Great hotel overall! Very accommodating. My flight got cancelled and it was 11pm at night trying to find a hotel. They had availability and a shuffle from the airport to the hotel at midnight. I would definitely stay there whenever I am in DC!

Staff was great, Hotel was in a great spot for getting to the metro and the mall. Good food near by. Used as a halfway point to meet my wife, it was cozy, and the coffee was good. They were working on updating the restaurants and cafe, so some of that was not available unfortunately.

First and Last Stay – North Tower This was hands down one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. Let me be clear: this review is only for the North Tower, but it was bad enough that I will never stay here again. When I checked into my first room on the 10th floor Friday night, I was disgusted. The bathroom was filthy — stains in the sink and tub that looked like they hadn’t been properly cleaned in ages. I immediately took photos and went back to the front desk. Thankfully, John (front desk) was professional and apologetic, and quickly worked to move me to another room. He offered complimentary garage parking (useless since my car was fine on the street), but did give me breakfast vouchers as an apology. The new room on the 12th floor looked better at first glance, but the shower drain was so slow that I ended up standing in inches of dirty water every time I showered. Absolutely disgusting — I had to rewash my feet after every shower. As if that wasn’t enough, the elevators were painfully slow. Since I had business on the 14th floor, I tried taking the stairs. That was somehow worse — the stairwells were crawling with huge roaches. I reported it to the front desk immediately, but by the time I left Sunday, they were still there. Between the dirty bathrooms, broken plumbing, useless elevators, and cockroach-infested stairwells, this place is completely unacceptable. The only saving grace was John at the front desk, who at least tried to make up for the hotel’s fai

This stay was terrible for us. We specially picked this hotel because we were under the assumption there was a pool as well as laundry services. However we were disappointed for sure. To start they charged 100$ extra a night for security deposit which wouldn't be refunded until after we checked out for 3-4 business days. On top of that the parking garage for the hotel was an extra 51$ a night. So don't be mistaken by the online pricing. Our room was damp/ humid, the light from the bathroom shower was hanging out of the ceiling by a foot, the pool was completely EMPTY and closed! This was terribly disappointing as I was staying with my kids there for multiple nights. We really needed to do laundry which was another reason we chose this property. However the laundry was across the street from the front entrance- and the quarter machine did not work. We asked for quarters in the hotel and they had none and told us to walk to Whole Foods to get some. So we did, and then one of the dryers was broken so we had to wait for other people to finish to dry our clothes. All in all this was a stressful and not pleasant experience for us. We will not be staying at a doubletree again.

Elevators need service, no coffee in the lobby, we did not receive a goody bag with waters and snacks. No pool, the skyline I’m sure is amazing to see , BUT the menu is NOT family friendly and outrageously expensive. Escalators were out of order. Access to the outside is limited to parking garage area. Construction around hotel, had issues with air conditioner not working on check out and had to move rooms. Elevators and hallways uncomfortably hot. Maid service however is excellent for rooms.all in all I do not recommend, and would not stay there again.

Close to DC, bring small vehicle parking garage is very tight. Room was nice. Staff were friendly. Make sure to budget for the extra $$$ for parking at the hotel. Way to expensive.

The Doubletree Hilton Crystal City is a lovely hotel in a convenient location. The price was reasonable and the keyless check-in / entry is fantastic. The parking is horrendous. We had to make a few trips in and out of the garage to visit a friend and dreaded returning to the lot. There are columns making the structure very difficult to navigate and we saw cars parking anywhere, in multiple different positions, making turns near impossible.

For how much you spend here (as well as being considered a 4 star hotel), the rooms were not well kept. As I walked into my room and went into the bathroom, I saw a dried up bloody towel on my counter. It made me feel like the room hasn't been cleaned nor touched in a bit. When I asked for someone to come pick up the towel, I was given a lot of excuses as to what is on the towel. The house cleaning supervisor was trying to tell me it's ketchup and I was trying to tell her it shouldn't have been here in the first place. I also had trouble with one of the tvs in the room. Another person came up to help, but this time with an attitude. he kept asking me "where is this bloody towel" as if I was making up the story. I told him someone already picked it up before. The curtains were also ripped off from their bar. For a one bedroom suite, you would expect something better than this. The front desk employees were cordial, but the rest of the people that worked there seemed extremely stand-offish and at other times, downright rude. It's a shame because this hotel has some great history for our area especially with the hotel having the skydome. My advice is eat at the skydome, but maybe stay somewhere else. I live in the area and when people come into town, I'm not sure I'd tell them to stay there.

The parking is extremely expensive. Almost 50 dollars per day. When I arrived at 6pm ish the room wasn’t ready. They discounted the extreme parking cost to make it up. Upon leaving the room for my last day we found an extremely rotten bagel that was under the bed by the table. Very disgusting and annoyed we had to spend the days with that under the bed. The employee Jordan was a great help and I notified the person upon leaving to clean up the room properly before the next stay so they don’t have to find a rotten food in the room.

Front desk staff was good. Our room temperature was at 78 and we could not change it. Had to get someone from engineering to fix it. We had no hot water the next morning. We ate dinner at the Skydome. The view was great but not the service. Our server acted as though he did not want to wait on us. The hostess took our drink order and brought them to us. We had to wait 20 minutes to give our food order, then another 40 to get the food. Our steak and burger were both room temperature at best. We were never asked if we wanted another drink.

Rooms were very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. Our curtains had a rip in them and apparently to accommodate the large AC unit they cut the left side of the curtains short and a lot of light got in. The AC unit did not seem to ever kick on and the room got very hot at night. Also we went to the market at 9:15 am where you were supposed to be able to get hot breakfast food to go and they said they were out of everything. The staff did their best to accommodate with what they had available to them though and were very friendly.

My recent stay at the DoubleTree by Hilton was, unfortunately, below the level of quality I’ve come to expect from the brand. Upon arrival, parking was convenient; however, the surrounding area was poorly lit, with one side of the street completely dark and minimal lighting from the opposite side. As this was my first stay at this property, the lack of lighting created an uneasy first impression regarding safety. Check-in was smooth, and the first evening was pleasant. The following morning, however, the hallway was filled with leftover party decorations that were not removed by housekeeping until the next day, despite staff walking past multiple times. This gave the impression that cleanliness and attention to detail were not a priority. Later in my stay, I requested additional towels that were never delivered—even after personally speaking with the front desk. Upon checkout, the front desk associate did not inquire about my stay or offer any closing acknowledgment, which left me feeling unappreciated as a guest. While there were some positive aspects of my visit, these service lapses and missed opportunities for hospitality diminished the overall experience. I hope this feedback can be used constructively to ensure future guests receive the attentive and welcoming service the DoubleTree brand is known for.

The employee on duty when I checked in was amazing. My flights have been changed several times resulting in me having to leave 15 hours later than planned. She immediately offered me a late check out so that I wouldn’t have to wander around DC. My room was clean, incredibly comfortable, and despite a rather large conference being held at the hotel, I heard absolutely no noise. Wonderful stay. Oh, and I had no idea I was essentially next-door to the Pentagon.

Communicarion is very poor, i was not told at check in that the street will be closed off from 5 to 8 on 9/8. We could not get into the hotel woth uber. There were no cookies at check in or when i asked again at check out. There was almost no toilet paper on the roll and no extra in bathroom, i noticed too late at night to call for more.

First they had record of my reservation!!!! Had to wait for an hour for them to find it. Then wanted me to pay an extra 200$ for insurance which I had no idea about. Once they found it, they gave me my key. The next day my room was locked and we couldn’t get in. Went to the front desk and they said they locked it because they had no card on file because for insurance. Felt embarrassed because security had to walk me up to unlock my door even after we paid the extra money. I won’t use Expedia again or doubletree again. The check in Night Customer Service was poor.The Agent(black agent), spelled my name incorrectly and told me I did not have a reservation. I had given him the information from Orbit(third party) that clearly showed I had a reservation, but he look at me as if he wanted me to go away. He treated the white customers well, but as soon as he saw me(I am black), he became very rigid and stern. Finally, Parking Level II wreaked with urine; and dirty laundry was in the hanging out of the containers.

I was directed to another hotel 25 minutes away which resulted in a 45 minute commute to my meeting the next morning instead of the 5 min walk from the hotel as I had planned. Great location! I arrived around 2pm. I read a review where someone said the parking garage filled up quickly so I got there early to avoid that. Upon checking in, I was given a cute little Hilton paper bag with two bottled waters and a DoubleTree warm chocolate chip cooke. Delicious! The water was much appreciated as there was a heat advisory this weekend. The hotel room itself was nice and clean although there was some dust floating around. The bathroom is a bit small. But the staff was friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel is great! There's a WholeFoods right around the corner, and Pentagon City Mall and the metro station are about 4 blocks away. Overall a great hotel. I'll stay there again.

There was a 15 minute wait to check in but the complementary warm cookies and bottled water were lovely. Staff was consistently kind and helpful. We really appreciated being able to drop our bags with the bellhop both before and after we checked in for our stay. We enjoyed our stay but also want to let others know that the walk to the nearest metro station involved crossing on ramps to a major highway. We are walkers and managed it without problems but this may not be the place to stay if you are relying on mass transit (Lyft rides helped when we needed to get into DC quickly).

Stayed here once before years ago and recall it being standard DT quality. Stopped here on the way home from a college visit for my son in SC and found it needing some upkeep. We rolled in really late (12:30pm) and the check-in was good. Didn't wait too long and checked in quickly. The hallway on our floor was kind of warm and damp (temps in the area were not that high) as was the room. Even after running the AC at 68 degrees, the room continued to feel damp (our parking ticket was soft and pliable from the dampness). The AC unit itself had rust on the top. The bathroom needs some work. Mildew stains on the tub caulk. Damage to the sink basin stand. Tub clogs after first shower and the fan doesn't seem to help remove moisture. And while it may be "normal" for hotels in the area, the cost of the breakfast in their cafe is ridiculous. $29 for the buffet and most non-buffet breakfast items are so expensive (many are $20 with no coffee or sides included), you may as well just get the buffet. And they didn't post the menu/cost outside. So you don't see it until you sit down and they've already given you coffee/drink. I almost paid for the ($4 each) coffee and left.

Affordable hotel that’s pretty nice. We had water come through our ceiling from the room above us; their bathtub overflowed. They upgraded our room and gave us free breakfast for the inconvenience. The Skydome was interesting to see and hotel food is pretty good.
