The rooms are motel-style and a good value. The floors were new and attractive. The shower had nice pressure, but the hot water takes a few minutes and isn't very hot. There was a slight leak (maybe seal) on the tub faucet. The television was an older 32" model "dumb" TV. The pool looked clean even though we didn't use it. Breakfast is light consisting of juice, coffee, fruit and waffles. For a quick stay, not bad. Good economy and close to everything.

Hotel was decent. Staff was very friendl and super easy check in. Limited parking. Rooms were clean but small. Towels provided were also on the small size, takes 2 for an adult to dry and off and wrap up and were only provided 3 with 3 people staying in the room. We didn’t pack soap/ shampoo thinking toiletries would be provided. Had to run to Walmart down the street to purchase stuff to shower. Pool was small but clean but no towels available w out going into the lobby to request after the fact. Rented a king suite with a fold out sofa bed. No linens or pillow provided and the couch was very dirty and stained. There are wooden blinds with decorative curtains that don’t extend to close. The building’s outside lighting is great for safety but streamed thru the blinds making it impossible to sleep.. We gave up trying to sleep and left at 4am. Ok place to stay if you’re looking for a quick stop to sleep otherwise would not recommend. Will pay the extra to stay somewhere else next time.

Very quiet and Wendy at the front desk was super nice & took care of our needs. Pool area was clean and well maintained. I gave it 3 stars because of the zero protein breakfast, extremely low toilet seat, poor parking (most of it was an uphill walk to our room), and malodorous pillows.

I had to come to Florida for a funeral and it was last minute, so while I didnt really need anything super fancy, I obviously wanted something safe and clean. First with the good: It was generally pretty quiet and I never felt unsafe at all. The room was decently clean (except for laminate floor..when I first first got there I had white socks on and within a few minutes of walking around they were totally black) and everything worked properly. Staff was fantastic! The bad: there was a giant crack in side of the door and I could literally stick a pen through it, which meant several bugs were able to fly in at night when my lights were on. Online claims they have house keeping each day which they do not. Probably the most lacking continental breakfast I have ever experienced. Waffles, toast, cereal and oatmeal. Fruit consists of apples and small mandarins. No flavored creamer for coffee, etc. And the bed was rock hard ...I could feel every spring. If you are looking for somewhere safe and quiet, this is a good place for you. If you are looking for fancy...this probably isnt the place for you 😀

I regretted not spending a bit more for a better place. Cleanliness was the main issue. There was pet and human hair all over the bed linens. I saw multiple roaches in the bathroom area. You couldn’t have paid me to sit on the couch. It looked like a dog had lived on it for months. The only positive was the quick check in and polite staff.

This time at Hometown was a bust! First, us having to leave our room because of some fella with a gun Friday nite, not serving breakfast anymore because it’s “down season” as I was told Saturday morning - room was not cleaned very well and the pillows were old and lumpy- refrigerator was the best part still just like last time tho

I had a nonsmoking but when I came in it smelled like smoke. I seen 2 roaches and a spider. The covers had some type of stain on them . The shower curtain smelled sour like it’s been there 100 days and 100 nights which stunk up the whole bathroom. The Tv is extremelyyy small. I personally wouldn’t stay here again. It’s not worth the price at all. The best thing about my stay was the staff. They were all very nice & helpful.

A few good and a few bad - the check in clerk was very nice but the room looks nothing like in the images it was dingy. The towels looked like a mechanic had used them and they barely got a rinse very dingy and gross. The fridge had to be unplugged cause it was clanking and loud. Overall the bed was comfortable for a night sleep the area had some restaurants but it gets an F in cleanliness of the towels and linens.

The room looked good and clean when we first walked in, but the longer we were in the room we could see how dirty the floor was. The beds still had hair in them under the sheets and blankets. The next morning, we went for the “Continental Breakfast” and found out that the only options were waffles, toast and 2 flavors of cereal. The worst part was the other guests. They were very sketchy and didn’t seem very family friendly. More like the kind of people you would see at a trashy hole in the wall bar. I would just stay somewhere else if I were you.

Really when I look at a stay I look for price, safe location, hot water, comfortable beds and good AC/Heat. This location was a great price, location looked safe, really hot water, beds were comfortable and we had good AC. For me this property did meet what I look for in a place to stay. I will say the property does remind me of a newlyweds first home, but this is a motel. When I say a newlyweds first home I mean its put together with what they have available to make it a home or in this case a motel. The room does have a fridge and microwave which is a plus always. Room was all hardwood and tile. Granted the hardwood did have some areas needed some work as well as the grout in the tile. Chairs in the room were functional but not pretty. Beds were very comfortable for me, only had 2 pillows so I could have used a couple of more since 4 seems to be the standard. Plenty of TV channels. The room didn't have shades on the windows but instead shutters. When closed and the AC running it did have a little bit of a rattle noise. Didn't really bother me but could bother those that need it really quiet. Also, the door to our room did have a small gap that did allow light to come through. Again didn't really bother me but could bother others. Breakfast was extremely limited We did have some guests get into an argument so some yelling went on for a few minutes that woke us up but it didnt last long. Overall, I would stay at this property again. It works for what I need.

The staff is very kind and efficient. The lobby and room was clean. However, the bed is terrible. I dont like really and i mean really firm beds. So sleeping didnt go so well.

Room was spacious and a/c worked beautifully in the FL heat & humidity. Room had a microwave and large “mini” fridge. Water pressure was great but shower head needs replacing. Beds seemed smaller than queen and mattresses need replacing.

Most of the staff was amazing, but the man who was there part of the time at the front desk was very rude !! I had to pay 56$ to check in a hour early!!

Very welcoming when arriving ay midnight for a last minute stay. The desk clerk was very informative. Fast food in next parking lot that can be walked to. There were plenty of other options of concenient stores and reataurants within a very short drive. There is construction taking place on the exit.

Breakfast was nice. Room was spacious. Floors needed cleaning, but the housekeeping came in and cleaned it right away. Nice stay. Will stay again. Good area… entrance & exit is a little rough, but not the hotels fault. Wendy’s is in the same parking lot. Food not too far. Walmart is right across the interstate. No problems. 👍

Everything about the property was great, but the construction on the road in front of the property made getting in and out tricky. After it is done all should be well. The place was clean and well appointed. The front desk greeted me by name when I walked in, and their communication before booking was excellent. They warned me about the road construction and how to deal with it. The lobby was very nice, lots of room and well appointed. I was disappointed that there was no breakfast, but that was not in the listing anyway. But it was curious that the hotel seemed to be well set up to offer breakfast with tables, chairs, and even some equipment. At least there was good coffee in the lobby.

Everyone that works the front desk is friendly and helpful. If we had a problem they fixed it ASAP. Close to Wendy’s. I-10 and several things.

Unfortunately we were disappointed after reading fairly good reviews. Lobby and pool area were nice but room smelled awful and had stains and hair all over the comforter. Bathroom was dirty and beds uncomfortable. We should have asked for a different room but had just drove 12 hours and had already unloaded everything. Breakfast was bread, cereal and waffle maker…that’s it. Convenient location to the Destin airport but overpriced for what it was.

There are many hotels near this one. Rooms are old. No blinds in the window so there is now way to make it super dark. No coffee maker in room. Breakfast served is ONLY toast, cereal and make your own waffles and no foods allowed out of dining room. Coffee folios are tiny! This is more of a “motel”.

Wendy was very friendly and the hotel was clean and well kept. For our needs, the mattress was too firm and the pillows were uncomfortable, so we didn’t sleep well. When we went down for breakfast there was nothing there except three apples and the machine with apple and orange juice. The waffle machine had been taken apart, and it was still an hour before breakfast hours were to be over. No one was at the front desk to ask, and so we just went ahead and got on the road!

I had to come to Florida for a funeral and it was last minute, so while I didnt really need anything super fancy, I obviously wanted something safe and clean. First with the good: It was generally pretty quiet and I never felt unsafe at all. The room was decently clean (except for laminate floor..when I first first got there I had white socks on and within a few minutes of walking around they were totally black) and everything worked properly. Staff was fantastic! The bad: there was a giant crack in side of the door and I could literally stick a pen through it, which meant several bugs were able to fly in at night when my lights were on. Online claims they have house keeping each day which they do not. Probably the most lacking continental breakfast I have ever experienced. Waffles, toast, cereal and oatmeal. Fruit consists of apples and small mandarins. No flavored creamer for coffee, etc. And the bed was rock hard ...I could feel every spring. If you are looking for somewhere safe and quiet, this is a good place for you. If you are looking for fancy...this probably isnt the place for you 😀

This time at Hometown was a bust! First, us having to leave our room because of some fella with a gun Friday nite, not serving breakfast anymore because it’s “down season” as I was told Saturday morning - room was not cleaned very well and the pillows were old and lumpy- refrigerator was the best part still just like last time tho

The room was quite average but clean enough. I slept well. There was much road construction in the area making it difficult to get in and out of the property. The breakfast was very below average. Self-made waffles, juice and two types of cereal.

If you diabetic make sure you plan to eat somewhere else for breakfast. The only thing that was available was sweet cereal and waffles. The only cold drinks were juice. There wasn’t even ice water. There was hot water but no tea bags if you are a tea drinker.

Was okay, but wasn’t fully clean. Decided to cut the visit short, and stayed somewhere else more for piece of mind, but if you’re looking for somewhere at a reasonable price for a couple of nights I’d say go for it just check stuff.
