Indianapolis Marriott East

It was great but under construction and we had to enter a different way. There’s not enough parking right now. The one elevator wasn’t working. But it was a nice room and comfortable. No problems and staff was friendly. Front desk was set up on like yard sale tables with table cloths.

I had to pay for parking! This hotel was not downtown, no reason to have to pay $9 a night in a residential area. This left a very bad taste in my mouth.

Pool was closed. No breakfast bar. Rooms were clean and all the staff was friendly and helpful

Under remodel, only one ice machine working. Rooms were fine though.

It was very close to my work. However, there was no microwave in the room, and the pool and gym were closed.

I was forced to find a room last minute due to furnace failure. I booked this without much research and but I was extremely happy I picked this property. Jeff at the front desk made a terrible day into a much more bearable evening. He was so welcoming, I thought I was a long lost family member. Property was clean, quiet, and comfy. Slept great. Only small complaint is the loud heater blower motor and the fitness room (which is excellent for a hotel) did not have heat working and was only 50 degrees. Nonetheless, I would recommend this property for anyone visiting Indy.

Under construction. No lounge on friday and Saturday. If i had known that before i booked i would have stayed somewhere else.

Good location. Confusing breakfast and the pool is closed. It's a big property, staff are nice but don't seem to know the right information from days to mornings. Ordered basic food for dinner in the dining area, took a very long time. Told it would be a breakfast buffett, then only menu offered. Host was snappy and to not welcoming. Would recommend other local food options overall. Room was clean and expected. Pool/hot closed.... super disappointed. Zero notifications on that prior at bookkeeping

Other then having to pay for parking $9 and breakfast was $23 for one person is was a good hotel.

The room was clean and comfortable. Security was in the parking lot and I felt safe. Adequate amount of privacy. Staff was friendly.

Pretty sure our room had not been properly cleaned before arrival (we didn’t check in until after 8 pm). There was trash in both cans. The washcloths were questionable. The bathroom hadn’t been restocked on TP. I don’t want to think about whether the sheets had been changed or not. The floor of the bathroom was sloped & flooded every time you used the walk-in shower. The toilet had an extremely weak flush & you had to flush multiple times to get even a small bit of TP to go down. We tried multiple times to eat at the restaurant. None of the workers looked at us or recognized we were there waiting for a table, even after standing directly at the bar in front of one of them. Tables were always covered with garbage and crumbs so who knows if they ever bussed or cleaned them.

This hotel had one of the worst smells I’ve experienced at a stay. Every single floor and elevator smelled of bleached and mold.

They have bedbugs

The pillow and bedding smelled like urine to the point i acould not SLEEP. The room was covered in dust. There was urine all over in the bathroom.

Found a spider crawling in my bed. After changing to a second room immediately saw a big fly buzzing around. Both rooms smelled of smoke and was really run down.

The couch in the room is absolutely filthy and has stains all over it and the blow dryer in the bathroom is broken. I expected a lot cleaner and better for what I paid to stay here.

They overbooked the hotel. I was given a different room than I paid for. The room was dirty and had trash under the bed and sofa sleeper. When I questioned it, the gentleman at the front desk lied about my reservation until I showed my confirmation. They sent housekeeping up because there were no linens for the sofa sleeper we were forced to sleep on. The mattress has what looked like blood stains. The linens were gross and has someone else’s hair on them. It was gross and I debated about driving home in the middle of the night. I would never stay here again. Do not recommend.

Just stayed 1 night to attend a concert. The room served it's purpose to sleep. The beds could be more comfortable and the inside of the hotel was very dated. We did not use the pool and have any of the breakfast. Choose that hotel for the vanity of downtown, but not in all the traffic, also the price!

Very nice property, friendly staff, clean, quiet, and safe. Rooms are up and beyond expectations. Late check in was fast and easy with profession and knowledgeable staff (Jeff).

Our room was fantastic!! Newly renovated and beautiful. Great work and design. Loved the shower!!

Outdated, drabby, dirty and smelly too. The elevator was filthy and there was food on the carpet that stayed there the whole time we were guests. Our guest room had no functioning heat, a broken fridge, and a TV that didn't work for the most part. Also, no sound buffer. I was awoken each morning by listening to the guest above me urinate into their toilet.. gross! Overall just not a nice place. Stay somewhere else.

Well, Imessed up. I showed up a day early for my reservation but the check-in staff was excellent and moved my reservation! The room was comfortable but, it seemed to have paper thin walls as i could hear guests talking either in the next room or in the hallway.

When we got there, the bathroom door was damaged, so we switched rooms, but in that room the TV was totally unplugged. So we had to switch rooms again. That room was finally fine.

The hotel needs an update overall. Rooms had only 1 chair, no mini fridge, no USB for cell, no microwave and bad TV reception. We will not be going back!

This hotel was totally fine. I was there for a convention in downtown Indianapolis, and I was very happy with the facilities. The hotel itself is very large, with several conference areas, a large courtyard, and a decent pool. I didn’t go to the restaurant or bar, but it looked nice. My room was large enough for my spouse and I with a king bed. We had plenty of space. The bathroom was a bit on the small side, but the shower was large, so I can’t complain too much. Everything was decently clean, though I did notice a slight smoke smell in the main hallways. I either got used to it or it went away after a day though, so not anything I would complain too much about. As other reviews have said, there were not any USB outlets, but there were plenty of electrical outlets in convenient locations, so just make sure you bring a charger. Perhaps that could be a suggestion to management; replace your alarm clocks with ones that have USB charging ports. The staff was courteous and knowledgeable on the area. Someone was always at the front desk to answer a question, even when I came back late at night. The area around the hotel is fine. If you’re staying here, it’s probably not to visit in a 1 mile radius, but there is easy access to the interstate. There’s a Starbucks nearby, with a few other food options if you didn’t want to eat at the hotel. All together, if you’re staying here as a cheaper alternative to downtown Indianapolis, you’ll be pleased. It met everything I wanted.

The heat in the room was extremely loud. I had to turn the heat off in order to get some sleep but then it got cold.

Room was very nice, but was treated poorly at check in. Staff seemed uninterested in checking us in. Gave us no information regarding the facility.

We stayed for the B1G Championship game. Arrived near 1AM immediately after the game to discover they had our reservation but no room available for us. This was despite my coming into the hotel in person 12 hours earlier to pre-check in and confirming my credit card, ID and getting a parking pass for their lot with the desk clerk. She informed me that our room wasn't ready at 1PM (as expected) so we had no key cards or room number given to us (also as expected). The night clerk took 20 min including determining that all the hotels immediately around them had no rooms either. Eventually, to his credit, he gave us a room that had been assigned to someone else who hadn't shown up yet which probably caused problems for him with someone else later. We did not get the king bed room we booked as a result but at least we had somewhere to sleep. Further irritating, the cleaning staff left the alarm turned on which went off somewhat early and they stocked the coffee maker with only decaffeinated coffee.

Never had a chance to stay. When I arrived was notified they overbooked the hotel and did not have any rooms for me. When I asked what are you going to do to fix the situation they eventually found us another Marriott that had room about 20 minutes away. Was very frustrating but in the end they did take care of things.

The customer service from Ariana and the young man in the sort cost. Slim build. I believe his name begin with a T. Apologies i forgot his name. I'd return to this establishment simply because those two. Although there were several sports teams there and kids running through the hall. The level of service these two provided made that a non factor. If my company was in Indianapolis. I'd recruit them immediately

We were in town for a pool tournament and the staff were all so nice and accommodating. Our door broke and they were there in about 15 minutes to fix it. We had wonderful service our entire stay. Thanks for a great weekend!

We had a great stay. Came to town for the Fever game and enjoyed a great stay. Jeff was awesome!

Jeff who checked us in was exceptional, he set the tone for the stay. What an asset, you can’t buy that type of customer service. Thank you very much for hiring him.

The night staff Deshawn literally yelled at me. He asked for my ID I handed it to him and he took it and reviewed it and returned it to me without incident. He asked for my credit card for incidentals and I attempted to hand it to him but he ignored me so I sat it on the counter until he was ready to take it. I waited then he yelled “your credit card” it shocked me so I just pointed to my card on the counter. He yelled at me again “your credit card”. I could not believe how rude and disrespectful he was now being. I didn’t respond in kind but I did point out to him that he yelling at me which was totally unnecessary. He then rudely told me to insert it and nodded downward with his head. I didn’t realize my purse was on top of the credit card machine. When I asked a question he responded as if I was a nuisance. He was even belligerent when I requested an additional key card. It truly made me feel unsafe and uncomfortable. I did let the morning staff Faith know what happened but I will never stay there again. Staff who feel comfortable displaying that level of meanness have typically been emboldened to do so.

A great stay. Close to downtown. Clean rooms. Friendly staff. We will be back.

There is very little choice in a 5 mile radius for restaurants. The area is not that safe. Check in was easy and fast.

Undergoing renovation. Very old property in a very old and run down area. Difficult to get around on property. Much like an old hospital that has had many additions. Was probably once an excellent Business Conference Center but all of that has obviously shifted to another area of Indianapolis. Desk staff was not professional. Very casual conversations with each other going on while conducting your transaction. As a guest, you felt like a distraction. Not up to Marriott standards. Unless area improved this may be a difficult property for Marriott to recover even with renovations.

The property itself was dirty. There was trash in a hallways and elevators. The surrounding area is rundown and ghetto. There's panhandlers and homeless in the streets.

I liked everything about this hotel, but wish they had a designated area for pets to go potty. I didn’t want to go out back at night. It didn’t feel safe, as I was a woman traveling alone.

Dark parking lots. Guests from previous night warned us of car break ins. Flowers were beautiful in entry way!!

No continal breakfast 23 dollars is way high for breakfast .

Front desk staff was very friendly and very helpful. Restaurant was far from that. Called to order food and was on hold for around 20 minutes and no one came back to the phone. Hung up and front desk took my order to help me out. Picked up food and it was wrong and I had to go back downstairs and get the rest of my order. Got a baked potato and was given no utensils to eat with and ordered a cheeseburger and got absolutely no condiments with it. Restaurant definitely needs some work. Food and service was terrible. For paying $50 for 2 small meals you’d think you get utensils and some condiments.

I like this property. They didn't provide food because Health and Saftey shut them down. Concerning. But mice are hard to catch!

They are remolding right now. The front desk is located very far away. There was no dining options at the hotel like advertised.

I nly stayed one night on business. Felt the breakfast weas way over priced for what was offered...restaruant was fine as was the bar area.

Restaurant and bar had horrible service, room was decent and clean, won’t be back to this property
