Family friendly, nice pool, great hot tub. Even a small sauna. The room was ok, obviously dated, but worth it for the price. The AC didn't work great to keep the room cool, which was only an issue for the first day or two. Overall, I would definitely stay here again.

Nice hotel at a reasonable price but the pool and hot tub really need attention. The hot tub is so full of chemicals it turns to all foam the second the jets turn on and also was barely lukewarm. Pool had way too much chlorine as well.

On a camping and mountain biking trip with my partner and dog. We decided to stay one night in a hotel because it’s been rainy, they are dog friendly and it had a hot tub and sauna. Our check in went fine but the person ahead of us had requested a handicap accessible room but was having trouble accessing it and it didn’t seem that there was much of a solution. The sauna was broken and the attendant said she didn’t know how to make it work. It was rusty and appeared to be installed in the 1970s. The hot tub was full of children doing cannonballs into it until it closed at 10:30 pm. I’m an early riser so I was hoping to get some quiet hot tub time in the morning but it doesn’t open until 9:30. Expected the kids in the pool but was hopeful for the hot tub and sauna. Bed and bedding is what you’d expect for a cheap motel. The water pressure was pretty good so at least I got a nice hot shower.

The hotel was overall good. It looks like it has two different hotels out together and we stayed on the more motel looking side compared to the lodge looking rooms. They were clean and comfortable. Small bathroom but the room size was decent. Would have been nice to have a table in the room. The pool and hot tub area was clean and the kids enjoyed the pool even though the water was either salt or heavily chlorinated. The breakfast was decent. The hotel is close to everything we needed. Would stay here again.

Cedar Motor Inn is a bit dated, but overall a good value. They have a nicely remodeled, large area for check-in and breakfast. The breakfast is limited, but ok. We enjoy the hot tub, but towels in the pool area were regularly not available. This is the only thing that could be improved. A very reasonable stay, when many hotels in the area are over $200/night.

The hot tub is actually hot, and staff had no control over how loud the people in the next room are. They really simplified their breakfast with no more waffles. The staff did move me so I was closer to the hot tub which I really appreciated!

It was very inconvenient to have to walk outdoors to the pool. The pool and hot tub were dirty and full of hair. The tables at the pool were not comfortable and very wobbly. Our tv in our room did not work and we were not able to turn the channel. One lamp did not work.

The parking could be better lit on the cedar looking side. The hotel room itself was ok for cleanliness, the bathroom not cleaned well at all. I would highly suggest someone strip all the old caulking out and replace it professionally! Needs ip dates badly.

The floor was dirty my socks were black from walking around. There were cobwebs in all the corners. I didn’t feel very safe because the curtain didn’t cover the window completely. The bedspread had dirt on it. However the staff were friendly, quick and Kind. I asked for a ground floor room because my elderly mother couldn’t climb stairs and was well provided for. My only complaint was the condition of the room.

I’m originally from Marquette, and my boyfriend and I decided to take a night trip to visit family. The lobby was great, but as we entered the halfway point, a strong odor of old must hit us. When we finally reached our room, the smell persisted, accompanied by cigarette smoke, which was a violation of the non-smoking policy. We opened the windows to try and ventilate the room, but it was still in a state of disarray. The sheets had stains, the carpet was disgusting (ripped), and there was dust everywhere. During our stay, I sustained a deep cut while we were eating in bed. As a nurse, I asked my boyfriend to help me stop the bleeding. We went to the front desk to express our complaints, but unfortunately, no one was there to assist us. We left the hotel late at night due to the appalling cleanliness and the overpowering smell. More importantly, the wound was quite deep, and I ended up receiving six stitches in my hand that night well sitting in the ER for three hours. When I called to inquire about the $250 charge, they claimed that it was a waste hazard because of the blood. It was clear that they lacked empathy and accountability for their actions. I will never stay at this money stealing hotel again.

We love this motel. We’ve always had great customer service, very friendly. I’ve had conversations with multiple staff and they’re always nice and engaging. Our rooms we’ve stayed in are always clean. The rooms are pretty basic, however, always really clean. We enjoy the modern look. This is our go to place to stay every time we visit Marquette. The price is right, cheaper than hotels around but just as nice, maybe even better than other hotels in the area.

We stayed in rm 110. There were stains on the ceiling above the bed. Carpet is stained and filthy. Found an empty water bottle on the side of the bed. You could tell house keeping was very lax on their job. The caulking in the bathroom was filled with black mold along with black mold in the tiles of the shower. Pubic hairs on the register. Thankfully we bought our own disinfectant wipes. The pool area was clean. The property could use a good remodel but for the price it was half of what the other area hotels were charging so there’s that.

There were issues with the room key both at check in and the next night when we returned to our room. Maybe a battery issue they said. Rooms should be checked to make sure the keys will work. Also the lighting in the room was poor and there are not enough towel racks in the bathroom. However the room was clean, staff is nice, and the location is good. We would stay there again.

Friendly and kind staff made up for property shortfalls. Furniture rough, really old AC unit itself smelled bad, kicked out bad smelling air, made the room smell. Tried to open windows but the screens were bent. Bed and bath very clean, can tell people take pride in cleaning, much appreciated!

There were only 2 small lamps in the entire room so it was dim. Also no towel racks in the bathroom. The place has been recently remodeled, but I would have filled the room just a bit more with queen beds, a nicer chair, and a bigger TV. The room was quite large with mostly open floor space.

I’ve stayed at Cedar Motor Inn at least a half dozen times. Most of the time it’s been great. This last time - not so much. Our check-in experience was poor. The rep at the desk was very distracted and made check-in difficult. This was our first time staying with our kids with us. Every other time it had been just us (a couple). We had a two bed room. One of the beds was absolutely terrible. Worse than just a crummy mattress. The mattress was concave and the bed seemed to fold in. I told the front desk and their response was “I’ve been told all of our beds are not great” and they couldn’t do anything about it (they weren’t busy, they could have moved rooms). The room was hot even with the heat controls off. We had to have the air conditioning on even though the daily highs were around 50. First time with kids and the website says they have a new game room. Teenager was a little excited about that. I asked about it and they said they do have a game room but it’s only for rent. Would be good info to put in the website.

I believe we received the "Expedia Room" getting the one room that faced both the highway and the pool so noise was a huge factor during our entire 4 night stay. There is also no elevator to this second floor room and the security door was propped open with a rock. The price was ok but will be trying another hotel next time.

I had booked and paid online. When I got there in person they tried to say that Expedia had booked me in by mistake and that they had a “better” room for a higher price. I said no, I already paid. Showed them my confirmation receipt and said this is my room. We had an incident where we came back to our room around 3:30pm to find housekeeping had left our door open while we were gone(they weren’t supposed to be in our room regardless) We were very uncomfortable and decided to leave our stay. Hotel only refunded 1 night as we didn’t leave till 4 despite us getting out as soon as we realized what happened. Other than that, motel was acceptable but very loud and walls were thin. Also noted that the pull out couch was almost unbearable to sleep on that we actually slept on the floor instead.

This motel along U.S. 41 at the east side of Marquette, MI has a unique sprawling layout and semi-rustic look, with modern amenities and large open breakfast area. The buildings are a bit dated but are well maintained; the room was clean and had been updated with hard floors and a remodeled bathroom. All in all, a good deal for the area.

The Inn is old and the room smelled of stale smoke. The breakfast was sparse. Breakfast was 7-9am and we went at 8am. There was French toast, eggs were gone and there was one muffin left. There was dry cereal available and toast. Not good for over $200 a night

Staff was friendly and service was quick. Rooms were clean but in our opinion the beds were hard. Lol, some like their mattresses hard to the point you can't feel your bed partner move. Me? I'd like to not feel like im sleeping on a board. Breakfast was a little disappointing. Scrambled eggs, french toast sticks, a loaf of white bread with butter, peanut butter and grape jelly for options. Cold cereal and a few mini muffins. Juice & coffee. No meat, fruit, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, bagels, English muffins or biscuits and gravy as many places offer. Just very lacking.

Good value. Updated bathroom was nice. Sheets etc were clean. Pool and hot tub were good. Breakfast was sadly lacking. Apparently supplies had run out on the weekend so 2 mornings with no eggs at all. Minimal fruit. Basically cold cereal and toast. Coffee was good and hot and available!!!

Breakfast was non-existent. They only had a couple slices of bread, muffins, 3 types of cereal (no milk), and microwaved french toast sticks. I recommend the hotel remove the breakfast option completely if this is all they offer. Room cleanliness and amenities were standard for this price range. Would stay again.

The room floor #184 needed cleaning. Arrived for breakfast at 920, 40 minutes before closing. The counters were filthy with spilled food. Trash receptacle was overflowing and nobody restocked juice. I settled on toast as my only option as hot water carafe was empty. An older gentleman arrived at 940 and I could tell he was also upset with the unavailability of food and drink. He also settled with toast. Staff needs to continually check on the breakfast area, not only at the beginning and end.

The hotel is older, would like hard floors instead of carpet and updated windows. Didn’t like how dark our room was, kept the front curtains closed so people walking by in the hallway couldn’t see in our room. Definitely appreciated the mini refrigerator. They offer a breakfast but it’s pretty basic of toast, mini muffins, scrambled eggs, cereals, coffee and juice. This hotel is wonderful for the price you pay, it’s close to stores and a 6 min drive to Lake Superior.
