I always stay at Tru chain. I love the rooms and the lobby. This one was the first one I have stayed at that did not have a pool table and an outside gas fireplace. So a bit disappointed at that. It has foos-ball tables. Nice breakfast area.

Nice stay with good service. Really liked the lobby area. It was inviting and a nice area to hang out and visit with my travel companions. Breakfast was okay - nothing to give much thought to. Would stay again if I’m the area.

We normally stay at Hilton 4 star properties but was wondering how Tru by Hilton will be mine? However our perception changed we really liked the hotel overall. Safe place for solo or girls travelers. Parking was amazing. Staff was friendly and welcomed us with water bottles. Room was spacious and clean. Large bathroom. We loved the area. Special thanks to front desk “Britni” she was very helpful and awesome 👍😊

When booking on hotels.com it was stating there was a pool. Get there and then they state they dont have one. Was more expensive then what it stated on website.

This is a newer hotel that is clean, comfortable and modern. Easy free parking, nice employees and a beautiful wide view of trees from our room. Coffee offerings in the lobby. Great place to stay for the price.

The staff was very friendly especially the lady at the breakfast bar. She spoke to so many people whom didn’t speak back, the whole time with a welcoming smile. I made it a point to stop and speak to her. The outdoor lounge area was my favorite spot although it rained for most of my trip

Bed wasn't made one during the entire 3 day stay, but ont desk was good about leaving towels for us. The room smelled like pee. One of the pillows was so foul, I put it in the window sill and left it there. All things considered, I wouldn't stay here again.

Floors were not cleaned— tons of large dust/debris, a keycard, sugar packet, reminder pack list, pill on the bathroom floor. Half the lights don’t work. The remote doesn’t turn the TV on, you have to manually turn it on then it goes into frame-mode, after which the power from the remote turns on the smart interface. The bathroom light shut off on my while I was showering. Faucet was difficult to open.

Room was very disappointing. Only two bath towels for entire stay. No bath mat and no face towels. Only one roll of toilet paper upon arrival and the toilet made noise every ten minutes. The bathroom floor had hair and not been swept very well. The bed linens had a horrible smell to them and the only mirror in the entire room was the one in the bathroom. Would not stay here again. At check in we were told to minimize towel use and that there was not daily cleaning service. The breakfast was very average nothing very appetizing at all.

The hotel and room had a strange smell (kind of like mold), nothing around except the freeway, heard noises throughout the night (footsteps, banging), there wasn't a remote in the room and wifi didn't seem to be working. Horrible night's sleep. Will not stay here again.

The room I had was so uncomfortable. I had a room that had a king size bed in it, and you literally couldn’t move around the room. It was 3x smaller than a room with 2 queen beds. The AC was so noisy, it sounded like a lawn mower was going in the room! The toilet was making noise every 5 minutes, and the walls were super thin that you could literally hear EVERYTHING out in the halls and in the rooms next to me. And not to mention, The bed was hard as a rock… I usually enjoy staying at this chain of hotels, but this one was by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. But the staffed was so nice and so accommodating. That’s really the only positive I have for this hotel. Will not go again, or recommend to anyone.

If you are looking for a super simple hotel room with a fairly good complementary breakfast, this is your hotel. The furniture in the room looked like Ikea furniture but was in good clean condition. Our room was fairly small (single King bed). The bed was quite firm which was appreciated. The shower had some issues with the door and did not fully close so the bathroom floor was pretty wet after each shower. However, the area in which the hotel was located was very safe and quiet. In general, this mininimalist concept hotel was clean, safe, and it was a nice hotel.

The walls in the rooms are paper thin. We were kept awake by the noise of the room next door. The occupants were speaking at a normal volume, however we could hear every word that was said. There is construction on the road outside the hotel making entrance confusing and very unsafe.

It was very convenient after a game in downtown Detroit. Fairly priced. The room did not have a microwave or fridge, but was clean and check-in went smooth. When we went to check out, there was no one available for quite a while so we had to leave a note… but otherwise, we would definitely stay here again.

Nice Hotel, very well laid out, very clean; small rooms but perfect for a one or two night stay. Good location close to 12 Oaks Mall. Very nice breakfast in the morning. Staff was outstanding. One little problem in that we found a used beverage container on the floor next to the bed that wasnt ours. Kind of made you question how thorough cleaning was. Not a huge deal and I would stay there again if I needed to be in the area over night.

This is a great Hotel for short stays. It's new so it is modern and comfortable. My room was compact and modest, but clean, quiet and and the mattress and sheets comfortable. Price was fine and by far the best part of my experience was the front desk staff, especially Sterling who was super professional and helpful!

The service needs work. The gentleman that checked me in was not very friendly or inviting and there was one towel and no wash rags in my room and when I called down to the desk he told me there was a shortage and that I could come and get a wash rag. I thought he would have had one sent up to my room.

I was told at check in that housekeeping is by request. I requested the room to be cleaned everyday and the bed made. Not once did housekeeping come and clean the room. I would never stay at this hotel again

The hotel is good and modern. I like the colors inside and out. Comfortable and modern style. Breakfast is good and coffee is available all the time which is amazing! The best part was the service (specially a front desk gentleman named Sterling). Sterling was very professional, curious and attentive to my needs. His customer service skills were definitely a cherry on top. Next time I’m back in the area I will be booking this hotel again.

I was pleasantly surprised and had a good experience. I wasn’t having the best night and the guy who checked me (I believe his name is Preston) was mega kind, patient & helpful. I needed the compassion & I am very thankful I selected this hotel to stay at. Liked the modern aspect too & that it was very quiet. Thank you.

Courteous and accomodating staff, check in was a breeze for 3 rooms and 3 day stay. I was informed that due to the thanksgiving holiday no maid service would be available but to let front desk know if we needed anything. With that in mind, I felt like the rooms hould have been adequately stocked with at least one extra roll of toilet tissue. I had to ask for more for at least 2 of the rooms the same day of check in.The hot breakfast was tasty and satisfying. The fabuloso smell, to me, was a bit overpowering when entering hotel.

great check in to an obviously very new building very clean and quiet except the ac a bit noisy going on and off. did not try the breakfast as out of eggs and several items and staff did not seem to be in a hurry to refill other than that we loved it and will be back again
