For a larger spa hotel experience while still being in Old Town Key West, the Pier House can't be beat. They keep their small private beach fairly clear of seaweed, which is awesome. Pool in the winter was nicely heated. Great dining with a water view. Housekeepers were unobtrusive and did a great job. We really enjoyed our stay. Top thing I'd change: personally I don't care for Molton Brown toiletries because their fragrances trigger allergic reaction for me.

Location is the biggest pro. Staff kicked our group out of the hot tub citing a rule that it closed at dusk. Odd restriction of an amenity. Service at chart room bar was so slow we just passed on it. Seaweed was never cleared off the small beach so it was not the best views or water access. It was overall ok not great.

I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The property is well-maintained and the front desk staff were exceptionally friendly, particularly Levi, who provided some excellent local recommendations. The rooms were very comfortable, and the food in the restaurant was of a high standard. Front desk staff was very helpful. They really made a difference. Specious, quite and well appointed room. Amenities include a beach and pool, a bar, with food service and beachside service, nice restaurant, parking. Great location. Everything is nearby. We didn't need a car.

Views were amazing! Walkable to everything and Fury rental stations right outside if you want a golf cart or scooter. Drinks were great at the bar. Private beach was perfect!

A Disappointing Experience That Fell Short of Expectations After reading several positive reviews, I arrived at the resort with high expectations, but unfortunately, my experience didn’t quite match the praise. On the first day, I headed to the pool area, only to find most of the lounge chairs covered with towels but very few guests actually using them. It was difficult to find a towel, and despite several visits from the waiter to nearby areas, I was overlooked. A similar situation occurred on my return visit, with no pool attendant in sight. After about 30 minutes, I was finally able to locate a staff member who helped me get settled. Once there, I noticed that the palm trees appeared poorly maintained, with dead branches hanging precariously—something that could pose a safety risk. While I appreciated the charm of the roaming roosters, it would have been nice if the grounds were cleaned more frequently to address the mess they leave behind. The biggest letdown, however, was the condition of the pool itself. The bottom was visibly dirty, with large patches of debris, and the pool clock wasn’t functioning—suggesting that upkeep of the area might not be a priority. Overall, while the resort has potential, the lack of attention to detail and maintenance significantly impacted my stay.

The room had large cockroaches and the AC wouldn't get cool so we were miserably hot at night. I asked the front desk about the AC and she stated that if it got any cooler then it would freeze up the unit. I had to request house keeping several times because they never came to clean the room. The resort was a perfect location but not worth the money!

I will never stay here again. We checked in, got unpacked and then a large cockroach went across our room. We tried to get it and couldnt. Called down to the front desk and they moved us rooms. Inside the main building, the new room was much smaller. Bathroom on our crusise ship was larger than this one. The room was old and run down. Bathroom shower leaked constantly. We checked out the next day and moved hotels. Just when we though that was over days later I see they are still charging us resort and room fees. Had to go back and tell them we checked out and to stop charging us. Will not ever recommend this hotel. We paid alot and didnt get any of it back.

The location was convenient, rooms were OK. Hot tub was disgusting! My cousin and I go on a trip every year and always chose a place with a hot tub. I notified the front desk on three different occasions that the hot tub needed servicing and it never happened.

We stayed at the pier house on the “off” season and just loved it. It was super cute, super clean rooms and grounds. The A/C was cold as was the fridge in our room. if I had to find something to complain about it would have to be the lighting in the bathroom was not the best- hard to do makeup in there- not a deal breaker at all. Loved the resort really close to all the bars and stores on Duval and then also close to the Piers if you plan any excursions.

The bathroom was very nice. The rest of the room was just ok. The common hallway had trash on the floor for the entire weekend. Nobody swept the floor at all. For the money you pay there are better hotels.

Excellent location to shopping and dining! Just a few feet from everything! There was one small pool and a hot tub nearby. The food at the bar was good. We had an avocado chicken sandwich and a slice of key lime pie. Beds were comfortable. Rooms were quiet. We upgraded to an ocean view in hopes to sit on the balcony and sip coffee in the mornings. The balcony was so small with oversized chairs that my 6’2 husband had to put part of the chair inside the room and part in the balcony so that he would fit on the balcony without his knees being jammed against the railing. The railing also obscured the view. We paid quite a bit extra for this amenity so that is the reason for one star taken away. Other than that it was a nice stay!

We could not sleep due to the noise from the smoke detector and the air conditioning unit. We reported it, but nothing was not done until we reported it again in the morning. It was deceptively offered as an upgrade. That is ridiculous for the amount you charge. Please, get real! We are not planning to stay at Pier House again.

Rented a room with ocean view. It was not.[Gulf view] it was like being in a theather sitting behind a person with a big hat. We could see to the left or right not center. Thats what I paid for.Total view. And no microwave??? Had to ask for one.Balcony pic. shows room for movement. actually, it was like sitting in a crowded resturant squeeziing to get by.

Cons: Bed was very hard, no elevator for the building we were in, 1 beach attendant (where the snorkel stuff is) was very rude, breakfast options weren’t the greatest and you could only get entree’s in the price. Pros: Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful, the beach and pool area was very clean with a beautiful sunset view, convenient to any shopping and restaurants, our room’s location had a quiet area to sit in the balcony (surrounded by trees & not many people walking past)

The location of this hotel is amazing, very clean. Traditional rooms are average nothing special about it. TerribleTerrible Wi-Fi. You could only get YFI in the lobby. You won’t be able to connect from your room. And I have addressed the issues with the front desk, but with no success. But other than that, it’s a good place to be at. Everybody friendly. And fairly clean place.. the restaurant is spot on.

Property is very nice and well maintained. We stayed in a double queen room with a lanai. To our disappointment it was very small. There were two of us and there was no room to move around. The bathroom is small also no room to put your toiletries around the sink. For the price of the room it was not worth it. The location is great.

Overall a great experience. We loved the beach and pool areas. The waiter at the pool was amazing. The food at the restaurant was excellent. The outdoor bar very nice with large tvs. Our room was very nice and appeared to be recently updated. We had a room with a lanai and ours overlooked the pool and we could even see a bit of the ocean which we didn’t expect. Only negatives were the beds were a little too firm for my liking, and our room was near an elevator and it got noisy at night.

Nice room, very organized and clean. Pillow could be better for the price. Expensive food in the hotel, and also for drinking. But good quality. Usually nice staff but be careful on the front desk. If Colleen is taking care of you, pay attention! She’s rude and doesn’t care about the guests satisfaction.

First impression was not good. We were checked in by Levi who doesn’t appear to like his job. We asked for a high floor and was told no even though Colleen told me over the phone that she would put in for us to get a high floor. He put us on the first floor and when we got to our room, we noticed the sliding door didn’t lock. The front part did lock; however, the rear did not. Levi did end up moving us to the 2nd floor; however, when we came back down and told him thank you, he said “nothing was wrong with the lock in your room” he made it seem like we were lying; however, he only checked the front of the slider not the back. Nobody wants a room on the first floor that doesn’t lock. After that, things did get better. The property is clean. This is not modern, so if you are looking for modern, this probably isn’t for you. It is more beachy. The concierge Lee is SUPER friendly and VERY helpful. He was able to tell us all about tours and golf carts and even book them for us. He knows a LOT about the area and made it so easy to find all the fun things to do. I would stay here again! 4 star instead of 5 because of the first impression as it sets the tone for the stay!

Overall quality of the resort and its location were excellent. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Lee the concierge was great. Also a young man at check-in desk whose name we unfortunately didn’t get was wonderful. Our second time staying here, and we’re looking forward to returning.

Property was in the heart of the action, that was the good thing. But upon checking we were informed that our room required maintenance and they’d given us an upgrade. Which of course was not the case. We’re downgraded from a junior suite to a traditional room. Spoke with several people who stated someone would address our issues.. but no one did

Overpriced for quality of property. Get dinged for every fee imaginable. Staff and mgt not on same page. Ask ataff question, ask mgt and get diff answer. Accounting system is in shambles for tracking room expenses.

Clean, ideal location, right next to Mallory Square, tranquil tropical setting, Friendly, helpful, attentive staff, lots of parking, 10 minute walk to most boat excursions. We loved it! Snorkeled at the hotel beach everyday. Ate at the beach restaurant regularly (and drank!!) went to chart room, pool etc. all were fantastic. Ocean front room - very nice and great view.

They say they upgraded us when we checked in, they stuck us in a room next to the bar which was loud until about 1 in the morning. The facilities were nice and close to everything. Be careful with your bill because they overcharge us everyday on our breakfast and lunch bill.
