Place was clean, check in was easy, the hot breakfast was much better than similar hotels. My biggest complaint is that construction was going on directly Above my room. I mean flooring being installed, loud hammering, etc. I booked this room just to get some rest between long drives and that did not happen. Yes there were pardon our appearance while we renovate signs at the front desk, but I never would’ve thought this construction would Be directly Above me. The staff was extremely dismissive and just pointed at the sign. They could certainly use a lesson in hospitality. I would never have booked this room if I knew about this beforehand.

Had a late flight arriving at 11:30 pm, booked this hotel because their website said they had 24 hr shuttles from the airport, not true, called at 11:30 pm when I arrived and was told the shuttle was done for the day, had to find other transportation

We booked due to free airport shuttle offered. However, the driver seems to have difficulty knowing where to pick us up. We see many other hotels shuttle drive by many times but not best western. After waiting one hour, we called a taxi. Very disappointing service

There was no one on front desk from 6:45 till someone arrived at 7:20. Our 7:00a, shuttle didn’t arrive! Person who came at 7:20 told us driver called in sick. We had to call Uber. Serious lack of communication!

They should say that the shuttle stops at 11 because we arrived at 11:30 and had to get a taxi. either that or they should run it until the last plane comes in at midnight because it was expensive and we did not plan on it

The shuttle was shut down at 11:25 even though we had been assured on the phone at 11:22 that we would be picked up. We waited 40 minutes at the airport, no one came - and no phone call about it. We called and were told it had shut down and was not coming, so we had to get an Uber. The desk clerk said breakfast was from 7-9:30. We arrived at 9:05 and everything was shut down. My legs were covered in bites after the short overnight stay, which can only be attributed to bedbugs.

The staff member that was on site at my time of check in was great he was very friendly helpful and knowledgeable. Unfortunately, the room we were given had an AC unit that was not working when I went downstairs to mention it, the now lady at the desk advised me that they don’t normally change rooms for guest and that I am very lucky but they will change my room. It took everything in me to hold myself together and not ask how am I lucky because I’m paying for an accommodation that is not being given. But ok I let it slide, then we were placed in another room, this one also had an AC unit that was not working. This was in 90 degree Florida heat. I didn’t complain as I just figured I’d thoughen it up for the one night I was staying. But overrall, the area is nice lots to do, convinient with the airport shuttle and location. But amenities needs serious maintenance and upkeep.

The property is very dated. The AC was extremely loud tho did work well. There was also an awful loud buzzing that occurred during the night. Not related to AC noise. We also found the airport transportation service lacking. We had to call twice to be picked up. Which after a long transatlantic flight was not ideal. Our driver tho was great.

Good hotel overall. I just wish the hotel shuttle had an earlier time because it starts at 6am. Also I had room 220 and the AC wasn’t working that good. Also I had to go to the airport at 4:30am and there was no to go breakfast for early birds. The rest was all good.

Hotel was clean but older building. Thin walls. Room was decent with upgraded bathroom. Air conditioner was not good. Good breakfast choices. Pool area was a good size with lots of seating. Cheap cab ride from Cruise Port. Free airport shuttle was excellent. Walk to restaurants is ideal.

The air conditioner sounded like a jet plane taking off. The slamming of the doors was constant and at all hours of the day/night. Even the cleaning crew enjoys slamming doors early in the morning. Those doors should be changed so the cannot slam that hard, most hotel doors shut slowly. If you cannot replace the doors then place signs asking people to be considerate of others and not slam their room door at 2 am!

Daii was such a delight she was so helpful from checking in to providing a good place to get food besides McDonalds. I can tell she is a truly hard worker and goes the extra mile. She really turned my day around with her words, gestures, and how much she cared. I stayed one night but the pool and my room was 10/10. Breakfast was great! Dining hall was crowded but I had no issue going to eat in my rooom. Thanks for a speedy check out and great ride to the airport.

I arrived early and was offer early check-in for $50.00 I was willing to pay for the early check- in. I then went to my car to get my luggage and came back to the front desk and was told there was no rooms available. I than asked do they have luggage hold until check-in. Then I was told that they were not responsible for the luggage. The person at the desk showed no customer service skills. My question was why you was offering me early check-in if there was no room available? I left and returned later where there was a different person at the desk, I had no problem in checking into my room?

When the front desk gets aggressive and threatening over a 70yo woman asking for a bottle of water! Then chases you to your room threatening to fight you with the scissors in his pocket resulting in police response. Avoid Best Western Hotels & Resorts and Best Western Fort Lauderdale Airport/Cruise Port at all costs!

When Expedia messed up our reservation Marc at the front desk helped us for over an hour dealing with them to get it resolved. He went way above and beyond. Rooms were clean, pool was nice. Breakfast ends a little early at 9.

The stay here was good. I only stayed for one night, but my room was well cleaned, the bed was super comfortable, and the staff was professional and friendly. There was a shopping area nearby to explore with many optioms for dining. I would recommend this hotel and I would come back.

Property does not have a reasonable dedicated area for breakfast. The available space is small and crowded which does not provide for much privacy. Also it is located at the entrance to the motel just across a narrow hallway from the customer service desk. In general it was clean and a section of the building was under renovation. The motel is located in a not very desirable area of Fort Lauderdale, however is very close to the Airport.

Basic hotel convenient to the cruise port. Positives: Staff was incredibly friendly. Room was spacious. Neutral: breakfast was traditional, midtier, buffet offering. Instant scrambled eggs, sausage, links, yogurt, toast, packaged muffins, etc. There were also breakfast sandwiches every other day and Belgian waffles. Negatives: while the room appeared clean, the carpets were fairly filthy. This is based on white socks worn during the afternoon hours that turned black by dinner time. And, perhaps out of their control, the room always smelled musty given Florida humidity and an air conditioner, running throughout the day.
