Good choice for an economy hotel. Clean and has what you need. No breakfast but close to lots of food places. Nice bed and bath. There seemed to be yellow taped off are , not sure why. Not a good look. Could not find ice.

Was situated on side of the highway so road noise was a constant hum Not well insulated from noise and easily hear peoples conversation if they are right outside. No problem hearing people from room to room however Staff were nice although pet friendly no dogs allowed in lobby for check in. I was by myself and did not appreciate having to tie dog up outside to register. But he was quick about it since I had signed up on Expedia app

No electric car chargers as advertised on ur web site! We drove a long way out of our way to stay there because you advertise electric car chargers as an additional amenity. Furthermore. I spilled a bit of water on the floor and cleaned it up with a hand towel. The towel become filthy …. The floors were filthy. I could go on but we are furious at your misleading advertisement

Seems to be in a cell service dead zone. Could barely get service for my cell, and their wifi stunk...I spend part of the evening in their lobby doing work as that was the only place I could get wifi to work. Room smelled incredibly damp/mildewy. Mediocre cleaning job. Depending on what side of the property your room faces, you have a storage facility (quiet) or a freeway (not quiet). Would not stay here again, mostly because of the way the room smelled. I'm shocked none of us woke up with a headache the next morning.

It was subpar and we paid way too much for this room. Burns spots on the linens… we have pictures…mold in shower, curtains full of holes, it is what would expect and have paid for a $39.00 room.

This was the worst hotel stay in my life. The room reeked of cigarette smoke. The bed cover had cigarette burns in it. The TV didn't work correctly. The plumbing was broke under the sink. The shelf was falling off the wall. The lamp was rusty. The ironing board had snot or something on it. The ceiling popcorn was coming off. The fire alarm was hanging off the wall. Mold smell was terrible. I would never stay at this location again. Red Rood, this was your last chance. I kept trying to give you another try but this was the last. Completely unacceptable.

Checked into our room after a long day on the road. Our room was infested with cockroaches and the front desk person just smiled and asked if we wanted another room. We left immediately and went down the road to a clean hotel. I would NOT give your money to this hole. Stay clear!

There are no smoking signs but people smoke right outside their room. The room was dirty. Soap was caked on the shower. Shower was dirty. Walls and doors covered in something. I had to go out and buy cleaning supplies to clean it. If it hadn't paid I would have left.

The bed was terribly uncomfortable and very used you sunk down into it and no matter the direction you tried to sleep your lower body was above your head they did not have a refrigerator or anything in the room it was just overall just blah a lot of noise around the area .. will not return in the future we ended up checking out early !

The staff and the Gen Mgr Neil Patel refused to honor my second night cancellation although I have email confirmation from Expedia and a phone call with front desk staff. Horrible horrible people. My sister had just died and I needed to leave and I left at 1 am in the morning drove 6.5 hrs back home only to find out the Gen Mgr didn't care and I was charged the full two nights. I did everything correctly. Even the front desk Andi said he didnt speak to me. They are all liars and I will tell everyone of this horrible, uncaring experience. Terrible people. Terrible!

Nice for a cheap room. The hotel was quiet and clean. Our room had been remodeled and had comfortable beds. Some of the exterior of the hotel was worn, but you can see they are trying with it. The front desk staff was great.

Normally I don't review, but I think it might helpful to share the fact that they've got poor management and not given enough respect to their guests. As I was offended by the manager, I contacted Red Roof guest relations, they replied my request 15 days later, a week after I've checked out and informed "unable to offer any resolution. The matter is considered closed with our office and unable to further assist" First time I hear a case is closed or resolved through single party. I have been loyal guest of this hotel for many times, but completely disappointed by their poor management style recently. The manager talked to me in a manner like I'm his son or someone he can give order to. He probably owns the hotel, but it's community and travellers rise him up. I've been to many countries and feel astonished to be treated in hospitality industry in the best country of the world . He has never in person apologize for what his improper manner and rude communication style. A big surprise, and I promise myself will not visit this place again.

Let me start by saying that the hotel itself seemed okay on the outside. We went to the check in to see if it would be possible to get in early and were greeted by a young man wearing pajama pants. Of course, we couldn't get in early (it was 2pm). When we came back at 3 mins to 3pm, we were told we would need to wait 3 mins to check in. Then we were informed that there was a mandatory $100 CASH ONLY deposit needed and we could use the ATM in the "lobby" to get cash. The check-in clerk stated that they could not give me any sort of receipt for the cash given and that those were the rules. It was very shady so we left. I wouldn't recommend staying there.

Front desk service (owner) wasn' freindly. I arrived ariund 840 PM. Owner wasn't kind and did not greet me. Looked bothered as I entered lobby. Didn’t give me a greeting. I said good evening and he said, ID. Gave me keys and said the room number. I did tried to speak coordially. No responses. Was rude and seemed repulse. Room was sufficient. Outdated but only needed a clean(ish) room. Bed was ok. Bathroom needs more care.

Front desk was very rude. Rooms look very dated. Could add a few boogers to the wall and complete a mural already there. Mold growing beside the ac unit. Toilet flused sometimes.......

I really like this Red Roof plus. I can walk to a Chinese restaurant, or a grocery store even have pizza or Italian food. All with in walking distance. There's a circle K about 100 yards up the street to fill the tank and get coffee in the early morning.

We were pleasantly surprised with the upgrades to the room, vinyl plank look floor, modern sink and fixtures, tub enclosure. Being it was close to the interstate the traffic noise was heard but not unbearable.

Although the hotel was fine and close to the Interstate exit. The area (Statesville) is less desirable. Visited in 2022 and 2023. Won't be visiting in 2024. Will travel a bit further to another North Carolina town for our overnight stay.

It's a convenient roadside location. It's not where I had planned to stay the night, but I had a long drive, the hour was getting late, it was raining and ... the Red Roof Plus was nearby. Check-in was smooth. The room itself was ... no-frills. I'm not sure what the "Plus" in "Red Roof Plus" means, but it definitely does not mean in-room coffee. Nor does it mean coffee in the lobby. Still, everything worked (fridge, tv, and so on). The room was clean.
