Sleep Inn & Suites Hays I-70

Our stay was nice. We stayed one night for graduation weekend. Our boys swam in the pool. They said it was nice and warm. Lots to do in the area. Bed was nice. Bathroom was quite large. Shower was nice but pressure was so so. I’m guessing everyone else in the hotel was taking a shower. Breakfast was okay. Eating room is quite small so we ate upstairs. Food was good. Wish there was sausage but bacon was good. Love the waffle options. Room was a nice size and we would stay again.

Good clean hotel / room for the price. Parking (with a trailer) was a little challenging. Breakfast was so so.

Unfortunately, we weren’t able to stay at Sleepinn because they had to cancel our hotel reservation due to their elevator not working and then didn’t even give the courtesy to reach out to hotels.com to get my refund. Even worst, when I had to reach out to hotels.com to request refund they declined the request and said the policy on my reservation was non- refundable. I am furious because the cancellation wasn’t even my fault and the front desk clerk was acting like getting a refund would be no big deal. I’m very disappointed with the lack of understanding from hotels.com. I will never book a hotel reservation through them again. And keep in mind it was so hard to talk to a real person about the situation. The only communication they gave me was through online texting and email even though I directly asked for a phone number so that I could have SleepInn call them and explain the situation themselves.

Clean spacious room with nice pool!

This was a NIGHTMARE from booking through leaving. Refused to honor AAA discount. Desk staff acted like we were putting them out during check-in & each time we asked to get the keys fixed. The 2 on duty when we checked in looked sloppy & dirty - add that to the horrible attitude - made me wish we had just walked out & found other accommodations, because it sure foretold how bad the entire stay ended up going. NEVER got the door keys to work properly (either worked to get in the doors OR the room, but never both) Fix attempted multiple times each day during the entire stay, by multiple staff. Indoor pool was ICE cold, impossible to swim in. We are taking another 10 day vacation in a couple weeks - we will NOT stay in this chain EVER AGAIN!

The rooms were nice and clean. The elevator was out of order, so very difficult going upstairs with luggage and being elderly plus respiratory issues. Stairs were filthy.

Terrible hotel. Motel 6 or lower quality. No staff. Elevator broken. Charged $300 for one night just because of limited availablilty to gouge and take advantage of weary customers. There was ONE guy there all night doing his best, but he could only do so much. He said they were "sold out," but that was a lie. He first gave me a room on the 2nd floor. I asked for a higher one and he gave me one on the 4th floor. He had rooms. There's no need to increase the price so drastically. One of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. Calling Expedia to see if they can do something. It was terribly falsely advertised

Wonderful man at check in, hotel is so clean and well kept. Staff was wonderful. Breakfast was good with scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles, & more. Parking was good for cars and pickups but larger would be a challenge.

Pool was closed and had to go next door to use these. Bathroom door did not close right. Place was clean and people friendly. Coffee was good. Room fridge way too small.

Great facility. Bathroom shower didn’t look cleaned but all else was sufficiently cleaned. Very spacious! Pool are was perfect with plenty of towels, comfortable chairs and access to the outside parking.

Room was not clean, bedspreads had stains on them. When we went up to our room the door was already open. It’s an older hotel that they have had re done and it just wasn’t very clean.

The window seal was disgusting, looks like it has never been clean. A piece of used floss was still lying on the floor of the bathroom. Very outdated hotel.

We just stayed over night as a resting place, but it just did not give a clean vibe and their were bugs crawling on the floor of our room.

This property is fair for the price level. It is located right off the interstate. We did not notice road noise in our room. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. The facility is clean although a little dated. The breakfast was modest but fair considering the price point. The air conditioning was efficient but a bit loud.

Staff was decent you have to ring a bell to get their attention at all times but the bell works. Morning worker on check out was very short and to the point, a little dismissive but maybe they were having a rough day. Overall for one night it's a great cheap option. Lock to bathroom door was broken and vent fan didn't work. Minor inconvenience.

No surprises. Nice quiet comfortable room.

Front desk prompt and cheerful at check in. Beds were comfortable, shower was very cool. Room was large, everything worked as expected.

Hotel is in a convenient location. Beds are comfortable. Toilet had issues with flushing. Shower leaked out the top. Hard to keep room at comfortable temperature.

Basic for the price. Tiny TV’s and tiny pillows. Outdated. But our room was clean.

This is such a nice and clean hotel. The rooms were clean. We had a suite and it was comfortable and roomy enough for 3 kids. Bathroom was a nice size and it had a nice tub to bathe in A newer hotel. Sleep Inns have always been a pleasant experience.

Desk clerk RUDE! Appeared unclean. Room was sticky. Sink didn’t drain. Light switch didn’t work. Air conditioner wasn’t adjustable. No place to hang or sit toiletries. This place shouldn’t be listed with Hotels.com

The check in process was horrible. I got into the lobby and rang the bell, as I rang it the clerk who was a younger gentleman, looked annoyed that I was even there. He did not greet me, just asked what the name was. I gave him my name, and he asked for license and credit card without any other words. He then asked if I knew my tag number which I said no, he said "you need to go get it". By this point I was annoyed with his attitude and unprofessionalism so I sighed loudly went out got the number came back and said it to him. He asked if I needed more than one key, I said two. He activated them and handed them to me, did not say thank you, did not tell me what room I was in, did not say another word to me. There was a line of customers behind me, I don't know if he was as rude to them as he was to me but it ruined my mood, as I was already tired and emotional. I walked in the room and was disappointed at how dated it looked, the bathroom didn't even have any counter space, just some old piece of wood. Where are we supposed to put all our toiletries on the floor? This place had great reviews I do not see how. Just the interaction I had with the check in clerk was enough for me to never ever return to this place. Or any Sleep In for that matter.

Our stay was great! The front desk person was fantastic!!!! The room was clean and quiet! Definitely will come back!!

Overall, the hotel was fine. Room was spacious and clean. Staff were rarely at the front desk, so had to ring a bell and wait. The breakfast area was not well stocked, well staffed or very clean when we went to eat.

A clean,comfortable room with relaxing decor. Staff was warm, friendly and helpful. I was able to walk to a nearby restaurant recommended by staff. Breakfast was delicious, the best.

The stay was good, we had play offs customer service was awesome, shout out to Mr. Morales very pleasant man :)

We were traveling late to try to get to our destination and made a late afternoon reservation at this motel. Was very pleasantly surprised by the nice facility, friendly staff, and overall great condition of this motel. Out room was clean, updated and very nice. All facilities were in top-notch condition. We were able to walk to a nearby IHOP for a late dinner and head a very enjoyable evening. Only complaint it the parking. We were driving a pickup pulling a UHaul trailer and had difficultly finding a place to park which wouldn't impede other guests' access. Overall, though, an excellent facility that we'll use again should the need arise.

The hotel has free on-site parking, seems very safe, and was clean and comfortable. The check in person was very friendly and gave a great recommendation for dinner at Thirsty's.

It was okay, mostly the staff was quite helpful. The breakfast was dismal for diners looking for healthy, vegan options.

Weird shower was very slippery. Sausage gravy was disgusting. The rest of breakfast was good.

The breakfast was extremely snall and packed with people. By the time i got downstairs at 8 am, there was nothing left and nowhere to sit. I tried again at 8:30 , not even a bagel. Very disappointed 😞

We arrived late in the evening and check in went super quick. My only complaint was that breakfast options started to dwindle around the halfway point. The rest of my family didn’t have all the options I had because they came down 30 minutes after I did. The rest of the stay was great though!

Great overnight stop. Let’s be honest, this is not a 5 star hotel. But that shouldn’t mean it can’t get five stars for its category. Everything was nice for a basic hotel. Room was clean, beds were comfy, towels were plush, check-in was seamless, and the included breakkfast was amazing - tons of options and all good! Plus, the citrus water in the lobby was delicious. Kudos. Seems like this place is nicer now than it was during some older reviews.
