Quick overnight stop in Hays with family. Nice hotel for price. Beds were extremely comfortable. Pet friendly as well. Hotel was a little dated but had numerous renovations that made it a little nicer. Very basic breakfast. We did a grab and go to get back on the road.

Even though we checked in close to midnight the front desk staff were friendly. Loved that the floors were not carpeted since it is a pet friendly place. Our pup had no issues. Breakfast was fine nothing crazy but did the job. Would recommend this hotel for pets, and as a budget friendly clean option.

It was okay for the one night as we traveled. Bed was comfortable, pet friendly $10/per pet. The free breakfast consisted of cereal, ziplocs of bread, mini muffins, yogurt containers. Negatives: Black stuff blew out from the a/c unit, not sure what that was but it was on the floor. The area outside was full of dog poop in the snow/ice.

So after the unpleasant stay at Baymont Hotel in Haubstadt, IN, this Econo Lodge feels like an excellent stay. Excellent service from the guy at the front desk at early 6-7am breakfast time. Nice location, easy entrance and parking, more breakfast items than Baymont at the same time period of 6-7am. The room is standard and clean, but the AC is more quiet than Baymont's. Thumbs up for the front desk guy, so sorry I missed his name. Thanks.

I didn't like being on the second floor. Had my elderly parents and the steps were hard for them. The carpet had stripes which made the stairs deceiving. Overall was ok.

Overall, this is a good option if you're trying to save money without compromising too much on your stay standards. The parking situation out back is a bit sketch-had to walk around the hotel to get inside..not convenient-but good fast service and a good room overall. Carpets are very stained in our room but that's really my only complaint.

The general manager tried to be nice, so that was the positive however there were unclean beds with hair, nail clippings and dirty cup marks on the tables. It was a disgusting experience

Room was not well cleaned from previous people staying. Lightbulb was burned out and shower drain was broken. Long hairs on the bathroom sink, AC was extremely loud and did not cool the room very well.

The room I checked into was not clean. Something was sticky underneath the bed and had hair all over in it. There is hair on the mattress and blanket and sheets. The bathroom had not been cleaned. Hair in the tub, toilet and sink. There was dirt on the floor. The refrigerator did not work and stunk Like something was rotten in it. There is rust in multiple areas of the rooms. I did get put into another room. That was a little cleaner. This is a place I would not recommend to stay at all.

The room smelled good and fresh upon entering, an unusual but appreciated trait in a hotel room. Bed sheets were clean and crisp. I could tell room had been cleaned and care taken to provide a clean experience. The only negative things I noted were it could use door sweeps, as light from hallway brightened up the room at night, and a few things like a hole in wall behind toilet, but those cosmetic things, especially in an older building can be expected. What was most important to me and I liked best was the smell and cleanliness of the room which was top notch. Great place to stay for a quick night on our cross country trip.- good job, Econolodge!

My wife and I stayed for one night as we were passing through Kansas. We were both struck by the pristine cleanliness of our room and the common areas. The staff was very friendly and with every encounter we were asked if we needed anything and told if we had any questions to let them know. The only somewhat negative thing i noticed was that someone had damaged the inside of the bathroom door and the robe hook was very loose and hanging awkwardly. Wjen we left i made a point of letting the staff know how pleased we were with our stay and in particular, the cleanliness of their hotel. I dont normally go out of my way to mention something lime that or for that matter to review a place. This hotel i definitely recommend!

The room & lobby were exceptionally clean. Surprised that I received cleaning services 4 out of my 5 night stay. Also pleased that shampoo/ conditioner were dispensed in the shower so no useless plastic bottles that get 1/2 used & thrown away. Great water pressure, comfortable bed, fast internet. Courteous competent staff.

Beds wore out, feel like you’re falling off edge. Air conditioners need updated, cools but room is very humid. Morning breakfast was normal choices you get anywhere. Like that there’s no carpet in rooms, feels cleaner.

The room remodel seemed recent. Temp of room was good even though it was very cold outside. Good hot shower. Good breakfast variety with 6-8 hot options. The bed was not the best quality but I slept without issue which is great. There was a bit of a disturbance in the hallway at 1:30 am which kept us awake for about 20 minutes. Loud persistent knocking, talking, arguing, It was in the hall at the room next to ours but settled down before we needed to call the office. Just one of those things I guess. I would not be afraid to stay again. The motel is between two fast food restaurants. That was handy for late night ice cream.

The staff were very kind, but the air conditioner switched on and off all night and was SO loud. When I tried turning it off it was super hot in the room. Bed was very comfortable but the AC situation made it hard to sleep.

Everything was pretty good, the only thing I didn’t like was the fact that instead of a password for the WiFi you go to a website that you would have to click yes for terms and services in order to use it, it doesn’t seem very secure but other then that it was a good vibe there

The hotel has been recently remodeled. They need to clean the floor a little better between the bed and night stands. The electric and computer outlets nearest the wall side of the bed did not work. The breakfast is basic and when it runs out there is NO breakfast. Get there early. We do not recommend the pancake machine. It worked for our one night passing through Hays.

Stopped overnight as part of a continuous trip with our pet. Staff friendly, room clean with air conditioning. Bathroom could use an update, rust on tub/shower. Breakfast consisted of 4” pancakes, 4” scrambled egg patty, sausage links, toast, 2”muffins, 4 oz yogurt, juice and coffee. Cereals and milk.

The room was nice for the price. The breakfast was described as “Buffet” and it was just a continental breakfast with limited eggs and sausage. I understand not having waste but you have to keep on asking for more when the room is full which takes more time. Disappointing. The staff was nice and helpful. Bring back the waffle maker, the pancake maker has been on the Fritz. Great idea but too many moving parts.
