When we arrived we were greeted by Tony right away. He was very nice and made us feel welcomed. this was our first time in Mystic so we did not know what to expect. I was happily surprised at how close we were to the attractions this quaint town had to offer. The only thing that was concerning was how dark the parking lot was at night. The evening we arrived I had to run out and get some groceries and practically ran to the car because it was extremely dark. There doesn't seem to be as many light posts on the side of the hotel than the front and back. If there was it was probably hidden by the tree and was blocked. That was our only concern. Other than that my mom, pup and I had a great time! :)

The hotel is well-placed,clean and has so many welcoming touches (games, books and hot drinks in a cozy lobby. The staff was kind, helpful, hard working and we appreciate their many efforts. We enjoyed the pool.

Property could use some updating. Pool was cloudy and small. We stayed in a king suite as a family of 5 and the pullout was a squeaky full size pull out, not a queen as expected. It was not a comfortable nights sleep. The room was clean, the staff was nice and very helpful. The breakfast was the shining star of the entire stay! Make your own waffle with a toppings bar helped to fix our night of poor sleep.

We chose this hotel for the pool and the pool was 90 degrees way too hot for the summer time, definitely disappointed with the pool other than that the stay was convenient and clean

The hotel was nice. Could be a little cleaner. The carpet was dam and smelled. The pool was disgusting which is a disappointment because we chose the hotel because of the indoor pool. Otherwise, it’s close to the aquarium and outdoor shopping area. The diner next door was great for breakfast.

The walls were paper thin, children running down the hallways all hours. Have quiet hours posted everywhere but don’t enforce them. Doors slam shut constantly. The breakfast was good, free cookies, coffee, tea and had a cocoa bar. Gym was ok some equipment was broken. Guy at desk was rude when i brought the remote down because it was broken. Very noisy. Lots of families with children.

We rented two room for my family of four. In one room, something was wrong with the frame of one of the beds. The slighted movement made it squeak loudly, making it hard to sleep. The desk chair was broken. If you leaned to the side, it would collapse and drop you. The body wash container in the shower was empty. An empty food wrapper was on the floor, next to the garbage can and there was random Skittles candy on the carpet. In the other room, there was a large, sticky, hairy something stuck to the bottom of the bathtub. It actually looked like feces. I brought all of these problems to manager. Even though the sign at the front desk said he was the manager on duty, he denied that he was and said another manager who wasn't there would have to address the problems. That manager never contacted me, but sent a PARTIAL refund to my credit card, without discussing that with me.

We generally stay at Hampton Inns and are very satisfied for the price. This hotel was not as nice as other Hampton Inn properties. The bath tub was very deep and slippery with only a small rubber mat provided to place in the bottom of the tub. Our room was supposed to be made up every other day, but that was only partially done. The trash was emptied and our used towels were removed along with the rubber bath mat. The bed was not made, towels and toilet paper were not replenished and the rubber safety mat was missing. A clean rubber mat was promptly delivered to our room when we requested it. The staff was pleasant and the breakfast was typical.

This hotel was absolutely disgusting. There was mold on the bathroom ceilings and floor. The carpet was gross. Down stairs in the lobby/breakfast area all the cushions to the chairs and counches were scratched up and worn. Saturday night the people in the room beside us were entertaining a party with loud music jumping around on the floor and screaming we called down to the front desk at 12:30 and asked that they do something the partying and loudness lasted until 2am. Went to Check out yesterday we told the manager on duty what happened not once did he apologize. We wanted to split our bill between two people he had no idea how to do that. Everything about our stay was just awful. I won’t chose that hotel again in my travels that’s for sure

The hotel lobby area looks ver nice but the room was rather worn out looking There was mold on the bathroom ceiling and the furniture was old and scratched. I could tell it had been cleaned well so that was good The pool was nice but the towels were the smallest and thinnest I have ever seen I will say all the staff were friendly and efficient

The room was clean but at check in and when i asked why the room was cleaned and did not et clean towels the desk did not infom me tgat rooms ane only cleaned every other day. If i had been informed it would been acceptable and we would have not been waiting and expecting the room to be cleaned and fresh towels.

The room had no towels, no hand soap and the bathroom floor was sticky. At breakfast the juices were water down way too much it didn’t taste like juice at all, there was also a puddle of water because a kid dropped his “juice” and they didn’t clean it.

A great example of a stellar Hampton Inn. Relatively newly renovated, good location, large room, and easy overall. My only caution is the pillows, they were terrible. Hard to call them pillows, more like tissues. But this is a wide-spread hotel complaint.

The staff was very friendly and attentive. The room was clean. The in-room coffee maker was broken but fortunately coffee is available 24/7 in the lobby. My biggest complaint is the noise level. We could hear normal level conversations in the rooms on other side of us. The worst part was that the doors slammed. there was no cushioning effect so doors were slamming late into the night and early morning. We did not sleep well. I won’t stay there again.

The property was beautiful, easy to accwss and had wonderful employees. The problem, much the same in other hoyels we have stayed in, was the noise from the AC/heating unit. It was loud and shut on and off throughout the night preventing the restful, peaceful sleep we were hoping for.

Excellent hospitality. Staff was friendly and responsive when we needed extra pillows and more tissues. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The sofa bed was premade and had a comfortable mattress. The breakfast buffet was fresh and had a variety of options.

When we arrived we were told that the hotel had overbooked the room type we reserved and that they would have to switch us to a King room with no guarantee that there would be anywhere for our daughter to sleep. After about five minutes of trying to switch us to a King room, we were placed in a two queen bed room, which is what we had originally booked. Only one of the two room keys worked. The side chair in the room was stained all over with some kind of substance. The rest of the experience was just fine. Room was comfortable.

The hotel was nice. The breakfast had many choices and plenty of room to sit. I was charged twice and have not been able to get a refund through Hotels.com or the hotel. I told them at check in that I prepaid. Two weeks later and the problem has not been taken care of.

We often stay at Hampton Inns while traveling in the U.S., and we have stayed at this particular location before. We enjoy the consistency between hotels and the beds are always very confortable. Our recent stay was less enjoyable. The young man who checked us in at the front desk was short and testy with us. Perhaps he was having a bad day. Breakfast was only adequate, and the coffee was extremely strong. Evidently, they only had the dark roast on that day. However, they filled BOTH coffee carafes with the same strength/brew. Guests in the dining room were commenting on this issue. I had a good laugh with the gentleman at the next table when he took his first sip!

We had an excellent stay. The room was clean and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. The staff were all friendly and efficient. The internet was down our second night but regular tv was just fine. I was amazed how close to everything the hotel is. It made for a convenient and stress free experience.

Hampton Inn Old Mystic is in walking distance to Old Mystic Village, near the Aquarium and just off 95, so pretty convenient. Dog areas are small, nearby sidewalks make dog walking possible. We were here to visit a friend in Stoneridge retirement, and that was a quick car ride.

Our room was clean and in good condition. The breakfast buffet had a nice selection: eggs, sausages, toasts, bagels, waffles, etc. Unlimited coffee and hot chocolate. The staff at the desk was friendly and helpful!
