Rarely say this but DO NOT stay here, To start our stay...we arrived with a sign at the desk saying temporarily unavailable, Approx 10 min later the worker walked in carrying a pizza, we were not the only ones waiting at this point. We checked and went to our room, ice machine in the hall was broken, (sign saying there was an alternative one somewhere) pool was closed - which looked beautiful on the website, pretty sure had not been open in a long time, air conditioner in the room worked on and off, sink had rust in it, shower had green soap residual from a prior guest (we did not use). Sheet was on inside out, hoping that was an error and it hadn't just been flipped over. Breakfast was basically nothing. The grounds had high grass and tall weeds. About a half a roll of toilet paper and the kleenex box was empty.

I was initially impressed at first by the room set up and the fact the room had no odor at all. Once I turned the air condition on the room began to have a smell. Every time I went to the bathroom at night, I would see roaches and not the same ones. I killed any I saw but more came out. Also, Hays use to be a sundown town and feels a little like that still. The bathroom needs remodeling especially the tub where the surfaces were rough and the grout dirty.

This is the place you stay only if you can't drive any further and it's the only place not filled up. It might be worth $50 if you just had to? But they charge top rates. I paid $105.00 and could have paid $20 more for a really nice room at another hotel. EVERYTHING is old and nasty, towels, tub, bedding, bugs in the rooms and several flys.. they did have a good TV ... Pass it by unless you are just too desperate

The swimming pool was not functional. Only had half a roll of TP. The remote for the TV did not function. A coakroach was in the sink, and a brown spider in the bathtub. Breakfast was very minimal, could not keep up with the number of guests wanting to eat.
