We were here because our daughter played rugby ant Calvin and our granddaughter wanted a pool experience. The pool was nice and everything was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was as expected, my husband liked the biscuits and gravy.

Hotel was clean and nicely renovated, room was spacious and great for family trip (small fridge and microwave in room). Bathroom was clean. Beds very comfortable. Pool was a good size for the kids to play. Breakfast was much nicer than most hotels with continental style option.

We would stay here again. It was clean, kids swam in the pool and my husband used the gym. Breakfast was good. Nice open spaces in lobby. Room was set up well with mini frig and microwave. My only complaint is check-in and check out took a little while. At check in they started with one staff member and there were 3 of us in line. A second staff member was called out. At check out, only one staff member and again, I had to wait.

There was a dirty towel in the closet, the towel holder in the bathroom was hanging down like it needed screwed back in. On the headboard of a bed was hair, the bath tub would not hold water for a bath. No smart tv.

Bed was a little too soft for our preference, but overall a comfortable room. Convenient and close to freeway, but still quiet. Pleasant, helpful staff. Stayed here twice in the last year and happy with both stays. Would definitely stay again.

Hotel was clean and modern. Desk staff were very friendly. I don\'t believe in the "We won\'t clean your room unless you ask" trend hotels are following. Our room did get cleaned when we asked but it should happen on a daily basis whether we ask or not.

Hotel is tucked away in a dark area with just other hotels around, doesn’t feel very safe. Checked in & didn’t want a room by the elevator so we didn’t have to deal with the noise, second room was the last down a hall next to the exit on the first floor (already didn’t feel safe so not staying in that room) third room seemed fine until I pulled the sheets down and you could clearly tell someone had slept there and it smelled dirty, fourth and final room bcuz it was midnight at this point and the bed was definitely clean except for one of the pillows & the phone had something sticky all over the part that you talk in to. Got some snacks from the front desk area and one of them had expired July of 2024, it’s Oct 2024…… Definitely not staying at this location again, which is sad bcuz we chose it bcuz we have stayed in many Holiday Inns and haven't had any issues, we thought it was a good safe choice but apparently not.

Room was clean, staff was very friendly, breakfast was as expected but of good quality with plenty of food. My kids thoroughly enjoyed the pool and overall was a very nice experience and stay. Only negative, and this has nothing to do with the hotel itself or staff, is that they have a very nice outdoor seating area with a fire pit. Obviously lots of people enjoyed staying outside in the evening and talking and laughing and such. Our room was on the fourth floor directly above this area and unfortunately we could hear them being loud and laughing well into the night. Again, not the hotel‘s fault, just was simply the only downside that we had.

Safe would not open dead battery, bathroom door would only close around halfway it was scraping on the floor, bathroom faucet was loose and wabbling, could not adjust the room temp to hot to cold crappy unit, lamp shade was broken no guide on the TV had to scan 50 channels to find out what's on, toilet bowl would not fill by its self had to hold down the handle, other than that OK.

The shuttle bus driver takes his turns sharp and puts the pedal to the metal, I was sliding off the seat. The hotel is very nice! Make sure if you pay by expedia that the hotel does not charge you again, I had this happen but they fix it and were very kind.

Our reservation for 2 queen beds was not honored. We had 4 people in the room and 2 were forced to sleep on the floor. In addition we were upcharged for having a king bed!! NOT ACCEPTABLE.

Very clean, great breakfast options. Each staff member I encountered during my two-night stay was extremely impersonal. When checking in, the only time I was spoken to was to ask for my I.D. and credit card. When I asked my room number (because it wasn't communicated, I was told, "You can look at your key."

My wife and I traveled to Grand Rapids for a concert May 5th. We called and said we would be a late check-in. We arrived at the hotel to find that not one hotel staff was at the hotel. Not one. An office door was wide open, the door to the patio was propped open. Anybody could just walk in and do whatever they wanted. There was a young lady there that had been there for an hour before we got there trying to get somebody on the phone. At approximately 12:30 a.m. she got in touch with someone that told her somebody from the hotel was on their way. A gentleman showed up at approximately 1:00 a.m.. When he arrived there was no apology, no "hey, I'm sorry for what happened", nothing. I then asked him what he was planning on doing about these rooms (discount), something, anything. At that point he said "I ain't doin' a damn thing!" I asked him his name and what his position was for the hotel and he responded "I'm not tellin you nothin'!" Then he said "I'm just gonna cancel your reservation!" To say the least, we will never be using Holiday Inn anything in the future. A very dissatisfied customer Jeff Hermann.

Helpful and friendly front desk staff, Oliver, directed me to the easily walkable Meijer to pick up a few items. Hotel and room was pristine. Bed was comfortable. Airport shuttle on time and driver was friendly. 5 stars all the way.

Took several phone calls & a long wait with line ringing before someone answered to arrange for airport pick up. Interacted in person during my stay with two different front desk people who could have been nicer. A few things also missed by cleaning person in my room. Overall pretty good but not excellent.

The rooms I booked and paid for weeks ago was given away and at 1AM we were left without a room and needed to leave and drive an hour to stay in a much more accommodating hotel. The staff did nothing to remedy this. She literally looked at us and said “sorry, there’s no rooms.”

Really impressed with the quality of the hotel and amenities. The hotel and room was quiet and clean, breakfast and coffee was great and the location is convenient next to a major supermarket and lots of restaurants. Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for an affordable hotel in Grand Rapids

Only downside was, unable to shower in the morning before check out as the tub spout popped off when trying to switch to shower. Did not have time to wait for it to be fixed. Otherwise good hotel for a night or two. Breakfast had lots of selection but no juice available as the machine was broken.
