They sent us to the wrong room, people were in there. Then after calling while reserving, i asked to make sure there was a spa next to the pool and they told me yes. Well guess what, there isnt! We just drove 3 states for this reason, to enjoy a hot tub for 2 nightd

When we arrived and got to our room the TV did not work. Called the front desk BUT the phone did not work. Maintenance said the TV had no connection. Got new room on 2nd floor. Key didn't work. They had told us wrong room number. Refrigerator froze my insulin! Ask for fridge that worked. NEVER got it. Indoor pool is NOT heated and was freezing. Could not use it. Hot tub is permanently closed. Lobby was beautiful. Hallways were caliber of a motel 8. Room was clean and bedding was great. Continental breakfast is a joke. About 4-5 different sugared cereal, apples and oranges, bagel and yogurt in a tube. That was everything! They did take $75 off our bill for the insulin that froze. Would we stay there again? NEVER! Comfort inn across the street has a great pool and hot tub as well as a great breakfast. Several nice options in the area. Skip this one!

We were warmly welcomed and the person at the desk made sure we had what we needed for an extended stay. The property is under a major renovation, so we got a really good deal on one of the rooms not yet renovated. Our suite showed signs of wear and tear but was otherwise clean. The bed was super comfortable which can make or break a stay for us. All interactions with the staff were positive and helpful. I’m sure this property will be beautiful once the renovation is complete. Breakfast is bare bones and the pool looks really nice but I was here for work and had no time to use it. Parking is plentiful and free. There is a bustling mall with plenty of dining options across a busy road, and it’s very close to the tollway. It’s also close to Great Lakes Naval Base and lots of families are here for boot camp graduation. High recommendations! Thanks for a fantastic stay.

Expedia advertised there is a hot tub. No working hot tub in years. Pool was ice cold. Property needs some TLC…dusty, chipped walls, carpets, etc. breakfast buffet…they were more worried about obtaining the buffet tickets or getting customers to pay to eat than they were about providing warm food or cleaning tables. Be better

Pros: Stayed here for one night after a fun day at Six Flags. Hotel is just up the street so location was great. No issue with the rooms or service. Cons: Breakfast cost extra, we did not buy it. The pool was not heated, it was ice cold. Was an average size pool. Hot tub was closed and boarded over.

We appreciated the cleanliness of the place and the space that we had in our room. The staff wasn't particularly friendly, and the breakfast they provided was lacking (bagel & coffee); it didn't seem like the morning staff was attentive to that. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay.

Hotel was kind of dated. Peeling paint , peeling ceiling , dated carpet. It’s not terrible but it’s seen better days. Breakfast was not good. The front desk young lady was awesome!

I was at this hotel for a week, the room was ok, but the lounge chair was broken so I couldn't sit and lean left. It was kind of outdated in regards to tech. No USB ports, just plug ins. TV was pretty small and most of the channels didn't come in. For the location of where it was, I expected better.

I booked a standard double bed room. There was is no microwave or mini refrigerator in those types of rooms. I don’t know if they have them in a suite, but in a standard there were none. I expected to have those amenities inside of a standard room because anywhere else I stayed it was a standard amenity. The downstairs bar/restaurant was permanently closed. They only serve a breakfast buffet in the mornings for $12 per person and 1 child eats free with per paying adult. The hot tub in the pool area is covered and shut down permanently as well. I was traveling with my family and this hotel did not accommodate my family. I needed a mini refrigerator for juice boxes and nursing milk. It did have a coffee maker in the room but we don’t drink coffee so it was useless for our family needs. Lesson learned we won’t be staying at this property in the future.

Really nice hotel, easy to get to food and shopping, and had a nice big pool. Family friendly, clean. Only downside was that there was no refrigerator in our room. So we got ice to keep water cool overnight. No big deal

The property is very dated. The vanity in the bathroom was detached from the ground. The vanity top in the kitchenette area was stained. The disposable coffee cups supplied in the room were too tall for the coffee maker. The mattress in the pull-out couch had stains and holes, and was very thin. The property was conveniently located and easy to get to.

Very easy to get to, right off the highway. Great to have the option for late checkout added on before arrival so we could plan it into our day. A couple of things to note: Checkout was a long wait due to the line and only one person working in the lobby at the time. Room was incredibly noisy. Couldn’t sleep before 2am because there was just too much noise—kids running and talking loudly in the hall outside of our room, loud noises (heard loud banging sounds multiple times and the sound of doors closing was louder than the tv) from the rooms around us and the level above. Possibly due to our location on the second floor? Some noise was expected on a Friday night, but this was truly excessive and even frustrating at times. I would request a room on a more upper level in the future as I would likely give this hotel another chance.

For the price, you kind of get what you pay for I suppose. Arrives and they said I didn't have a reservation. Showed them everything, it took them 20 minutes to find my info. The bed and the sofa bed were hard. The furniture is beat up. The toilets didn't work right. The tub drains slowly. The thermostats didn't work. The best thing about the place was the free WiFi. I'd recommend staying elsewhere

Front desk told us that the booking doesn’t exist when we got there to check in, then took more than half an hour to figure out our booking. Some rooms A/C doesn’t work. Offered free breakfast when I booked but no breakfast available free. This was a worse experience. Not recommended..

My partner and I had a great stay at Hotel Gurnee. We stayed at the property for one night while on a roadtrip. The hotel itself is modern with a stunning lobby and a large, well-lit parking lot. The staff at the property were very kind. When checking in, we asked the woman assisting us for the best places to get deep dish pizza in the area and her recommendations were spot on. The room we were provided was clean and spacious. I would recommend staying at Hotel Gurnee for a comfortable stay if you're in the area!

I like the fact they had a washer and dryer, but they didn’t have a coin machine. when I first arrived, they said they had breakfast from 6 to 9 and all they had was muffins, cereal, and fruits.

There breakfast was an embarrassing joke. They want to charge you 11.95 for one tray that had scrambled egg, next to diced potatoes and a tray of bacon. That's it for hot! No waffles, pancake,oat meal,toast,etc. Joke

I liked how close the hotel was to Six Flags. I liked the food choices in the lounge. I was not impressed with the breakfast buffet. If I was paying $15 per person per day, I might look elsewhere. I prepaid for $10 so it was ok. The spread was limited and lack healthy choices on 2 of the 3 days that I stayed.
