Easy access, pet friendly for a small $25 fee. Nice, spacious room. The view was of a wooded area behind the hotel and I wasn't disappointed. It was quite beautiful. We arrived late, around 8:15pm. The gentleman at the desk was kind and quick with our check-in. The room was clean and decent. I suggest bringing your own pillows however, as theirs are small but fluffy. Bedding was adequate. Sheets, blanket, sheet - comfortable. Beds a bit hard but not uncomfortable. I have back issues and it was fine for me. It fit two of us just fine in the queen size. Shower worked great. I LOVE the two separate sinks!! Finally, someone gets it! Two people can actually brush their teeth at the same time! We'll grab breakfast here soon. Nothing special but it's provided and they have some quick grab options I'm told, like bagels and toast. Coffee in room is good. We have dogs and they put us at the end of the hall which is conveniently located just to the left at the top of the stairs. It's not a long walk from the car. Our dogs are excitable so I was grateful for the end room. We didn't even have to ask. The pet fee was a base price too, not per pet pricing. Highly recommend this place!!

There was only waffles, cereal or oatmeal for breakfast. Coffee was lukewarm and terrible. A day later and I still have a stomach ache from the coffee. The ice machine was broke. Upon checking out the desk attendant was adjusting her nose ring and it was disgusting.

There were earwig bugs in the room and the staff said that they knew they had a problem. They were waiting for an exterminator. The rooms were not clean and they had a smell. I think this hotel needs a huge update and the door to the hotel on the side is never locked so anybody off the highway can walk in it was very very unsafe ,

Room was great for the price, outside door didnt want to lock so that was a bit concerning. And locking our room door was a little tough, but may be from the temperature change. Over would stay there again, and the view was great.

Overall great experience. Someone with walking issues may have difficulty getting into the room. Its a good 10 inch step up into the room. Breakfast is very basic. Overall, its a clean place to lay your head. No frills.

The outside door to the 2-floor wing needs to be fixed. Even being careful to not let it heavily slam shut, you couldn’t help it. I would suggest making this a priority. Everything else was fine.

I can say that the workers were very friendly and helpful so I wont give 1 star, but the room was nasty. I had severe back problems from the bed and the room smelled like mold. The breakfast was worthless, just cereal and toast. There was dust everywhere and I found an old beer can behind the TV.

Room is outdated, bugs in the shower. The “hot” breakfast was cold and not much to choose from. The floor in the room was dirty, for the price we were charged and the pictures this property is not as advertised. Make this a last choice for sure

I got eaten alive by bed bugs. When I notified staff the next day they promised to follow up and call me back and never did. All I wanted was I let them know so that no one else slept in that bed the next day and they would take care of the issue.

Was nice enough hotel but our room was slightly dirty. I ended up with a dry cotact lens stuck to my foot, there were a few dead bugs in one of the beds. The shower knob came off in your hand as well

Sub par. Did not clean room when we were ther. Did not replace towels. Tub was peeling, caulk around tub looked like a four year old used toothpaste instead of caulk. Furniture from the seventies and stained. Just a complete disaster. Towels were like sandpaper. Air conditioner very loud. Won’t be back.

Room smelled bad. Garbage on the floor. Bed was broke. AC wasnt good. The outside door was unable to secure. Outside garbage cans were full and attracting animal. Front desk did switch rooms for us. Second room also smelled and AC wasnt good. We went for the breakfast 40 mins before it ended and there was nothing there, not a peice of fruit or a muffin or anything. We were extremely unsatisfied with the whole experience. Worst stay ever

This hotel is not where you want to lay your head for the night. The hotel property is run down and really outdated. Our room was smelly and musty. The toilet was not cleaned and the seat was broken. The sheets were on the bed upside down and the bed looked like it had been sat in. There was no telephone and barely any towels. The door looked like it had been broken into from the outside and it had 4 seperate locks on it. I had originally booked it for 2 nights and fortunately we got out of there after one night. I would have left even if they didn't refund me it was that bad. They need to shut down and revamp the place a section at a time starting with an upgrade to the property, the contents and the cleaning staff. There are way too many other choices in this area to stay. My lesson... when it matters, don't scimp.

I love how quiet the hotel was, I liked how it was close to the lake and a bike path. The staff was super friendly and exceptionally helpful at all turns. Everything was clean and well-maintained with two exceptions. First, the Internet wasn't very good, but that's not the hotel's fault, but Sprectrum's. Secondly, the phone in the room didn't work, which struck me as a little weird. I didn't really need it; I had my cell phone, but still, it struck me as something that really should have been working. A very nice place, highly recommended.

The room was nice, balcony with view of Lake Superior. Bathroom had sink, commode, tub, then a separate sink in entry area with coffee maker. 2 chair in room by table and 2 chairs on balcony. All in all very comfortable. Hiking trail across road. There was some road noise, but got quiet as traffic died down.

Great staff here. Motel is older, but clean. Our room was clean, but outdated. Could use a paint job and new carpet and drapes. Breakfast was good, not a big variety, but enough. Price was perfect for what we got.

This hotel is fine to stay at for a night but not a long stay. I came to the area to hike in the area for a cheaper price and that's what the hotel offered. I expected to get something out of their breakfast but there were very limited options. There was only one hot food option and very minimal food options at all. There was more coffee and juices then there was actual food. When something ran out from earlier, it would not be refilled. Thankfully there were some restaurants nearby. The rooms were nice with the lakeview and comfortable beds, but the walls were thin...VERY THIN. Every move or cough you make basically shakes the whole floor. Everything was functional (tv, shower, sink,ac) but didn't look perfect (chipped tiles and bathtub paint). It's cheap so I guess that's what I paid for. Something that's not entirely the hotels fault and not very safe is the highway to enter/exit. You cannot see oncoming traffic when you are exiting the parking lot and barely have room to slow down when entering. The best way to leave is to go away from town with the flow of traffic and spin around when you have a chance. Although there were many problems, I would definitely consider coming here to be in Marquette. Be prepared to pay a little extra to get food outside of the hotel though. In the summer, I would pay extra for gas and stay in Escanaba. Charging $100 - $150 summer is outrageous.

Great stay & great customer service! First, Ian, at the frint desk was amazing! So friendly & welcoming, super helpful and then Diane (or Diana) also went above & beyond to provide ex excellent customoer service. Hadnt planned an overnight stay 2 weeks later on return trip but ended up needing to. Immediately booked here. This will be my go to place traveling between Michigan & Minnesota from now on, as long as there's availability. Fairly basic rooms, but very clean & comfortable & customer service means a whole lot to me!

We wanted to stay out of the city of Marquette yet be across the street from the Lake Superior so this hotel was the best choice. There is a wonderful walking trail along the lake that can be accessed from the hotel. There is a highway in between so it can be a bit tricky to get to from the hotel. But we figured it out. We found a great Pizza place in Harvey just a few miles away from the hotel.

The Econo Lodge Lakeview was a very convenient spot to spend the night while traveling through Marquette. The facilities are a bit old, and the room smelled faintly of smoke--probably years ago. The included breakfast is bare bones, but there was coffee. Overall, it's fine for a one night stop, but it is not a destination motel.

This is the 4th time we've stayed in this hotel. It is our favorite Marquette base-of-operations. The location is wonderful for walks, including a long walk into town along the lake, and close enough to everything to be convenient. The rooms are QUIET, which is amazing considering how close they are to the highway. The desk staff are always the nicest people we meet in MI.

Hotel room was in a somewhat deteriorated condition. Both the tub faucet & bathroom faucets were loose. The bathroom doorstop guard had deteriorated so the door handle was damaging the wall. Only one hand towel & washcloth provided. The breakfast was very minimal. The gentleman at checkin did a great job.

The front desk employees were very nice and friendly. Our room was ok. It was clean and the beds were comfortable. The room condition was worn. The carpet was worn down to threads on the door threshold. The night stand was dated and dinged. There was a water stain on the ceiling. But the breakfast was the biggest let down. They only had cheese omlets, 3 selections of cold cereal (1 of our 2 day stay there was only 2 as the frosted flakes were "out of stock"), cold mini apple cinnamon muffins, bread/toast and 2 flavors of instant oatmeal. I was atleast hoping for some bagels or something. Not everyone likes eggs. We won't stay again as the breakfast is a big seller for us. We stayed here while we moved our daughter into NMU.

The hotel is nice and clean. We rented a queen size bed because they were out of King size ones, but that bed seemed more like a full. The “continental breakfast” was not even close to that. It had some oatmeal for you to make, and some premade small size omelettes with a slice of cheese. Not a good variety. The view is beautiful, as you can see Lake Superior.

Room Was clean And convenient for our doggy. Air conditioner fan blew all night and every in the room. Service was good. People friendly and helpful. Breakfast was not too desirable. Rate was good however so thanks for that. Overall a pleasant stay.

Old. Rundown. Terrible breakfast offering. The staff I met at check-in and check-out were friendly and courteous and about the only redeeming quality of this hotel. $200/night for that? Very, very disappointing.
