Great location to stadium and convention center, several dining options within walking distance. Cool history in the renovation of the former train shed and central station into rooms and meeting spaces. There is no self parking so you have to pay $50 foot valet or park in one of city parking garages and walk. City garages only charge $15-20 while I was there but do require you to walk a few blocks which some people may not like.

When we were booking, we clearly saw very nice pictures of a pool. After spending the night, in the morning we put on our swimsuits to go to the pool only to find out that they dont have a swimming pool. They said they used to but closed it down. Seem3d bery misleading since they had pictures. Other than that the hotel was nice and it was also quiet from what we experienced. You do have to pay 50$ for parking as well.

This was our third time staying at the Crowne Plaza. We obviously like it admit has b come our go to when we need to visit downtown Indy. It’s always nice, super clean and close to where we need to go. This time, we were disappointed to find out the pool was gone. Pools are always important for us when choosing a hotel b/c we have a younger child who likes to swim and it’s always an added bonus for when we have down time.

We enjoyed our stay and the staff was great!!! The condition of our room was below average. There is a layer of dust on the baseboards, loose floor tiles in the bathroom, scrapes and chunks out of the walls, some electrical outlets weren’t working, mold on wall and exhaust vent in the bathroom, and the beds ARE HORRIBLE!!! No cushion to them at all, it was like sleeping on a concrete floor!!

The concept is really unique with this being a active train station. However the rooms are dated and are in serious need of upgrades. The room needs at least a deep cleaning. Parking is also very difficult to find. I would not stay here again.

Valet damaged my truck, there’s black mold in the bathroom, couldn’t access our room when checked in because of all the housekeeping garbage outside our door, the staff was not attentive and no sense of urgency. I’ve stayed at several Crowne Plaza Hotels and this was such a horrible experience. So disappointed in this location and I we were in town for my twins wedding and spent 8 hrs driving to it just to be disappointed with the hotel and valet for damaging my new pick up.

The parking was ridiculous. You do not get any assistance with your bags unless you choose to valet. When I came in there was a lady at the desk, yet I stood there for 10 minutes before finally asking for help to check in. As soon as I was given my keys for my room, I was notified that I had just been charged for my stay, even though they said I wouldn't be charged until checkout. The room was dirty. There were drips of liquid down the bathroom sink cabinet, the tub was brown, the drop ceiling was missing and our nightstand had white spillage all down the front and sides. The indoor pool was so uncomfortably cold, that I didn't even get in. My kids got out after 5 minutes, and I watched every family come and go almost immediately. We got out of the pool, only to find a pile of dirty towels on the ground and zero clean ones. We ended up having to pay to go somewhere else for our kids to swim in the evenings.

The hotel had a fun theme, I didn’t realize there was a full size train inside that had rooms in cars. Our room was like being in a cave, I had no window to the outside. I was disappointed not to be able to see the Grand Hall, because it was closed to the public. I hoped that being a hotel guest would qualify me, but it didn’t. It took the hot water about 10 min to warm up for my shower. The hotel was clean and in a great location if attending a conference or stadium event. If you don’t want to pay for valet, it’s a bit of a walk to the parking garage.

We stayed here to have a unique date night. We had fun for the amount of time we were there, but the mattress was not great. The bed was old, dated, and noisy. We stayed in a car room, which was pretty cool. The bathroom was tiny, but there's not much room to work with, so it was fine for the space they were given. Overall, I probably wouldn't pick it again solely because of the mattress quality.

We liked the room and location of the hotel as we were in town for a Colts game.Our room was located on the second level by the elevator and every time the elevator was activated there was a very loud humming noise very annoying when trying to sleep.

The bed and pillows were exceptional compared to other hotels. Sleeping in the trim cars is a unique experience. This time our room was on the active side, prefer to be on the green side but it was a night we will talk about for years to come.

The hotel was clean and very unique! Staying in a train car was a lot of fun, but there were a couple drawbacks. All the windows in the room face directly into the hallway, so you really have the shades down 24/7, and you can hear every word that your train car neighbors are saying like they are in your own room. Still a fun and unique experience, but there were a few things to know!

in the morning there was no hot water, but after breakfast (around 11am) there was hot water the key cards were a bit iffy in opening the door. it takes a few tries the rooms seem a bit dark, probably because it's only lamps and no over head lighting.

Tyneia helped us out not only during check-in, but was communicative and helpful throughout our entire stay! She is a rockstar and we will definitely be staying here again next time in Indy specifically because she was so great! Also, the train car rooms were awesome and unique.

The check in was awful. The woman working was very rude. She knew our reservation had not been honored but said nothing. When we went back to the desk to complain, she simply said they were out of double rooms. She offered to move us to a "Queen Executive" room but refused to explain what that was. Finally, she gave us a breakfast coupons and told us breakfast was served until noon the next day. It was not. Two other employees were standing right there. They heard her say it and did not correct her. We went to go to breakfast after we checked out at 11 and everything was shut down.

We got an early check in, which was AMAZING. but the more we stayed, the more things went downhill. we went to the bar and the chair i sat in ended up having the foot step fall off. so they don't keep up with maintenance. the bar tender ended up charging me for someone elses bill and I had to correct him. they said there was breakfast, but you get charged, wouldve been nice to know, especially when the food is ICE COLD. there is so much construction you have to park blocks away. and the cherry on top of it all, we got barged in on by house keeping when we had just gotten out of the shower. TWO KNOCKS and they put the key card in and tried walking in. thank the lord for locks. its just so disappointing that i paid SO much for one night and it was absolutely miserable. the bed is super comfortable, that was the only nice thing.

I’ve never experienced a friendlier staff in EVERY area. The front desk staff at ALL hours was incredible, the wait staff at breakfast went out of their way to accommodate us every morning and started each day off with a positive vibe, the housekeeping staff also went out of their way and did a fantastic job. From top to bottom the staff were incredible. I’ve stayed at higher end hotels but have never had such great service.

The hotel didn’t utilize the fully paid for hotels.com reservation that I supplied upon check in. However, they charged my credit card for the entire stay. We paid $36 for the hot breakfast buffet and was even given the times for breakfast upon check in BUT was told in the morning that there’s not enough guests to offer a buffet. No apologies, no refunds. I’ve made countless calls to the hotel trying to get the billing issues resolved to no avail and now, we’re 10 days into it. Hotels.com has been of no use in resolving any of these issues either. To make matters worse, my husband of nearly 30 years left his wedding band in the shower. He realized it when heading towards the airport. The hotel was contacted immediately and referred to a website that deals with lost and found. After paying a sizable fee, we breathed a sigh of relief it was found. Guess what? As of today, the ring has not been returned just like the countless calls to the Crown Plaza’s manager asking for help in getting this resolved. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a beautifully unique upscale hotel and we had hoped to go back to stay in the train car suites in Feb ‘24 with our grandchild but unless they can properly address the current issues, it’d be a cold day in Hell before I’d stay there again and I’d have very serious reservations about handing them access to my credit cards because of how reckless they’ve handled the one they had access to up until this point. I’ll update you if we find resolution.

Overall my stay was satisfactory. I had requested a late checkout at 2pm and when I went to my room at 1:30 to pack up, my key card was disabled so I had to go down to front desk. They said, “oh we were waiting for you”. I went and was packing up, about ready to walk out the door and at 159pm, someone keyed open my door and walked in without knocking. I get that you’re busy, but I found that very unprofessional. It makes me hesitate wanting to stay again.

I have been waiting for well over an hour to get into my room because my card won’t work. This is ridiculous. The on staff worker has to call an engineer because they can’t figure out how to get the card to work after repeated attempts. How can you run a hotel if you can’t even get guests into the room? Unique hotel attached to train station, indoor train cars could be booked as hotel rooms. Very clean hotel and rooms, very spacious King size room, friendly staff, plenty of restaurants surrounding hotel, easy to walk and was right close to our designated venue which was the gainbridge arena. Hotel also has skywalk to convention center. Although surrounded by construction and some unhoused folks in the area, not a problem at all, still felt safe and once construction completed the area will be even better! Very impressed with what's happening in downtown Indianapolis. Would definitely stay here again!

The Crowne is so cool looking and it’s still an active train station! The industrial feel was honestly pretty cozy! They have rooms inside of old train cars…we didn’t get one of them but our room was spacious and overlooked the common area. Walking distance to Lucas Oil Stadium and many delicious restaurants. And directly across from the convention center, with a bridge that is attached on the 2nd level.

Overall we were pleased with our stay, unfortunately we had a bad experience at check in. We drove 4 hours to specifically stay in a train car for our train obsessed toddler. When we arrived we were told that all the train car rooms were full even though we had booked one. The woman at the desk was incredibly rude and implied that it was our fault since we had booked through a 3rd party. She didn’t even offer to have us move to a train car the next day until I asked if it was a possibility. We received a complimentary breakfast for the next day due to the error (which was terrible-would not recommend). When we went to the desk the next day to switch rooms, the staff was much friendlier and seemed shocked that we were told that all the train rooms were filled the night before. Her reaction led us to believe that the hassle of having to switch rooms could have been avoided. She gave us two more days worth of breakfast coupons for the inconvenience. We appreciated the thought but did not use them due to the bad experience at the restaurant earlier. Valet was great, especially with the in and out privileges. They were all very kind and quick. Housekeeping did a great job and room was always very clean. The kids loved the train room and it was a fun experience. We just wish we would have received the room we booked from the start.

One of the best hotels I have stayed at in a while. Minus the construction next door, everything was great. The hotel is absolutely beautiful. I really appreciated the cleanliness and quiet that you don't always get. The bartender we encountered was wonderful as well as the reat of the staff. They were very helpful and kind.

My daughter and I stayed her for 2 nights. The staff was exceptional, and very attentive. The first night we ate at the hotel restaurant Taggart’s. The food was beyond amazing and the staff was fantastic. I highly recommend staying here.

They hotel was under renovation and the lounge was "make shift" and the elevator area was under renovation as well. Also noted at $400 a night there is NOTHING provided such as a few complementary bottled waters in the room. The location is great for the convention center.
