Holiday Inn Express & Suites - Grenada by IHG

Elevator was out . Went to check in at 3 pm ( check in time) Room was not available. Since staff had to use stairs. When I asked did they have estimate time my room would be available said no. Staff was on 2 nd floor and was cleaning room 212 and they said my room was 224.Finally got checked in at 5 pm. They did give me a first floor room. Thank goodness. Looks like elevator had been not working since 5/11/2026. My stay was on 5/15 to 5/17 and elevator still not working when I left.Noisy. Could hear other rooms door closing and people talking in hallway.Free breakfast was okay but Omelette with cheese sort of rubbery. Sausage and oatmeal was okay. Room was nice and ac worked like a charm. So check and see elevator is working before you go.

Arrived for check-in around 8pm. It was quick and easy, and was given a first floor room which was nice. Unfortunately, due to the HVAC unit being directly underneath the window, the only curtains were the sheer white curtains that allowed a lot of the light from outside into the room making it difficult to sleep/stay asleep. It was only a short trip, as I checked out at around 4AM, but I did make this notice to the hotel as well.

The staff was great! The common areas were very clean and modern. The room was good until you got in the bathroom. The sink was chipped and moldy. There was mold all along the baseboards. The shower had a very large crack in the back wall. We didn't even use it. The breakfast area was clean, but half of the food was missing. No pancake batter no yogurt in the refrigerator etc. The cinnamon rolls didn't seem very fresh. Other than the great staff, it was a really disappointing stay.

We stay 4 nights our room was not clean Tuesday, Wednesday ,it was clean Thursday. The first night no towels in room. The entire stay we had to go down stairs to get Towels and tissue each nigh and put our trash out in hall along with wet towels each evening due to no service And to top off the stay today in checking out the elevator was out of order had to drag all luggage down stairs a 88 years old and a 73 year old was not fun! When leaving Florida Monday we were bill for the entire stay before even checking in Monday evening oh and when we did check in was charge a 80 dollar fee for amenities a joke which they said would be refunded still no refund!

Joyce at the front desk was awesome & the bed was amazingly comfortable, but that was the only positives. There was peanuts on the carpet at the edge of the bed & the bathroom floor had debris on it. There was mold around the tub & there was visible water leaks behind the toilet. The interior was in desperate need of a remodel. It was not what I expected from a Holiday Inn Express!
