We booked this hotel because of the “free” airport shuttle. The shuttle in fact is not free if you have an early flight. (Before 7am) it costs $10. I guess I was ok with that. Except for the when we got to the lobby and paid for our shuttle, the clerk said he could find the keys to the van. After 15 minutes of really just standing around he told us to get an Uber. Which cost 14$ plus tip. I asked for a refund of the room as they didn’t live up to their end of the bargain. He told me to call after 9 am for a manager. When I called. The manager dismissed my complaint and said because I wanted the shuttle before 7 am that I was out of luck. Even though the policy was that I had to pay and it was still available. (Which I did). I was kind in the phone. Never raised my voice, but continued to make my case. In the end, the manager hung up on me. I am extremely dissatisfied and disappointed. Do not stay here. There are better options.

Friendly staff, only $8 to park while I'm out of town, and only $10 total for my party to take the airport shuttle outside of normal operating hours of 7am to 10pm. Hot breakfast with large selection of food choices.

Picked this hotel for the free airport shuttle and price , as we were getting in late in the evening, and would not be there long. When we called to enquire about the airport schedule, we were told that it would be $10 to come out for us. Not a significant fee but nowhere does it say $10 for the shuttle. Just free airport shuttle.. The girl informed me that it’s free until 10 o’clock at night and then after that $10 cash. The front desk girl that picked us up was very nice. The hotel is old and tired. The beds were comfortable enough. With the additional shuttle charge I would’ve stayed at a nicer place for hit a little bit more money.

There was no AC in the stairways or hallways. Ice machine did not work nor did the elevator. The bathroom door was broken and did not latch. The pillows on the bed were the size of couch or patio pillows. The website showed there was a pool but there in fact was not a pool or exercise room. The filters in the AC we filthy as well. Very disappointed.

Good location, clean and comfortable beds, excellent continental breakfast choices. One drawback was they advertise airport shuttle service and we arrived at 1:30 am no shuttle. Front desk said they stop at 11 pm and we’d have to pay for someone to pick us up. We may have chose a different hotel had we known.

Hotel is not up to date and appeared unclean. Elevator was not working and for people with multiple bags to carry up flights of stairs was dreadful. Room was ok, but bathroom needs to be updated. Person at the front desk when checking in was really nice. I felt sorry for her when she had to inform me of the elevator and shuttle service. Shuttle service was strictly for guests staying for some training program. The front desk person when checking out was not friendly. He did request an Uber at 6:45 am, however at 7:15 am I was informed the Uber would be another 40 minutes. I needed to be at the airport at 7:30 am, so the shuttle driver and passengers agreed to drop me off at the airport before going to their training session. I also heard other guests complaining about the facility and staff.

Very outdated. Carpeting in hall and elevator was filthy and smelled horrible. My room was clean but needed to be updated and, overall, the entire placed seemed uncared for. The odor alone, in the hall and elevator, would prevent me from coming here again.

Looked clean but really wasn’t. Found hair (that wasn’t any of ours) in my bed as we got under the cover and my daughter found an empty soft drink cup under the bed. I know it was last minute and inexpensive but I was not impressed.

The room was average for a budget hotel, in terms of bedding and condition. The carpet in the room was the dirtiest carpet I have ever come across. My socks were stained black from the filth. However, the breakfast is decent for the hotel type with many options available, although poor coffee and tea options. I would stay here again if there was not availability elsewhere, but I would pay $30 more per night to avoid having to walk on that disgusting carpet again.

This is not a well maintained property. Parking area asphalt cracked and falling apart. Front entrance needs power washing. Front entrance has debris, over flowing trash, loose landscape rocks asll over. Landsacpe mainenance was sloppy. Place doesnt smell very good or fresh inside. Carpeted areas look dirty. The furinture in the rooms are just nicked and beat up. Chairs have worn out seating. Pictures missing from some walls. My guess is that the owners have no idea where to begin and the cost of upgrading is beyond them.

Waiting for airport shuttle at airport for an hour.. it never came. Then the hotel decided to send an Uber for us and it took them three attempts to get one there which means we wound up getting to the hotel an hour and a half after our flight landed. Staff was rude room was dirty

Plug in bathroom was exposed, stains on ceiling and wall that make me nervous that there may have been a suicide in my room...Tried to call down to the front desk twice and both times no one answered. Every time I passed a worker they were on their cell phone talking or texting....

I went to my room, grabbed snacks from the vending machine. I stayed in my room and fell asleep well despite the hard bed. I was awakened at 2 am by the jerk in the next room who was talking very loudly This continued until almost 4am despite me asking him to quiet down and my pounding on the wall. I should have called the desk but i was so tired i didn't want to have to get up

Property needs updating - bathroom door was messed up; shower graduated with class of '78; could hear those in the next room over. On the other hand, there was no distracting noise or hallway talking after 11pm, which was appreciated.

The hotel is a bit rundown, but the staff is helpful and friendly. The bed was amazingly comfortable and the room was so nice and quiet. Good variety of tv channels. Overall, it was nice, but rundown.

To be clear the front desk staff was very helpful. However the property did not match the 8.0 very good rating. The property is slightly dated. Unfortunately after listening to an occupant of the room next to ours, yell loudly, scream obscenities continuously for well over an hour(about prison and bonding out of jail)and the then the other room next to ours come in late and start being loud. I felt compelled to request a different room. This is the first time I have ever thought to do this. The front staff was very understanding and moved us. Unfortunately the second room while sufficient ended up with the adjacent room listening to tv very loudly throughout the night and morning. I ended up wearing earplugs. This was not my expectation or experience with Comfort Inns over the years. Having traveled years ago for work and having been a choice club member and staying at choice hotels this was an absolute disappointment. I was actually to the point of leaving in the middle of the night with my wife and finding another location. The rating and dollar value simply did not match up.

Had a positive stay at the Comfort Inn Grand Rapids Airport. The staff was helpful and offered me a new room when the heater in the original one wasn’t working. The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. I also really liked the vending machines—they had a great variety of options. Overall 4/5 stars.

The staff were sufficiently friendly. I never received room service... Maybe that's not standard anymore? The young woman working the dining area at breakfast kept the place immaculate. Excellent work. The room was rather poorly lit, which was not great. The bed was comfortable, and overall it felt pretty clean. The doors block out ZERO hallway sound, and there were some noisy guests in the hallway a couple times around the time I went to bed.

Upon checking in, there was confusion about our reservation as it looked like we had already been checked in. We were given the room key to our room only to find out that there was another couple that were given, and were in, this room. The lady at the desk realized and met us in the hallway with new room keys for another room. When we got to this room, again, there were people in the room. We were finally given an empty room. This put multiple people’s safety at risk as we didn’t know who else may have our room key, which left us (3 young woman) feeling uneasy For the most part it was clean and comfortable, but there was large stains on the mattress. The lady at the desk was helpful once she realized what happened, but this shouldn’t have happened in the first place.

I booked this because there was an airport shuttle, but was told that it had stopped running for the night and was told that since I booked through Expedia it was not their problem. Not helpful or accommodating at all. When I got here, the front desk person was NOT friendly and did not seem pleased with his job. VERY disappointing!!

My stay was terrible. I was checked in under the wrong name, given keys to a room that someone had already been and had keys to. Which the room wasn't the cleanest to begin with. I was asked to move rooms and then kept in that room with different keys. I had a 2 night reservation and because I was checked in under an incorrect name, front desk was knocking on my room door telling me to check out because it was never corrected. Then house keeping was trying to open the door. Our key was deactivated. My card had been charged for a different reservation on top of my own. When I called for a manager, I was promised a phone call all day and then they refused to allow me to speak to one about these charges. The woman who was doing my refund was very rude and condescending. Telling me incorrect things about my stay and giving incorrect card information. I said I had issues since I checked in and immediately cut me off to say she'd refund me and ended the call. Definitely would recommend going elsewhere.

Had a positive stay at the Comfort Inn Grand Rapids Airport. The staff was helpful and offered me a new room when the heater in the original one wasn’t working. The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. I also really liked the vending machines—they had a great variety of options. Overall 4/5 stars.

Lillian was by far the most amazing host. She always had a smile on her face. She was very professional and spoke every time i walked past the front desk. This trip was my 1st time ever in Grand Rapids and she was very helpful with the suggestions that she made when i asked a question about the city. I will definitely be looking to stay again as long as she is there. She deserves to be paid more for the service she provides and a higher position of manager. A person like her is what makes a stay worth staying.

We really appreciated the entire experience at this hotel. The free shuttle, the coffee and hot water bar that was available 24hours. The front desk staff was so friendly and helpful!!

The kind lady at the front desk, Lilly I believe her name is, is what makes this property my favorite. She not only gets you checked in in a quick and accurate fashion but she goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is as comfortable as possible. 10/10 would recommend.

We stopped at this hotel for a night on our way during a long road-trip. Room was pretty nice for the price. Shower had good pressure and the free breakfast options really surprised me! They had cheese omelettes, waffles, and even sausage gravy ! It was delicious. I grabbed some ice and lemon water on my way out and enjoyed our stay. Staff was friendly and easy going. Would recommend and stay again.

The front desk lady was very nice and welcoming. My room was just a little dirty. Found a Red Bull can in my room on arrival and just some hairs. This hotel was not horrible. For 81$ it’s not a bad stay. The breakfast had a lot of options.

Cute hotel, rooms are a bit dated with screws where old photos are and a spot on our carpet was wet, other than that it was great for a night to relax. Beds were comfortable and clean. Breakfast offered plenty of choices, overall was nice and quiet. Close to anything you need.

The place wasn't very clean. Screens hanging off the windows. The fire alarm went off a t 4am and woke us out of a dead sleep while it went off for an hour until the fire department showed up to turn it off. Room was filthy.
