the window screen, the tape was flapping in the breeze. Bathroom was barely clean, hairs and mildew in the floor tiles, the sheets on the bed had stains.

Honestly I never write a bad review. We stay at holiday inn express all the time and thus specific hotel the room smelt soooooo bad. We told the manager to come down and he even said it was mildew. He said the hotel was booked so he couldnt move us.He did promise us points for a free stay at another hotel but Injust checked and no points . Hopefully the hotel will fix this.

I thought the bed was extremely comfortable in the room was very clean. The only downside was we were right next to the elevator. The good part of that was we didn't have to walk miles to our room. The bad part is every time the elevator went up or down our room vibrated.... we never said anything because I'm sure it happens all the time and we were so tired after working all day that we slept through it but be one if you get that room next to the elevator. The service was wonderful and welcoming, and it worked out very well for us and in the end, the elevator didn't matter, but I could see where it might have! The Mexican restaurant next-door was amazing.

We had a great experience here. The room was huge and very clean when we got there. The guy at the service desk was very helpful and friendly. The only thing that was unexpected was the pool wasn’t as big as we thought it would be but the kids still had a lot of fun!! I will definitely go back again.

Aside from lousy water pressure in the shower and outlets that couldn’t hold a plug, the room was wonderful. Very spacious and comfortable. Would absolutely stay there again. One complaint: low flow showers don’t work for ladies with long, thick hair. Took forever to get shampoo out of my hair, defeating the purpose.

The manager/front desk person was wonderful. But he was on his own so needed to run around looking for extra pillows and sheets for our pull out couch while also checking people in. He did his best and we are thankful for him. TV didn’t work. None of the 86 outlets in the room worked. Our room smelled like vomit that was doused in febreeze. Breakfast was actually good so a bit of a saving grace. Likely won’t stay again.

Spacious rooms, clean. The outlets were not snug though, and our chargers kept falling out of them. We tipped housekeeping daiky, but did not receive new bathroom cups in plastic, were short towels (no washcloths on 2 days), and it seems there was a theft of an item we had purchased as a gift for our granddaughter- a small package amongst the many packages lined up by the wall. No camera, so no proof. The breakfast was excellent downstairs, and the pool and exercise room were very good. Also the hotel is very well situated.

Checked In around 5pm on 4/27/23. The gentleman at checkin was great. He was welcoming, friendly, professional, explained all hotel amenities and times things like pool, hot tub, gym and hot complimentary breakfast. The hotel is modern and very clean. King bed room was spacious, very clean, modern and comfortable with nice amenities (mid-size fridge, microwave, coffee maker, iron & full size ironing board, safe and blow dryer). Only thing that would be nice is lobby bar for a drink but no points off since nice restaurant right next store and mystic village right across the street with many options including the Steak Loft 👍. Great location across street from mystic village/aquarium and easy access from highway. Would definitely stay again !!

Great location quick off interstate. Clean with big rooms. Disappointed with front desk staff. Keys weren’t set up before they gave them to us, didn’t have spare bedding for pull out sofa bed and no one answered front desk when called down to request bedding. We had a quick trip to the Aquarium and were excited to stay nearby and head back to the aqu in the morning. Service from front desk was kind, but seemed to be doing more than just his job. We thought it was probably an issue of understaffing, but wrote it off to an odd night. We hit the pool, which was over occupied with lots of families in the same situation we were. The chlorine was nearing toxic level for breathing, so front desk attendant opened the door and all the windows to prevent people from becoming ill. No towels to be had because the was no housekeeping at night? Everyone left dripping down the hallways and tiled floors. Unfortunately, the understaffing didn't end. There was a long wait for not so fresh of breakfast. No towels again. Made a request at the desk for towels and an incredibly rude front desk told us "maybe think first and don't go swimming with your kids". Terrible service. Emailed management to fill them in, and got a bland, vague, unsigned response. Not a typical stay at what should be a higher standard for a Holiday Inn.

Booked through Expedia, called hotel directly after to confirm the reservation made through Expedia, spoke yo man at front desk who confirmed reservation and asked our time of arrival…when we arrived no one was at desk for several minutes as we and another guest waited for someone to show up. Finally a man came from back wheeling a laundry tub, he seemed bothered we were there, he asked for my confirmation and replied it was cancelled because hotel was booked. When we told him we called directly he flatly said we did not. Hotel could use a customer service class. Cannot recommend this hotel, ended up at holiday inn 5 miles away with more professional staff!

The hotel was incredibly clean and staff was courteous and eager to help. Breakfast was good with a lot of options—- more than a continental breakfast for sure. Comfy beds. Hot shower. Climate control was good. Accommodations were better than expected. The only room for improvement is access. It was difficult to see getting in and out of the parking lot. Although the shops are walking distance it was difficult because you had to walk in the parking lot where visibility is an issue. These were mild inconveniences for those with certain mobility issues. We would stay again.
