The resort is very nice and pool area and bar was nice too. Our only negative was our first floor room had a door going out to a patio and the lock on it was bad. If someone wanted to get in our room, it would have been very easy for them to do so from the outside. Parking garage was convenient but cost was too high when you’re already paying for the room plus a resort fee.

Nice property. They were doing some maintenance and had to block of the fitness room and an entryway to the pool, but those things are necessary from time to time to keep the place looking good. Mexican restaurant on the property was good. Room was clean and the bed was very comfortable.

This hotel was simply great. Super good location, very good active and friendly staff, the resort pays attention to details, like serving free cold water, providing free sunscreen & sunglasses cleaner. The female bartender was energetic and smart. The restaurant onsite has sunset views over the West side of island. The server was awesome and two managers checked on us twice to confirm that we were enjoying our meal. I am relatively snobby about where we stay. This place exceeded my high standards. I will be back.

We were not informed of construction prior to our arrival. There was no pool available, breakfast was in a tent outside on 2 of the 4 days of our stay, and construction going on all around the resort. I get that they are doing upgrades but it would be nice to know these things in advance as we definitely would have selected a different resort to actually enjoy our short vacation. Additionally, we ordered room service one evening at 7pm and received a call back after placing the order that the restaurant had already closed for the night. It was quite disappointing when spending over $2200 for 4 nights.

The property is undergoing a renovation. Our room was directly adjacent and above the renovation and the noise from the pounding of sheet metal and concrete was unrelenting during the day from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. This should have been disclosed on the expedia website. The good news is that the staff made an adjustment to our bill, which was truly a class act and very considerate.

The property is very centrally located to the Key West hot spots and has a beautiful view of the water when cruise ships are not in port, which is just about every day. The free orange juice (delicious) and coffee in the lobby each morning is a nice touch. The elevators need a big-time face lift. Staff is awesome, friendly and helpful. Pool chair savers are going to save and that's just rude!

Amazingly friendly and helpful staff. gave four stars ‘On property conditions’, because I got stuck for a minute in one of the elevators. Loved, the fact that it has 3 EV chargers on property. And it’s actually more convenient than valet parking for EV chargers

The rooms are very outdated and the hallways were dirty. I had 3bugs in my room. The hotel is in a great spot everything is walkable. Paid extra money for oceanfront but, the cruise ship was docked there so that was a complete waste of money. I had 11 people come for a 50th birthday dinner at Loitta’s but, that was a disaster. The Manager of the hotel was very nice and understanding. We had to wait for our room why past 4:30. They should hire more people to clean the rooms. Check out is 11 it shouldn’t take that long to clean the rooms if they had more help . I like where the hotel is located but, for that money the rooms should be cleaner and updated. Very disappointed

The room was comfortable and the location to everything was wonderful. The elevator and hallways looked like they they could do with being painted and we did have an issue with bathroom sink which took two days to fix but ovetall we enjoyed our stay and the staff were very friendly

One of the worst nights of my life. The AC was so loud we did not sleep all night. It was a combination of tractor and a washing machine. We changed rooms but no improvement but got worst. There were cockroaches everywhere and the floors were sticky. We left the property at 5am and have been sick to my stomach for the past two days probably from all the chemicals for the bugs. This property fails every hygiene standard. The only positive note at the property was the GM - Bachi. He was super polite, friendly and hospitable. He truly wanted to help but with this type of hardware and roach infestation it is impossible.

We gad room 391, think we got lucky and it was one of the best at the resort. We had an oversized balcony with a fantastic view of the harbour, and an unbeleivable view of the sunset. Every singleb staff member we met was exceptional, the room was very clean, we could not have chosen a better place to stay.

The hotel is in very well centralized location. Everything is in walking distance. We paid extra for 2 ocean front rooms but cruise ships dock in front of the property almost every day so you will not have ocean view or be able to see sunset. If you don’t care for ocean view room then this hotel is good.

I was expecting more considering the price we paid. The room temperature never went below 73, even though thermostat was set on 68. The shower wand was facing out and was in the on position, I got soaked with my clothes on trying to adjust the water temp of the shower. The furniture was visibly worn and dated.We were not offered assistance with luggage and were unaware that our room was in another building. Beds were comfortable, bath products were very nice.Did not dine or drink on property

The view is great. The room was dated. The bathroom not good. The door to the shower area is about to fall off. The shower is dangerous. Its cramped and sloped so much I would slide around in it.

Location is superb. The staff were delightful and attentive. The hotel is clearly dated, however. The restaurant was not in operation, but a tent was set up outdoors. Not very comfortable, thought the breakfast was quite tasty. The lobby has been renovated and looks wonderful. The rooms are showing age. Our air conditioner did not work properly. For the dollars spent, the rating seems appropriate.

Great location! I was very impressed with how clean the hotel was, and the room service was exceptional. The staff even came by later in the day to check if we needed extra towels, coffee, or any other room services. The room was also very spacious. I highly recommend this hotel!

In all its a great hotel, however in our room facing the water we had an AC that was about 12 inches away directly next to our bed. If we were having AC running we were freezing, if we didn’t have it running we could not breathe it was too hot. The second night we had to transfer the king mattress on the floor away from the AC…for the price of the room this was not very nice.

Note that the rooms on the Ocean View look at the daily cruise ships but the worst part is that everybody on the ship walks past these rooms staring at 7:00 am and makes tons of noise. Also there is no privacy when 5,000 people are walking right past your balcony. We would never stay here again. Fortunately we were only here two nights.

Lovely two night stay. Helpful staff, nice rooms, great amenities (robes, slippers, rain ponchos, cold bottled water, coffee/tea). Fabulous location —close to Duval, Gulf/sunset and harbor. Very walkable and safe. Loved their restaurant on Sunset Key that comes with boat transportation. Just book early to get a reservation.

This is our second stay at Opal Key. We love the ocean views, room size, but most importantly the customer service. The staff is friendly and goes out if their way to make your stay a wonderful experience. All of the extras set this resort apart. Slippers, rain ponchos, toiletries etc.

Despite my initial enthusiasm for this establishment, I was ultimately disappointed. Despite paying an additional premium for the ocean view, we were not informed that the view was obstructed daily by cruise ships. Our room was not located in the main building, and no information regarding dining options in the adjacent building was provided. Also. the hallway smelled like mold. When we approached the concierge for assistance, we encountered rudeness. Furthermore, while we were waiting for an Uber ride to the airport, a hotel employee misled us into believing that a shuttle service would be available, resulting in a $38 taxi ride instead. On a positive note, the hotel did offer some pleasant amenities, particularly at the pool. The housekeepers provided exceptional service in maintaining our room daily. However, I have given this establishment a three-star rating and do not anticipate returning.

Everything was fantastic with this hotel. My only complaint is that I paid for the Bay view and we woke up to a giant cruise ship parked in front of our balcony! Apparently there is a cruise ship docked there from 0800 until 1700 each day! The hotel is very close to Malory Square, Duval Street and many great shops and restaurants! We absolutely loved Key West!

Great location right next to Mallory Square with a convenient parking garage. Stayed in room overlooking pool area. Nice and quiet despite being right in the mix of downtown and next to cruise ship dock. Staff was helpful and the free refrigerated water was a nice touch to stay hydrated in the heat of summer. Pool was pretty packed in the day but thinned out by mid afternoon. There is a real nice sunset bar and deck with a great view of the harbor and sunset key. Would def recommend and would stay here again.

Just wanted a no/low stress trip for a couple of days and got exactly that. The Opal Key has the perfect location; right at the main trolley pick-up and drop off area, at the marina, right on top of Duval Street, great restaurants, Fisher museum shops. The hotel was sparkling clean, pool fabulous and so so quiet. Everything about it was great.

The hotel was very nice and the service was great. The dining room was under renovation which was a disappointment, but they did comp breakfasts for the guests. It is a great location in easy walking distance from major attractions, shopping and dining.

We enjoyed our stay here. We were a bit surprised though to find the restaurant closed and the lobby under construction. However, there was a temporary tent for free continental breakfast which was actually more like a full breakfast with eggs, bacon, etc. The location is great. The room was very nice. We were surprised that the rooms are only made up on alternating days (really?). If you want a modern, well located place to stay in Key West, I don’t think you can do much better.

Top notch hotel in prime location. Check in and check out was fast and easy. Arrived 1 hour early and had no problem with checking in. Valet services was great with luggage assistance upon arrival and departure. Room was spacious and comfortable. YOU MUST TRY THE ONSITE RESTAURANT! Food was amazing.

The major complaint was the WiFi was unreliable during the day, and even worse at night. Also, the Bistro 245 served excellent food for dinner, and we would have eaten more meals there but the prices were just way too high. There were only about four families eating dinner while we dined ... lots and lots of empty tables. The restaurant has an excellent waterfront location. I think you would fill the tables for every meal, and net a lot more money, if you dropped the prices.

I love this property location. It is perfectly situation in Mallory Square and in easy walking distance to all the Key West fun spots. My only complaint and reason for the 4 star rating vs 5 star was the lack of a temporary bar during the renovation construction. The "bar" available has limited hours and is just a small walkup by the tent they are using as a temporary restaurant. Definitely not ideal and forced us to go elsewhere for evening drinks - not the worst thing in the world of course but noticeably annoying.

Wide assortment of healthy and traditional food at breakfast and well priced. Room was clean but some areas in need of updating. AirCon worked well. Staff were very pleasant and attentive. Had certain issues with a double booking which eluded admin staff and that was ‘somewhat’ irksome but apart from that all was well.

Room service was only available between 11am and 7pm (for which there was no menu) - on site dining not available, particularly valuable during inclement conditions- rooms were nothing special - cost was quite a bit higher than other full service properties - beds were not very comfortable
