This hotel is dated (I got a literal key!). BUT … the bedding and room were clean. Bed was comfortable and the location was very convenient to where I was going every day. WiFi worked great - I spent part of my days working and didn’t have any issues. There is a pool that looked clean and well kept, but I didn’t have a chance to use it. Breakfast isn’t much. Coffee was OK and the staff I interacted with were very nice. Worth the price.

Last minute stay while traveling through Mt. Airy. We had a very good stay, especially for the price. We liked being able to park right at the door of our room, no stairs. The room was very clean, no carpeting, which is nice in an older motel. The bathroom looked newly remodeled. The only negative was the comforter was a little worn, but the sheets were crisp, clean, and very white. If ever here again, we would definitely stay here.

Check in was great. Guy was quick and efficient, very nice. Room was spotless, organized. Evidently recently remodeled. Room size was good for 2 adults, 2 kids. Best .. most comfortable motel bed I've slept on. Very quiet at night. Only thing I can complain.. not really... the tv picture was a bit dark, and I couldn't adjust it. Breakfast was a bit scarce, but area was clean and neat. Probably the best motel I've been in as far as I can remember. Kids loved the pool BTW!

This is a basic room in a Budget motel, but recommend for a one night stay due to renovation and cleanliness. If spending multiple nights in area you may want a facility with more amenities.

The room was very clean, no carpeting, which is nice in an older motel. The bathroom looked newly remodeled. Pleasantly surprised, from the outside you know it's an older building but my room appears to be recently renovated, look exactly like the photos online, spotless, even the bedding appears to be new. Bed extremely comfortable. The towels are adequate, not fluffy but certainly not thread bare. Frig was on and cold. My only suggestion is a small alarm clock so you know what time it is in the middle of the night. Sadly, the breakfast was disappointing, no fruit, no yogart, there was instant oatmeal but no water to make it with. Only squeeze margarine for toast, no english muffins, and didn't see any jam or peanut butter. Orange juice tasted sour. The gentlemen that checked me in was very nice. Would definitely stay here again.

The rooms were very nice, clean and comfortable, except for the AC unit. It was super noisy and set high in the wall so that it blew air all across the room. I cannot sleep with air blowing directly on me (I'll wake up with a completely stuffed up head) so we couldn't use the air all night and the room got warm and a bit stuffy. Otherwise it was a great room, just needs a better AC setup.

We didn’t stay the pictures of the room were not like what u saw when u get there. The breakfast area was the size of a small break room with 3 tables . Rooms are very small and bed was hard. Also there was no mention of the pool being closed and this was one reason for booking this place. I had a child with me and she was very disappointed. The manager told us we had to contact hotels.com to cancel and they were very unhelpful and not courteous at all. They wanted to charge us for one night and that wasn’t happening. How do you know what you’re getting til you arrive. The First Lady said a manager would call me in 2 to 3 hours never heard back. I then spoke to someone else who was hard to understand and he told me to handle it myself and hung up on me!!!! I was so mad but they didn’t get any of my money. Don’t recommend this place to anyone and if u do go make sure all the amenities are available.

Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, my family wasn’t able to check in on the night we had booked. Wanting to be courteous and avoid being a “no-show,” I messaged the hotel through the booking app, which said someone from the property would follow up with me directly. Days went by with no response, and then I noticed we were charged for the night. When I called the hotel to inquire, the gentleman I spoke with was surprisingly aggressive. He curtly explained that they don’t offer refunds—regardless of whether you show up—because “it’s a business.” I tried to explain that families budget carefully for vacations and that it would’ve been helpful to at least receive some communication. He seemed annoyed and dismissive. I would not recommend Knights Inn in Mount Airy, NC based on the poor customer service alone. The motel was older, but well maintained. The owner was friendly. They provided a nice continental breakfast with a cute dining area in the lobby. If you are looking for a nice, clean place and don’t mind that it is a little older, then you probably won’t mind staying here. The location is great and close to all the attractions of Mount Airy.

It was nice, people were friendly and accommodating. Room was remodeled and nice and clean. Curb appeal needed some cleaning up. Sidewalks old and dirty. Ice machine was filthy dirty on the outside so I couldn't bring myself to use the ice. They had a real nice continental breakfast. Nice area, we ate at Coaches across the street and it was nice then we got ice cream at Aunts Beas. I would recommend. Only thing is it was 10 miles from the highway. I didn't like having to drive that far.

The only bad thing I can say about this hotel is it offers breakfast but breakfast was horrible. There was no fruit. There was 2 type of cereal with milk sitting on the counter at room temperature. There was coffee and OJ. There was a loaf bread for toast. So don’t count on breakfast. The pool was nice, the room was large and clean. The in room microwave was from the 80’s but worked and the mini fridge was small but worked for a couple of cans of soda.

It was the perfect place for our overnight stay. The room was clean, the mattress firm and ther staff was friendly. The only problem was the ice machine was broken and there was no breakfast. The room didnt have a coffee maker so we had to go out.

Disappointed… was unwilling to check us in 30 minutes before check in time (2:00pm) room smelled stale… tv was unwatchable, too dark to watch, unable to fix brightness. Breakfast was unacceptable. Juicy machine broken, muffins day old. No milk for cereal. No water in soda machine. Coffee was good though.

It was clean & quiet. Breakfast was a joke. We got 2 honey buns that were stale. This was at 8:30 am. Thats all that was there. But, as far as the room, I would stay there again.

Pleasantly surprised, from the outside you know it's an older building but my room appears to be recently renovated, look exactly like the photos online, spotless, even the bedding appears to be new. Bed extremely comfortable. The towels are adequate, not fluffy but certainly not thread bare. Frig was on and cold. My only suggestion is a small alarm clock so you know what time it is in the middle of the night. Sadly, the breakfast was disappointing, no fruit, no yogart, there was instant oatmeal but no water to make it with. Only squeeze margarine for toast, no english muffins, and didn't see any jam or peanut butter. Orange juice tasted sour. The gentlemen that checked me in was very nice. Would definitely stay here again.
