Hi I only rented this room because it had a pool and hot tub and they were both broken and did not work Itomydaughter for her 10th bday so

Everyone was nice! Rooms clean. Wish pool and hot tub where open!

The staff was very nice, they were renovating so that could have been some of why things were dirty. The pool was cold and the hot tub was warm. There was some debris in the bottom of the pool also.

The elevator went out between the time we checked in and when we got back from dinner. We were on the 3rd floor; my husband is medically fragile so walking up 3 flights of stairs was taxing on him. The elevator was still not fixed the next day and we had to carry our bags and bowling equipment down.

This hotel was disgusting. You first walk in and all you can smell is paint because they’re renovating. Ok, fine. I understand that renovations need to happen but that was just the beginning. We get to our room and there’s no garbage bin, dirty sheet on pull out bed with BLOOD on it. There are dirty, sticky smudges on our desk, little hairs everywhere in the bathroom and on pillows and blankets. White stains on the actual furniture, dusty/dirty shower, dirty sink. Our room just felt very unclean. I had to keep getting new blankets, towels, an actual garbage bin. It was very annoying. The pool was dirty, you can literally see everything floating up at the top (hair, debri, etc) when you’re walking you step on debri as well (not really sure what we were stepping on) Hot tub was warm and hot, that’s about the only nice thing on this trip. The breakfast was gross. Flies were flying around the room, bagels were hard as a rock, very limited options for food and you’re not allowed to bring your food back to your room which I’ve never seen in a hotel. Overall I would give this hotel a 2/10. Not worth over 200$ I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels and this was the worst one I’ve ever stayed in. Very disappointing and of course I won’t get my money back. Do not book with this hotel, you’ll regret it.

Night shift desk was unfriendly yet efficient. Gym is broken. My pillow smelled horrible and tv did not work. I reported it and it was all taken care of in my room . For the price it is great . The hot tub was hot pool was good. Very quiet and dark. I may stay again.

The hotel wasn’t clean. The washer and dryer were not working. The pool was dirty and there weren’t towels available at the pool. Staff was indifferent at best. The breakfast left a lot too be desired. I can’t imagine what VIP services could have been available because the basic services were so lacking.

While the accommodations were pleasant, there were a number of minor problems: 1) There’s only one elevator in this four storey hotel and it is so very slow. 2) the tv was difficult to fathom. The guide showed channels that are not available and no channel that is available has the wrong listing (FoxNews listed as ESPN, etc.). And lastly, the pillows were mushy. In other establishments, a variety of pillows are provided, not here. The staff is very helpful, the premises and landscaping are nice but my quibbles detracted from a pleasant stay.

The front desk was wonderful. I had made two reservations with a day in between. I tried to cancel the second, but it was too late to do so by the time I checked in for the first date. Otherwise, I would’ve canceled. I have never stayed in a room that was so dirty. Other than the bed, which was clean and comfortable, the floor, the carpet everything was disgusting. It was very late when I got in, and I was only there for hours otherwise I would’ve left. I had to put a towel down in the bathtub to step on in order to take a shower. I kept my shoes on the entire time I wouldn’t even put my socks on the rug. I took pictures of it. It was absolutely disgusting. I looked as I went through the hallways, the hallway rugs were disgusting as well. It is a shame because it’s a beautiful building. The lobby was nice and years ago granted it was 20 years ago it was a lovely place to stay. To look at it from the outside, the building looks beautiful. The lobby looks beautiful. The staff at the front desk were absolutely lovely, but the room itself was awful. I kept all of my things up high. I didn’t even want my shoes on the floor. If I hadn’t been coming from such a long distance, I wouldn’t have stayed. Surprisingly though the bed appeared clean and it was quite comfortable. It was odd to have a clean, comfortable bed, beautiful exterior - lobby but offer such dirty flooring and walls. There were stains everywhere. I’ve never written a bad review before. I’ll never stay there again.

The carpet in the room was old and stained and the overall cleanliness of the room was not great.

The hotel was filthy and in need of an update i did not feel comfortable sleeping i wasn’t even sure the sheets and bedding were changed

Breakfast was slow to refill and so so. Our room was nasty. Toe nail on floor, dust/crumbs in drawers, and beds looked like they were made up by a 5 year old.

I already wrote a review. I will never stay there again. The staff was wonderful. The lobby was nice. The exterior was nice. I submitted pictures. The flooring in the room was disgusting. It was amazing. The bed was actually comfortable and appeared clean. Otherwise I wouldn’t have stayed. It was very late when I arrived After a very long trip. Again, I will never stay there again. I didn’t even take my shoes off, stepped on towels, put a towel down in the bathtub to stand on when I took a shower and kept my sneakers on the entire time couldn’t even feel comfortable walking in socks.

Walked into a used bathroom with hair in shower, opened toiletries and used towels. Moved us to a “clean” room with a bad odor and the beds were uncomfortable.

Thee curtains in my bedroom were disgusting. The furniture in the living room was ripped and torn in multiple areas. The towels had hair in them. The chair in the living room was filthy. The carpet was filthy. I do appreciate that they take cash for the security deposit but will not be going back.

The lobby was pleasant looking although the air conditioning wasn’t working properly down there. The food was OK. One sheer curtain was missing on the window in my room. The second night the air conditioning wouldn’t even turn on. There were paint droplets on the floor in the bathroom. The bathroom door would not close all the way, unless you really jiggle the handle and try to maneuver it. The room smelled musty. There was no mirror in the bedroom?? One of the chairs in the living room, had stains on it.

It is a nice hotel with a free hot breakfast hot tub, and pool at a good price. Some hot items on the free breakfast (gravy) were cold. The AC unit didn't work in the first room and the bedding smelled bad. We were moved to another room with a working AC unit but the bottom of the tub wasn't all that clean and did not drain until I removed the drain plug. The bathroom sink was updated but had a slow drain. The bedding was clean and firm but the down pillows were flat. There looked like mulch under the AC unit by the wall. There was no way to leave the fan running on the AC unit and it has a sensor that turns the AC off when it senses no movement in the room. The luggage carts all seemed to be falling apart and missing nuts and bolts to keep the carts together. The hotel needs to spend more money on the maintenance of hotel AC units and luggage carts.

The carpet needs updating. The room needs better pillows, bed too hard, and room had a smell. A lot of noise from other guests.

The room could definitely use an upgrade. Every single thing was stained, including all of the towels. Our toilet didn’t work, along with all the outlets in the bathroom and on one side of the bed. Would not stay here again.

Walls are very thin. Could hear ppl walking and talking all night. Hotel is in a great location and close to lots of restaurants. Hotel could use some updating to the halls and pool area. Staff was very friendly and the breakfast was nice.

Nice option for 2 nights, comfy bed, bathroom sink needs maintenance - almost clogged. Towels could be larger... the ones we had were kids size.

My room was on the east side of the building, closest to the road, so the noise was a bit much at times during the night.

Loved: location, price, roominess of suite, comfy bed, 4th floor was quiet, staff Didn’t love: tv in living area didn’t work (not very important for us though), hard to adjust room temp

Absolutely the worst check in. The front desk clerk was rudest person I have ever met in my life. Like my 7 year old grandson said that man was mean. They did not have a room ready till 1 hour and 35 minutes after check in time. Would not let wait in lobby or pool area. MY 5 YEAR OLD GRANDSON NEEDED A BREATHING TREATMENT AND WOULD NOT LET STAY IN LOBBY TO GIVE IT TO HIM.

Really good area and clean hotel. Just hard to find staff at the front desk to help. Also, breakfast buffet had things empty every morning of our stay which was kind of frustrating.

Amazing front desk service! Had packages delivered in advance off event and they called me personally to let me know they arrived and were holding them safe for me. Remarkable!

Reservation issues - paid for 3 rooms and hotel claims only 2 reservations made. Unable to find anyone to assist with the billing issue.

Front desk clerk one of rudest I've ever met. My 7 year old grandson called him the mean man. I didn't get into my room till over a hour after. Check in time. Was not allowed to give my 5 year old grandson a breathing treatment in lobby waiting for room. Pool area never had towels. I asked to talk to manager and still have not herd from him. I never stay their again.

We likw the convenience of shopping and quiet area

If you need a safe and affordable place to stay in the area, this place does the trick. Very good parking, near several restaurants, stores, and highways.

This is our go to spot when we need a place to stay when spending a weekend in Detroit. The hotel is located conveniently around Meijer, gas stations, and fast food. I love that’s it’s 20 minutes from the Masonic Temple which we frequent often.

Close to Everything

Room and property were clean and in good condition. Pleasant breakfast area and good selection of breakfast food.

Wonderful staff. Room was spacious and comfortable, but a bit musty. Some footstep noise from the room above but hotel was generally very quiet over three night stay. Breakfast was simple but good. Easy check in and out. Hotel is a good location between the convention center and DTW. Close to Northside village which has a really nice strolling and dining area.

Friendly staff. Clean and comfortable rooms. Very convenient to get around Detroit without staying in Detroit. Breakfast was very good! GREAT value for the price! Will use them again!

Staff is very nice and helpful. It does need some upgrades and deep cleaning on the carpet. Breakfast was nice, love the waffles and sausage patties. There is a lot of dining options and shopping in the area, very nice.

Only thing I would change is having breakfast available earlier. We went down at 6:30 to at least get coffee, to find no coffee available. A lot of people stay at your hotel on the weekends because their kids are in sports. Not having breakfast available until 7 is too late for many.

Great breakfast!

Shower had a loud noice when hot water turned on. Missing lamp light bulb, rude manager on checkout day regarding a food policy, during breakfast. Only taking a bowl of cereal to my wife, after eating, and he barked out the hotel policy in a disrespectful tone of voice, very loudly. I was shocked, because, in all my years of staying a various hotels, around the years, I’ve never had anyone say that to me, even, if there was such a policy in place. I’ve stayed at this hotel previously, and no one every told be of such a stupid policy. I understand why, there may be such a policy, but they way if was shouted at me was very bad customer service, and disrespectful. I also to him so, when checking out. He apologized about the tone, but it was too late, at this point. Everyone else on staff was very, very great.

They have to change their towels. Lady at the check out was lovely. She greeted us as soon as we walked in. Great breakfast. We were about to go out of the room but some cleaning staff knocked our door prior to 11:00 to check if we checking out , didn’t appreciate this .

It was average. They provide almost no shampoo neither moisturizer. Had to get rid of big insects, Expedia gold meant nothing to them, they said they only provide the vip perks to Marriott diamond members. Their breakfast was good.
