We recently stayed at the Doubletree Grand Hilton at Biscayne Bay. Let me say, this was the worst hotel stay We have ever had. Let me explain more. 1. When we arrived, the hotel was undergoing a major renovation, something we were totally unaware of. We would have changed hotels if we knew. 2. When we arrived via Uber, we could not figure out how to get to the lobby. We asked the valet, he told us we were on wrong side of hotel and we had to walk around. We did, only to find nothing, then walked back. (Very hard for us as we are in 60's and had 3 suitcases). When we got back, same valet insisted there was no entry where we were. We found another valet that helped us a little. Problem was we went in right door but then was sent wrong way. Took us 35 minutes from time dropped off until we found the hotel desk to check in. 3. Tried to use digital key, it made us go to hotel desk to run credit card, even though we gave when booked. 4. There were only 2 elevators when we got there for our floor, one was broke. When we went to breakfast, the 2nd elevator broke. People were doing stairs with their luggage. Luckily, we found a bellhop Nate (probably best employee at this hotel). Nate got us to our room using service elevator, then came back couple hours later and took us and our bags out of the hotel to where we could get a Lyft. This hotel is not fit to have guests right now, and if it was my first Hilton property, I would never consider it again. There were a lot of unhappy people.

We chose this hotel due to the location on the waterfront and the swimming pool for a 24 hour stay before we returned home to the uk. Whilst we were happy with the harbour view, on arrival we discovered that the pool was closed for renovation as were communal spaces such as the lobby (a temporary one was in place) There was also only one elevator available for the entire building causing everyone having to wait for several lift button pushes before making it into the elevator. As with all American hotels it did not seem that stairs were available other than for emergency exits. We were offered the use of the pool in the adjoining hotel but this was disorganised with staff in both hotels not being sure of procedures. Neither hotels.com or Hilton contacted us in advance of our stay to let us know about the works. Had this been the case we would not have stayed here and would have chosen another local hotel with a working pool.

Parking costs $50/day to your bill for mandatory valet. It's a hidden cost. Hard to get in and out due to neighborhood and construction. Not a great area with police activity constant 1 block away, not convenient. Hotel is like an afterthought to condo complex. Junky mall attached. Just meh to bad

I dont like that when we booked the hotel, they did not say that the pool was close,and a lot of stuff was under renovation. So we don’t have the pool time with my family, we dont expect that. That makes me feel so disappointed.

Our room was great and perfect for before our cruise. However, the hotel is undergoing some big maintenance and it is really affecting the quality of stay. The room had some maintenance issues handles missing, broken light switches, and patches to be rectified. Having to walk through the main building's garbage area and loading area to get main level is awful. The security scanner for the elevator to run was temperamental and often had long waits on it to work. Give it 6 months when all the construction should be finished and then it would be better.

I liked that it had access to several dining options, for all times of the day. The staff was very friendly and the location was picturesque. It was convenient, located in downtown Miami. From here we were a stone's throw from the Adrienne Arscht Center and were able to visit Vizcaya. But, THERE WERE BED BUGS and I have had to shell out approximately $2000 to eradicate them from my home. It has been 3 months since the treatment started and it's not clear if they are gone yet.

My room was beautiful, but the sofa was dirty, the chaise lounge was dirty, the white curtains were dirty, there were stains all over the coffee table. My sheets/pillowcases weren't changed the entire time I stayed there.

Our room was filthy. It smelled like smoke. Floor was dirty. Windows were disgusting. Stains on curtains. Over $500 for the night didn't match the price. We asked for an extra blanket at the front desk and they said they didn't have any. No channels were working on the tv and it kept buffering when I restarted it. There was dirty towels in a bag by our room that sat there from a previous stay as we checked in and stayed there until after we left. Awful!

Nice view! Friendly (if not all that helpful) staff. Housekeeping didn’t refill toilet paper or shampoo, had to call for it. They were quick when we called. Didn’t refill cotton swabs either. I think all housekeeping did was replace towels, took out the trash and made the bed. Didn’t replace the bed linens for the week we were there or clean anything off the floor (we had a spill and cleaned it with a cloth, but it was sticky the whole time). Ok place to stay, but not the greatest. Didn’t get our cookie when we checked in.

I upgraded to the junior suite and expected a nice room. The room was good size, but furniture is very old and chairs are dirty. I would not even put my bag on it. The bedding had wholes and the hotel is being renovated so since 8 am we had jackhammering noises. The worst stay!

The hotel was under construction so no pool or spa. They did offer the Marriott pool as a substitute. At night, you can hear other guests pretty often. The worst part was the air conditioner. When it turned on, it made so much noise and woke you up throughout the night. We didn't get a good night sleep at all.

The property and stay were great; however, the television in the room shut down every 30 minutes while watching. We could not finish a program without resetting. We contacted the staff, and someone came to repair the issue four times with no success, so we dealt with the problem until check-out. Other than this, the room and stay were great. (Four day stay)

Staff is outstanding, Great service and very friendly. Room I had this time lacked a lot. Paper thin walls, very noisy, floor tile had holes in them very little hot water and a grinder pump in the bathroom under the sink run a lot and was very noisy. Only thing that was good about the room was the view.

Had problems with getting in wifi the whole time. Glad my business trip did not require much work from hotel. If it would had, I would have been in a bad spot. Plus the refrigerator made terrible noises randomly thru the night. Had to leave unplugged to stay asleep.

Employees as a whole do not greet guests. This includes the front desk and the cleaning staff. They mumble when you speak to them. Took 3 days and multiple requests to get clean towels which we had to go to the front desk to collect. No one came to clean our room nor bathroom our entire 5 day stay. On the fourth day we requested the trash be removed and a new box of kleenex and a roll of toilet paper. I would not recommend this facility despite being a Hilton Honors member.

The beginning of my stay was perfect. I was ready to give them 5 stars the night of my check in with how kind the front desk girl was and how nice my room was. However, the next morning, around 7:30am I called and requested a late check out. They gave me until 12:30pm. Amazing. Super grateful. At 10:02 my door was opened by housekeeping to check if I had left. I walked out, definitely caught off guard, and told her I had a 12:30pm check out. She apologized and moved on. Mind you, I’m a 28yr old women traveling alone, in the room alone. At 12:05 as I was getting out of the shower my door was opened again while I had no clothes on. At this point my morning is completely turned off and my anxiety just shot up. I don’t understand the purpose of giving a late check out if housekeeping is going to continue to push me out of my room, and rudely. When I expressed this to the man at the front desk with a curly pony tail he told me “people make mistakes. Can I offer you a coupon for a snack”. I just started crying. He didn’t care. At all. Like most men, they will never get it. I just walked out of the hotel and went to my car and cried. After having somebody break into one of my hotel rooms before, so this situation made me very uncomfortable and extremely upset. The feeling of the FD agent just dismissing the situation with a freaking food coupon just put the cherry on top. What a horrible way to end my stay here and I will never be back. What a shame.

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a great experience! The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The location was convenient, and everything we needed was close by. What really stood out was the friendly and helpful staff. When my boyfriend arrived separately, they went out of their way to assist him with the check-in process and made everything smooth and stress-free. We both really appreciated their kindness and professionalism—it made a big difference in our stay. Would definitely recommend this hotel and would happily stay here again!

I should have read the reviews about this place before I booked. I have never had a problem with a Hilton property ever. You will not be able to checkin before 4. The front desk straight up lied to my face that my room was being cleaned (or housekeeping was lying to the front desk). Two hours goes by and the new shift came on and the guy Michael (very nice guy btw) said unfortunately the room was not clean yet. All this while I was explaining to the front desk my wife was sick and needed to go to bed. They could have just offered to downgrade us instead of lying to my face. Calling the diamond hotline didn't help either but they did call the property and got this same answer. To top it off the AC did not work in our room and the slider does not latch properly. I was not about to waste my time calling the front desk about it. It was Feb 2nd so it wasn't brutally hot yet.

My stay at this hotel was truly enjoyable. The location is excellent, close to everything and with easy access to main attractions. The facilities were spotlessly clean and well maintained. We loved our stay here! While you are in a large city hotel, there is a lovely walkable park on the bay right outside the hotel. There are also some excellent restaurants and a Publix within walking distance. The hotel adjoins a residential building and shares a mall with a Starbuck's and other retail which is also convenient. Valet parking consistently got our car to us in minutes. The pool is nice and was never that crowded.

this property was absolutely beautiful! honestly, the pictures don't do it justice! We got there a little early, so while we were waiting for our room to be ready, they stored our luggage for us so that we could go explore around outside &they sent a text when our room was ready, & when we went to check in, I was pleasantly surprised that they upgraded our room to a condo free of charge, and still with a balcony which I was so happy about! The rooms were absolutely beautiful!! We were right over the bay, with a beautiful view. Beds were clean and comfy, there was a MASSIVE jacuzzi in the master bath,& even a bidet!! The guest bath had a smaller jacuzzi as well! when our luggage was ready, the bellhop brought it to our door. BEAUTIFUL overall.. we ate dinner on the outside deck of the restaurant that looked overlooked the bay with the boats, it was beautiful! them also having many other restaurants to choose from, all within the hotel!! Including a little cute ice cream/gelato stand, and even a Starbucks!! it was beautiful in there.. many cute little shops, hair salon, smoke shop, i mean a lot of stuff. All to do within this hotel. I can honestly say that i was not expecting all of that, and I truly havent stayed in a hotel as nice as this! Security there is top notch..in order to even get back to the elevators to the rooms, & the pool, you have to scan your hand through a machine to get yourself buzzed in. Very private there, people also live there!!!! How lucky they are!!!

The property has very good amenities and a patio. Restaurant and bar and a very nice environment to enjoy there. There is a supermarket one block from its location also. Very convenient.
