Management randomly decided to close the swimming pool for the day/night. No explanation or compensation. After registration was complete the RUDE person at desk informed me I would charged an ADDITIONAL $24 to park my car! And of course, breakfast will be an additional $32 per person!! REDICULOUS!! I will never be a guest at Hilton Garden Inn again. Another guest was checking in at the same time and he expressed the same outrage at the rudeness and extra charges. There are many other choices for hotel accommodations that INCLUDE these features. You may have gotten us once but NEVER again!! Very disappointing!!

This hotel is located in an area with multiple hotels that share an airport shuttle. The hotel is very nice. My room was beautiful, however there were a few issues. The pool was closed when I arrived. It did open mid afternoon. The water was a little cool for me, but others may like it on the cool side. I was on the third floor, and the hallway smelled like pot. In the morning there was a problem with no hot water. They had not gotten it fixed before I needed to leave for the airport. The manager is supposed to give me extra points on my Hilton rewards account. Lastly, my shuttle skipped my hotel and refused to come back for me. I was able to get the next shuttle, but then I didn’t have much time at the airport.

Didn’t like the surprise parking fee and the fact I came for the pool and the day we come the pool was closed kids was looking forward to it and was disappointed I could have went somewhere else

I was there 4 nights. The only complaint I have is that the bed and pillows weren't the most comfortable. Other than that, a wonderful experience was had. Timely shuttle to the airport as well.

We enjoyed our stay at the Hilton Garden Inn, however 1 of the elevators was out of service the entire time we were there and the 2nd one went out of service our first night and we had to carry all of our luggage up to the 4th floor. The hotel front desk did give us breakfast vouchers for both mornings of our stay to compensate us for the inconvenience though. I did not like the fact that we had to pay to park at the hotel when we were guests there. I hadn't noticed in the fine print that parking was not included until after I booked our room. This hotel was one of the only hotels in the area that had 2 queen beds that we needed, so I didn't want to change my reservation. I feel like the property was nice, but not nice enough to have to pay extra for BOTH parking & breakfast each day.

I was thankful to have a room while my flights were being cancelled. The front desk person was very nice and accommodating. The smell when you first walk in is unpleasant, and the room was not clean at all. There were brown fingerprints on the door to the bathroom, and I had to clean the tub before taking my shower. Again, I’m thankful that I had a place to stay but I wouldn’t stay here again.

The room was comfortable however while making coffee a roach walked across the counter top. Where there is one there is more😬. The staff was very understanding and did not charge us for the room. Excellent customer service but I can’t abide bugs, especially roaches.

Noisy and unsafe. The people next door were noisy, people walking down the halls were noisy - or the walls / doors didn’t do anything to dampen the noise. Unsafe - about 2am a lady ran down the hall screaming help me - help me! We didn’t know what was going on - just stayed in our rooms until it was time to check out.

Room was nice and spacious. Cleaning crew was friendly and accommodating. My only issue was the lady at check in. She was not friendly and welcoming AT ALL. She was very bland, dry, and acted as if I was bothering her by even checking in. Chick-fil-A has spoiled it for every other business because I hold everyone to their standard. Greeting your guests with a smile and a "Welcome" or "Hello" is very basic. I gave a cheerful "Hello" and a smile when I walked up to the counter and she just stared at me. If I did not already have a reservation I would have certainly went to one of the other properties next door. Suggestion to management: Send her to Chick-fil-A training. She would benefit greatly.

The gentleman at the desk, Christian, was wonderful. He was so friendly, personable and kind. The hotel has a great seating area in lobby for a larger group traveling together. There is a good restaurant nearby, and the airport shuttle was efficient.

I was put out at 9pm by Luz the front desk lady. Her first reason being a noise complaint but when the security came to the room the children were in the bed laying down so when she couldn’t use that she said it was only 4 people to the room and because I had 4 children under 10 and just myself staying that the new reason was because it was 1 to many people. I didn’t know that a single parent with more than 3 kids can’t rent hotel rooms without being put out. I explained that I didn’t have anywhere else for the children to sleep at for the night as we live hours away. I was told to drive home then. While the property itself is nice the staff is horrible. The police and security even tried to talk to the lady and she still made us leave with no refund. If you do go I suggest you read the paper they make you sign at check in because they will try to lie about the policy in your face.

Horrible experience. My room was double booked and at 1am a stranger walked into my room. In addition i was told to meet the airport shuttle at 3:20am for an early flight and when I arrive at 3:15am the shuttle had already left for the airport. I was furious with the person at the reception desk and said why did tell me 3:20am???? Needless to say they call the shuttle driver back. Overall horrible experience.

Very nice area! Several nice hotels in one parking lot. Felt safe being there. There’s also several restaurants close by. Will definitely stay here again if we fly into Midway. We were only about 8 mins from the airport.

The hotel was great in terms of easy access to the train station and especially for catching our plane the next morning. The shuttle to the airport was amazing and so convenient. The reason for 4 instead of 5 stars was that there was a breakfast and breakfast buffet, but it was not included with the room. On the other hand the service staff was very accommodating and very kind.

I enjoyed my stay. I would definitely come back and stay again. There were other hotels in the radius of Marriott & Hilton that was nice seeing the different branches. The only thing that I would say is that the restaurant in the hotel is pricey, the food is good though & the night-time staff is cordial a plus. Breakfast the buffet it wasn't worth the price unless they make it more appealing/appetizering or unless your able to order it. Actually, breakfast should be included. Everyone was knowledgeable and attentive from the front desk, housekeepers, and kitchen staff.

Hair in the bathtub, used coffee pods, NO CELL phone charger in the room, $3 in room bottle of water? Front desk checked us in, no Welcome, just right to business. HOWEVER The bartender was WONDERFUL! Our meals were hot and delicious, she was VERY WELCOMING, and kind!

i booked this horne to them having a restaurant on site . when i finally get there i find out there is. no restaurant it’s closed due to lack of staff on weekends . room service never came in my 2 day stay to clean room or restock coffee tea area . they have the nerve to charge for breakfast buffet that is life cold hard french toast and eggs overall zero from me . disappointed that this is a hilton
