Hotel was clean and comfortable. Front desk staff was very helpful. Kids used the pool at night and enjoyed it. We didn’t get to experience the restaurant but it always looked full so it must be good.

We liked that it was easy to find, right off the highway and plenty of parking, plus it has a Starbucks in the lobby so that’s nice if you like Starbucks. There is also a restaurant called Sophia’s, however we did not eat there but it is another option for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Very quiet and the staff was friendly. We would stay here again if we visit in the future.

Great area. We stayed and drove into Salem and it was nice but did not think the quality of our stay was worth the price. I wish they had better mattresses/ pillows but that is personal taste. We noticed our room was quick cleaned, food under bed and in fridge when we arrived. Felt like there was constantly fees for extra things- breakfast, wifi, etc. We did enjoy the pool and staff was very nice. I would stay again but again just expected more for the price of the stay.

Our bathroom had spiderwebs in it, which means it wasn’t cleaned anytime recently. The toilet wouldn’t flush properly. While on our way to breakfast in the morning, as we walked past the staff, they were yelling at each other loudly. Upon our arrival, the staff stopped usage of the elevator during check in time, to clean it.

Took over an hour to get a pack and play sent to our room. Waiting on it to get our baby to bed. AC in our room didn’t work and since we had a sleeping baby we couldn’t have a maintenance person come in to work on it.

I guess maybe I'm used to Midwestern rooms that are more like suites (with couches, extra chairs, etc) so this seemed a bit basic. It was pretty much just the 2 beds & a dresser (with TV & minifridge, of course). BUT, it was clean, quiet, & comfortable, which are really the main points of a hotel, so I would happily stay again.

The pillows were like long skinny tubes that flattened to almost zero thickness (essentially no pillow) even when folded over themselves. May as well not supply pillows at all. I told the desk clerk at check out but he probably wouldn’t report it.

While there were existing problems upon arrival, staff was quick to resolve any they could. Room layout however, was poorly designed as to layout. TV was to the side of the bed instead of being in front. This position creates a narrow walkway which you could not get luggage past, everything needed to be carried above chest height to get past the TV stand. The lack of outlets in the room especially near the bed are only two with no USB ports and are of extremely poor quality.

Overall it was okay, but not what I expected from a flagship Marriott Hotel nor what I paid per night for the room. Bed was okay, but not great, all the windows had a film on them making them cloudy. Hallways and rooms could use a refresh. Again, Overall it was not bad, just did not meet the expectations I had at $300-$400/night from a Marriott Flagship.

The tv kept buffering even after sending someone up. It would be good for 5 or 10 minutes then the picture would be grainy or buffer. Other than that the room was clean staff helpful would recommend.

Advertised as being 9 minutes from some museums, but the distance seemed to be more around 16 minutes. The room itself was nice and tidy, the beds were comfortable. Also, breakfast ended at 10:30 which is somewhat early for a hotel. It was a nice stay.

This hotel was very nice! Super clean and the staff was very polite and patient with all of the guests. There was a wedding happening the weekend I stayed so the place was quite busy, but never heard a sound from any of the other guests from my room. The location was nice and clean and felt safe. Minutes away from lots of food and from tourist attractions in and around Salem.

The lobby was esthetically nice and front desk staff were very nice. The bar staff was incredibly rude and prices were very high. No complimentary coffee. Carpet in the hallways was faded and outdated. The phone in the room didn’t work and requested foam pillows and after more than an hour I was brought 2 more feather pillows. Pillows were hard and bed was also. I’ve stayed at Marriotts many times and this was very disappointing.

Comfortable rooms, convenient location. Undergoing some construction so hard to judge how it will be once complete. Front desk staff very pleasant. The restaurant offers surprisingly good food and decent value. The restaurant STAFF are exceptional. We have been staying here for 15 years and Dee and Wanda in particular are the very best!!

My only complaint is the food. Chicken Caesar salad had so much grated parmesano cheese and the dressing was so thick that it was almost inedible. The NE clam chowder was tasteless. Got clams?
