Hotel room smelled like it had been smoked in and just covered up. Not the nicest areas and glad they had cameras on the parking lot. It was right next to the highway and plenty of options for food close by.

Discovered that elevator smells like wet dog, body odor, sweaty feet, and weed. Latch on door of second room was broken in half, room was otherwise fine. About what you would expect from a hotel in one of the lesser parts of Asheville.

Check in was great. Lady at the desk was super friendly. Room was small but clean. Got a room with a king sized bed. Pet friendly so be aware you might get woken up by some barking. My only complaint was every trash can was overfilled with trash in the stairwells. And there were multiple trash cans in the stairwells. Close to the highway and plenty of restaurants and gas stations.

There was only 1 elevator and it was outside. They had a "febreeze" scent with dog poop and pee smell. It was so strong it would take your breath. You could see where dogs had peed in the elevator. The door latch was not secure so we had to sleep with the chair in front of the door. This is one place we will not stay at again, just did not feel safe.

Great staff, quick for repairs, everything in the room worked good. But.....the stairways need to be power washed. Smoking still happens everywhere, the feeling of being a little unsafe with so many cars comi g and going most of the nights.

The outside grounds were cluttered with trash and the actual building was in need of a good power washing. Cigarette butts were all over the grounds. As for being remodeled, it looked like it was done by amateurs.The updates were already outdated. The carpeting was the cheapest.

The rooms are clean and located near restaurants and grocery stores. The front desk was very friendly and accommodating. The only thing this place needs is a washing machine and dryer for customers. But we knew there wasn’t one when we booked but just a suggestion! Would stay again and probably will, Asheville is wonderful.

This red roof Inn is not as updated as several others that I have stayed in. While there were some updates, there needs to be even more updates. The rooms were clean, but definitely could’ve been cleaner. There are no refrigerators, coffee, pots or microwaves in the rooms. The exterior of the building also leaves to be desired. The concrete walkways are in desperate need of pressure washing and are pretty disgusting looking. Also, I’m pretty sure they do weekly or long-term rentals, which sometimes does not lead to desired clientele.

The place smelled bad, the floors were filthy, the elevator was gross and smelled like a wet dog. The stairs to go from the first floor to the third floor were not lighted and some dog had pooped on one of the stairs. I will never book again with Expedia and no one should stay at this location. The grounds were dirty with trash.

I have stayed here a couple of times with pretty low expectations cause it’s a cheap spot, pet-friendly spot. It has always had some issues but was especially awful recently. Mystery stains on the comforter, sheets, walls, and floor, mold on the shower curtain, burn marks and deep stains on the pillows. There should be a bare minimum of standards, even for a motel. There were clearly none here. The staff was friendly though, so there’s that.

Horrible! Not clean, blood splattered all through out the bathroom, stains on the sheets. drug deals going down everywhere, people tweaking out on drugs in the parking lot. We did not stay!

Front desk staff was very kind and helpful. The room however had trash under the bed, dirty towels in the bathroom and live roaches in the bathroom as well. There were what I am guessing are drug users were outside in and out of rooms asking my partner and and for things and a ride. Neither of us could understand what they were saying. We did not feel safe so we left.

The smoke free hotel was not smoke free. Everywhere I turned there were cigarette butts on the ground, sidewalks, and the elevator. The sidewalks were heavily stained. The room ceiling was flaking and peeling. The bed cover had a cigarette burn. The sink barely drained for hours. The tub had hair in and on it. The bathroom ceiling had water stains and mold growing over the shower head. The shower curtain was covered in mold. Never go to this place if you want sleep in a clean hotel.

When my Uber driver picked me up from the airport, she said, "Oh God, you're staying there? Find a different hotel, that one is horrible." She was right. The room was so disgusting that I checked out immediately. Cockroaches running around in the bathtub, visibly filthy towels, comforter, and sheets, dirt and a dead bug all over the sink, and general grime everywhere. I'll never stay at a Red Roof again.

Door would not open. Maintenance came to look. No door handle on inside of door. Moved to another room and while the door worked, you had to life up to get it open. Deadlock was not functioning properly. Hotel was dirty. Top to bottom.

The staff were wonderful! The hard part was that our neighbors hung outside their room during the day and all night. People knocked on our door and their door. If you are going to stay here, do not stay on the first floor near the cars.

The clerk on duty, Billy, was amazing. When we arrived we were told our reservation showed cancelled, even though I had called earlier in the day to confirm. Billy was very reassuring and promised to get us squared away quickly, which he did. The room was clean but one of the mattresses' was horrible, I could feel the springs...also there was no coffee pot in the room which was disappointing.

Your basic hotel room. Convenient location (for our purposes) at a reasonable price. The best feature was radiant heat in the ceiling, meaning a cozy room with no noisy heater fan blowing through the night. No Microwave or fridge. The internet signal was strong but the connection was painfully slow.

When I checked in, the front desk lady who is on duty yesterday was awful and not friendly. She saw me struggling with a 1 year old in my other hand while she was soo impatience to make me sign the paper. Then, she didn’t give me direction to where my room was and just said it’s in 3rd floor, couldn’t find the elevator so I went back and asked to point me where my room is and pointed me to use the stairs to my room. I think she was very inconsiderate and no customer service because with my 1 yr old and when luggages, she didn’t care whether how I get there. Never again and this place is stinky and nasty

When I checked in and went to the room the room was not ready yet they were still trying to clean it and that was after 3:00.. when I tried to park in the handicap parking place they were cleaning air conditioners and had the handicap parking places blocked where you could not use them.. not a very good property the property is not that well cleaned the room look nice but the property itself was not very clean on the outside the maid was really nice she tried her best to get the room ready she cannot speak English but communicated back and forth on the phone she said they do this quite a bit they check people in in the rooms aren't ready looks to me like she needs help..

Was a good stay was booked into a room with no heat but was promptly moved to one with heat. Overall was a great stay. Needed extra towels got them. Id stay here again.

Bed was nice, tub was great with handicap rail in a spot to really use. Room clean. Everything worked. We have pets they were comfortable. We will try Red Roof again. Conveniently located.
