Horrible place to stay, pool was very small and couldn’t get in the pool anyhow because of high levels of chlorine, therefore, the pool was closed! And my family and I got stuck on the elevator for about 15 minutes

I chose this hotel because it said it had a pool and breakfast. The pool wasn’t usable except 6-10pm. They said they were treating it. I wanted to cancel, but was worried I wouldn’t find another place. We were going to have the breakfast, but it looked run down and others were complaining about it being “gross”.

Everything was fine, although the elevator is sketchy. It has a 10 second delay before opening the door. There is nothing scarier than the thought of being trapped in an elevator with your elderly mother!!

When we checked into our room, the faucet on the bathroom sink was about to fall off. How on earth did that get past housekeeping? It is beyond me. The property needs maintenance updates. The paint is peeling off the walls; that is ridiculous.

We used to stay here often but it has been a couple years since our last visit. Unfortunately, the hotel is in need of repairs. The rooms felt moist/humid my daughter and I have asthma and we couldn't sleep peacefully without having to take our inhaler several times through the night. The sheets had large holes. There were several water spots on the ceilings. We were staying for 3 nights and had tiny garbage cans that we had to ask for a garbage bag and have it sit on our floor. The pool was cloudy and the vent on the wall was covered in dust. The same thing walls needed to be painted or repaired. The elevators had a note about how not to have a certain amount of people and what not. It's a shame the staff is super friendly but we won't be returning.

The people were really nice and the breakfast spread was wonderful. The cleanliness leaves much to be desired. The first thing we saw was the filthy floor in the elevator, then the hallways were no better. There was hair in the shower, but overall the room was clean. The sheets were wrinkled, making one wonder if they were used previously. There was no hot tub by the pool, very disappointing. The fitness room was not clearly marked, so we never found it. They are remodeling, causing a lot of noise making it difficult to sleep after 8-9 a.m. My son was very under the weather, the banging hammers, etc. did not help.

Bad experience. Our first room had a bad mold smell. Went to front desk to ask to be switched. Was told that all of the rooms were sold out. After letting them know that I have asthma and allergies, I was told that there may be an up charge to change the room. I expressed that I shouldn’t be charged anything because this isn’t an issue that I have created. They then switched our room. The other room had the same mold smell, but it wasn’t as strong. For the price of the rooms, this should not have been happening. The hotel also need some updating. The wallpaper is coming off of the walls in the bathroom, as well as the decorative pillows have bad stains on them. We’ve stayed here before and didn’t have this issue, but will not stay here again.

The outside of the property is not kept up at all and it gets worse when you walk inside. Very dingy. The room was dirty. The couch was old vinyl and the seat was dirty. There was a brown spot on the dingy bedspread. The only positive was that they did not argue about refunding our money and we found a clean hotel for a better rate.

I’ve stayed here before and a lot has changed. Lobby and hallways were hot and humid. Room and bathrooms were clean but beds were SO hard and uncomfortable. After a long day shopping and at Great America we wish we would have saved money and drove home. Breakfast was just ok.

Staff were very nice. Room was clean. Only complaint really was the the air conditioning did not work very well. Never really cooled off room, so made uncomfortable to sleep. Told front desk next morning and he did state that if we contacted them would of tried to get us another room. We had quite a bit of belongings in room and would of been a hassle to move.

This hotel works fine for going to Six Flags as Six Flags is basically across the street. However, it just needs some TLC. Parking lot is overgrown and an eye sore. Room furnishings were worn such as ripped curtains and shower curtains. Tables had smudge marks on them as if they hadn't been wiped down recently. Everything is just outdated, but the hotel served our needs for a quick trip to Six Flags. It's also nice that there is a McDonald's across the street too, for some quick ice cream post-amusement park as it was HOT at the park.

The room was very small compared with other hotels of the same type. Cosmetically it could use a refresh of tile in the shower. We could not get any water out of the shower head that wasn’t scalding hot unless the water was barely turned on. The room also didn’t have much in the way of soundproofing. We could hear people walking around on the floor above us. Overall, I wouldn’t stay here again unless there wasn’t any other choice.

The rooms were clean but very run down and shabby. The staff are cordial, but I had to have my room key refreshed twice during my stay including the first time I used it. Water pressure in the shower was so weak that a shower took a long time. Not worth the cost. I asked about nearby restaurants, and they were only aware of fast-food places. On the drive back to the airport I saw a pub that looked lovely within walking distance from the property.

Bagels had mold on them. When we told the person at the front desk he slowly strolled over to the gal working in the breakfast area. It took her about 15 min to change them out. No apology. No worry of anyone else came in and ate them. Disgusting. Lazy

The room we got was good. But wow was it hard to sleep with all the noise on the floor. Doors slamming all night and people yelling and chatting on and off in the hallway throughout the night as well. Also when i checked in the staff was very unfriendly, basically just stared at me when i walked up and said I have room there.

Check in was good. Very attentive front desk clerk. Everything was good. Wood paneled elevator. Don't see that too much anymore. Got to the room. Nice, homey room. Dated tv. I did like the amount of lights around the room. I love the fan in the bathroom. Shower head was great. Water pressure was good. I loved the vanity in the bathroom. Did have one problem, toilet seat popped off. Went to front desk. Showed it to him. I could’ve sworn he said he fixed it. Well, not well enough. He changed our rooms so we had to take all our stuff out and move rooms. Kind of a hassle but we needed a toilet. New room didn’t have an office chair. Like it was missing. Rolled the chair from the previous room to the new one. Fridge & microwave in the room is always clutch. Love Country for that.

This place was clean. The staff was friendly and professional from the counter to the housekeepers. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend to others. Close to Great lakes Bavel Base so if you are coming for a Navy graduation it is perfect.
