Was checked into an already occupied room! Front desk was pretty unconcerned which made it feel like it happens a lot!? Pool was a reason for the choice of hotel and it had an unhealthy color and appearance

I door geated pool was not very warm. Breakfast options were decent. Buscuits and gravy waffles, bagels, cereal.

Great hotel. Pool was working and clean. Breakfast was good each morning.

While I was up in the Elgin area two days into my trip I had a stroke and spent the next 4 days in Javon Bae Hospital in Rockford. My room was 319 on the 3rd floor. When I went to check out the elevator was broken. I had to walk down 3 flights of stairs with a walker. Thankfully one of your employees, Piper was good enough to bring my bag down for me, so I could catch my ride back to OHare. Thank You Piper. While the room was clean and oder free, the hallways had a very strong smell of Curry

Were not there long, just over night. Overall it went very well, however it would have been nice to use the pool area. That was closed indefinitely.

Literally an old hotel. Mmmm, quite good parking, but inside, apart from a rather nice pool and the space around it, the rest is just rubbish. Mmmm, exactly, just rubbish. A very pleasant person at the reception and a quite nice reception, and that's the whole impression of this hotel. Oh, and I'll add that the breakfast is possibly very, very poor, although the people responsible for it tried very hard to make everyone happy, so the entire staff is a plus, but the hotel as a whole, with an exclamation point minus.

Easy entry and exit to Interstate 90. Good access to city bus system. Adjacent to nice eatery. Parking lot is crumbling.

The room was clean, parking lot was great. Had great breakfast. The only downside to this hotel was their TV system hookup is outdated ,had to unplug and plug it four or five times a few times a day to be able to watch TV.

The AC in our room didn't work, there was a huge crack in the ceiling with dry wall peeling off, and the pool looked like it hadn't been taken care of in a very long time

We had to leave and not stay there. The bed had a spider and millipede in the sheets. The sheets were dirty with stains and had obviously not been changed from the previous guest.

If you just need somewhere to rest for the night, this place is ok. The hotel is run down and extremely dirty. I didnt make a fuss because i needed a place to spend the night with my daughter.

The property was old and outdated. My husband and I checked in at about 8:15pm on Saturday 5/17 we headed right out as we had to catch a comedy show at 9 that’s was about 30 minutes away. Once we returned back to the room we realized there was what appeared to be urine in our bathtub, there was hair all over the sink, there was dirty face towels hanging on the shower rod, there was what appeared to be food blood in the refrigerator, the mattress had stains all over it and there was a screen from the window sitting up against our wall by the bed. We immediately called the front desk and mentioned all that was wrong. The guy said that they had a full house and there was no other rooms to move us to and we should speak with a manager in the morning. This was the worst experience we’ve ever had. The manager on duty was nice and tried to help get things resolved for us. We’ll never stay at this location again.

Room was dirty stains on bedding, we even found a tooth uner our bed. Also the coffee pot was inside the bath room. Only one tiny trash can with no liner.

Not clean at all

Rented two rooms. Both rooms were dirty...bedding was stained. Rooms stunk like stail smoke. Recommend paying the extra money to stay somewhere other than here.

The room was dirty and the bathroom had hair in the bath tub. They only had 1 had one face towel for two people i asked for a refund.

The hotel was run down and the room looks like it was an old MOTEL. You can tell the sheets aren't replaced. VERY dirty! There was a bug on my bed. Went to get a change of room and thwy gave me a hard time. Country Inn and Suites use to be a very noce place to stay, but its gone down drastically.

Room was dirty, white bed spread had black stains in multiple areas. Carpet had food crumbs and a lage stain. Hotel is old and not well kept. Lawn outside was dead and flower beds were full of weeds. Shower curtain and window curtains were both torn.

Our room was filthy… definitely needs remodeling . I won’t stay there again

Beds were comfortable. Room was clean. Adequate free breakfast. Overall a good value for a basic place to sleep. The toilet rocked slightly on the floor and it made a dripping sound from within the tank. We mentioned it to the staff and they offer us another room, but we declined it as it didn’t affect our stay. The only problem we had was that the room next door had a very noisy hot tub that was turned on at midnight on two of the four that we stayed.

Wifi never worked in room. Walk into hallway, it worked. Annoying to say to least.

There was no way to close the curtains that I found. I pulled together and used a safety pin. No towel bars in bathroom. Fan did not work in bathroom. Bed was very comfortable and clean. Property a bit beat up.

Room was fine. Clean and updated, if a bit dated. Staff polite. Screaming uncontrolled children was an issue and the walls and doors do not keep the noise out. Breakfast was ok, not great, I have definitely had better quality. Biggest issue is the nonexistent WiFi. It’s kind of there but so slow it’s not usable. Poorest WiFi I have had in a stay. If you’re a business person find another place to stay if you require service.

The WiFi was terrible. The connection was that of the old time dial up. The carpets were grimy and need replacing. The beds were fine and for the price it was acceptable. The room is very outdated and the whole place needs a renovation with brighter colors and newer furniture

The room we stayed in was outdated. 1960's type decor. Very noticeable 'perfumed' or 'air freshener' smell when we first walked into the room. The TV was from a past decade or three. Employees were courteous and helptul. The room was clean, but a little too pricey for the type of room.

The person checking me in was very rude and made me feel uncomfortable, not to mention incompetent because it took him over half an hour to find our reservation even when I gave him our Hotels.com reservation and itinerary number. THEN they charged my credit card on file THREE TIMES for the stay and there is no phone number that will connect you to the hotel and even corporate was unable to help because, Once again, they could not find our itinerary #. I'm still trying to correct, what is in my opinion credit card fraud, and will probably just have to have my credit card company eat it when it's not their fault. This hotel should not be on a reputable site like Hotels.com - Take it off!

We booked a double queen via Expedia. We checked in, and when we got to the room, it was a king "suite" which was basically a long hotel room with a little sitting area/couch. We went back to the front desk and the guy there didn't apologize or anything, just told us they were sold out and we could talk to the manager the next morning. The couch was a pull-out which saved our stay, however once we pulled it out we realized it was never cleaned underneath. The next morning the manager informed us that when you book through Expedia they reserve the right to put you in whatever room they want. We use Expedia all the time, including this entire 8 day trip which this was the last night of, and have never had this issue before. Moreover, she once again didn't apologize and instead was intent on "proving" that this was their policy. Didn't offer to comp us even so much as extra points much less money. Beyond that the room was OK, but breakfast had issues: 2 of the 3 juices were out (attendant apologized and said they would be there the next day, of course that wouldn't help us) and at most of the cereals were out as well as the muffin/bagel station was just bread.

We checked in later in the evening, staff was very nice and easy/quick check in. Elevator needs a cleaning but not bad. Hotel looks like it is being updated gradually, so the hallway was out of date but not bad. Room was nice and big, new carpet. Bathroom is a little dated but had a fresh paint job. Towels were small and thin like the ones from the pool. Bed was comfortable, and clean. Curtains had 1 broken part at the rod to open/close, could use a cleaning. 2 bulbs burnt out in the room, but didnt cause us any issues. Over all it was a nice hotel, will be very nice o ce renovation is complete. Breakfast was good too, and staff was attentive.

Very disappointing. The guy at the front desk was very rude. He sent us to a room that was different than what I chose on-line. We switched rooms and the new room was filthy and the facility was very run down. We checked out and did not stay. UNACCEPTABLE!!!

Building was dated, which was fine. When we got to our room, there was some sort of bodily fluid smeared and dried on the wall. There was hair all over in the bathroom and shower, stuck on the shampoo and conditioner bottles. Some towels and bedding had makeup on them. The pool had bugs floating in it. The staff working the breakfast buffet was fantastic. He was super helpful and all the food was always stocked.

It was super convenient place to stay for our conference & the breakfast guy was great at keeping everything refilled. The hotel had gotten some upgrades but the painting was pretty messy & our room still needed some work (faucet was leaking & drain plug not attached & bathroom lock struggled to unlock & let you out) though the management was very apologetic & wrote it down to get it fixed. Overall, nothing fancy but met our needs for a few nights.

Room wasn't ready. Put us in another room where AC wasn't working so had to move. No customer service by terrible desk clerk who wasn't sorry and offered nothing for our inconvenience.

We were blindsided by the check out time. The email confirmation we received said that check out was noon. The information on the hotel room door said that check out was at noon. At 5 minutes before 11:00, there was a knock at our door saying we had to be out by 11:00. When my hisband mentioned that the hotel room door said check out was noon, the employee said we shouldn't be looking at the hotel room door for that information. We had to rush around the room gathering our things and ended up leaving a couple of toiletry items behind.

Convenient location, clean room, friendly front desk staff. Restaurant in adjoining parking lot with bar and fantastic steak/ribs/seafood!

Excellent location near Sheraton hospital. This was important as I was addressing some medical needs.

Hotel was outdated but the rooms were comfortable. Towels looked stained. Rooms were not noise proof but I don’t expect complete quiet in hotels. We have no issues and slept comfortably. The area seemed safe and even had a restaurant in the parking lot.

Wonderful breakfast;

Very friendly staff and exceptional service by the guy that monitors the breakfast station. The room was clean including the refrigerator and microwave. The adjacent restaurant Jimmy's Charhouse had a great menu and atmosphere.

The room was decent. The guy at the front desk was strange and told me I couldn’t pay using cash app because cashapp users are not the crowd they want to attract. Very strange since I wasn’t attempting to pay with cashapp and had already paid for my reservation before arrival. The pool looked green so we did not allow our kids to swim. Breakfast ran out of food early and they did not refill.

The location is satisfactory. The hotel has undergone renovations, but unfortunately, there were several issues during my stay. My room had an unpleasant smell, which turned out to be caused by a leaking AC. Furthermore, the breakfast provided was of very poor quality.

I was a little worried about my choice for the stay after reading 5-10 recent reviews. My experience was excellent. The location is just off I-90 and one good restaurant is in the same parking lot. Many other nice restaurants were nearby. This is the standard design so many familiarities. Room was clean and nice, temperature was easy to control. Breakfast was nice, scrambled eggs, sausage links, waffles, plus yogurts, oatmeal, fresh oranges, etc. The gentleman worked in the breakfast area kept the place clean and nice. Overall, I will stay at this hotel again.

It was really close to our conference & fit my family, but the extra blankets were pathetic and ragged after being stingy on giving them out. Thankfully we had brought some sleeping bags. Breakfast was excellent though! Lots of choices and varied every day with eggs, sausage, & even biscuits & gravy 1 day!

The staff was friendly. Our room was clean. Thin and worn towels. The condition of the building itself was sad. Walls were very poorly painted, the elevator smelled bad every time we used it. The hallway carpet was grubby. The breakfast consisted of either cereal, biscuits and gravy, tangerines, toast or waffles. No meats or eggs.
